Delice & Sarrasin
Absolutely delicious and imaginative vegan food! It's a cozy, quiet restaurant, easy to hear the other person talk. Every time we go there we have the vegan escargots and onion soup (both wonderful). We had the cheese plate and brie/potato dish. For dessert we had the lavender rice pudding (a favorite, incredibly aromatic) and orange creme brulee. Service was efficient without being pushy. We were there for a couple of hours and no one was shooing us out of there.
I loved my experience here. My favorite thing here was either the cheese platter or the orange crème brûlée - both were amazing!
This was my second time here but I was less impressed this go around. They seem to have added more tables in the already ultra cozy space so you’re literally sitting on top of your neighbor. Food was good but a little underwhelming. I don’t think I’ll be rushing back again.
Valentines Day. Lovely as usual!
Unfortunate that they have enough cancelations to enact the “must give us credit card to make a reservation” deal. Didn’t feel it should be necessary for a 2:15 reservation. Oh well though.
Amazing as always!!
Dinner was delicious and delightful. This was our first time at the restaurant. The food was so good. Our 22 yo daughter and I shred the ‘salmon’ and avocado appetizer and husband had the faux gracias. Both items were such a great surprise and so good. Husband had the steak frite. He is the meat eater in the family and thought it was pretty good for faux steak. Daughter and I shared the cassoulet and a crepe, both very good. I really enjoy French food, and it was so good to be able to have these once favorite foods veganized to enjoy again. We highly recommend. Service is very pleasant and warm. Though the restaurant is tiny, it it big on flavor.
Amateur service, did not take time to explain dishes, no flexibility on switching table, disappointing food, and tried to hurry us out for another reservation after 1 hour 10 minutes.
Food was great and service excellent.
I did find the food a bit salty for my taste.
Our family of six came here for a retirement celebration. It is small, so definitely make reservations if you are more than two people. The waitstaff was very accommodating to our group. And moreover, the food was amazing! Every dish we had was richly flavored and beautifully presented. And how unique is it to find a French restaurant that is all-vegan!? C'est bien!
The food was delicious and what a cute restaurant!
My only suggestion would be to have more plant forward choices for mains rather than fake seafood and meat dishes. There are so many delicious French vegetable dishes that I wish had been incorporated in the menu. I personally would rather have a delicious vegetable based main dish than fake seafood.
Charming little place serving vegan versions of traditional French fare. The coq au vin was delectable as was the melted “Brie” starter.
The steak frites were fantastic. The Baked Brie was great as well although the portion was minuscule. The Niçoise salad was not nicoise at all but was $22 for a mixed green salad which is inappropriate.
Great date night spot.
Always amazing! This was our first time bringing both kids (ages 3 and 5) and they were so accommodating. Our 5yr old summed up the experience by exclaiming "Well, this is lovely!" 😁
Great for vegan dining
Not many Vegan options. This is a nice one, but very small restaurant
Our first time trying Delice & Sarrisan. My wife eats a plant based diet so I was pleased to discover it. Quaint setting and attentive service. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. Both the “Beef Bourgeon” and “Cassoulet” were so salty that we could not finish them. Also, with some excellent organic and biodynamic wine being produced, I’m not sure why they have such a limited selection of generic vegan wine that did not taste much of anything.
If you are someone who enjoys great food and you are a vegan or at least someone who wants to have a grand experience, then you have to go to Delice & Sarrasin. The atmosphere, the staff are marvelous, but the food is to DIE FOR! Give yourself a treat, I do.
Super well executed vegan cuisine. Delicious
Vegan Brie Roti? Oui, oui! The crèpes are also to die for!
Every single item is delicious from the wine to the dessert. The server was friendly and patience. Also love the location.
This is the most amazing food in NYC! If you like French food, try this.
I have always had a wonderful time here. The food is incredible. Great place for lunch with a friend or a celebratory dinner. I go every chance I get!
We had a wonderful experience at Delice & Sarrasin. It’s a tiny place, but full of warmth and delicious food. It was so wonderful to have vegan versions of all of my favorite dishes. The french onion soup was wonderful and while we couldn’t get a photo, the Beef Bourginion was AMAZING. We’ll definitely be back.
we had one of the best meals we have ever had. we couldn't believe that french gourmet menu could be made all vegan. the service could not have been better. we can't wait to go back.
What a gem of a restaurant. Vegan. Organic. And French. Doesn't get better than that.
New to being on a plant based diet and this is the best I have had in NYC. The brie, beef, and burger were amazing.
Best vegan restaurant - maybe even best overall restaurant - in NYC. Always a treat. One of the few places where I feel like I'm getting a unique experience.
Amazing. We ordered the escargot, the coq au vin, the Rossini, the creme brûlée, and a bottle of wine, and everything was amazing. And we got out under $200! So delicious. The wait staff was lovely and attentive. Would highly, highly recommend.
Awesome! Amazing French Vegan food. We had a great meal.
It was our second visit to Delice and Sarrasin having been incredibly impressed the first time. Once again the food was excellent and our guest - a chef was very much in awe of the mix of flavours. The service however wasn’t as good as before - wrong dishes brought over, no warmth from the server and seemed like a lack of care, one starter arrived and then the other - french onion soup took another 15 minutes. It was only because we asked that we were told that it was prepared incorrectly the first time and needed to be made again. Whilst we were enjoying our desserts the bill was just just dropped on our table to hurry us along, when we were still considering coffee and it just felt like we were being rushed out of the restaurant for the next table to arrive. We would love to return as we think the concept is fantastic but didn’t appreciate the service given on this occasion
Food always amazing. Very special
Food is incredible.. it blows my mind it’s a plant based restaurant and food made in house.
As usual, Delice the environment and quaintness of the restaurant really gives a tiny authentic find off a Parisian side-street. Can’t wait to go back soon, one of our favorites!
Fantastic, delicious and so nice. We've enjoyed our stay and we will be back on our next NY vacation.
Delice & Sarrasin had some of the best french food I have ever had, not to mention everything was vegan! there is also tons of gluten free/soy free dishes on the menu. Decently priced for a nice night out to dinner.
This is our favorite restaurant in NYC. We visit from Boston 2x per year and go every time. Truffle fries are amazing and the Coq au Vin is terrific.
Our all time favorite vegan place in NYC. French based food to die for!
Service was excellent and the cooking was superb - couldn’t believe everything was vegan and tasted so flavourful
