   We where a group of five friends night April 20 last Saturday, four of my friends choosed the Prix Fix Dinner Menu, even the price is the same as the food separately. One of them did not want the desert after the entree and ask for cancellation, Nicole the attendence was horrible, look mad at us, get confused our request and brought just one desert and charged for the four on the bill, so as the desert was going to be charged anyway we asked for all of them, she took the check from our table leave and include the tips. She brought the other three desserts and the check with +20% before tax on our bill. Told us that the manager ask for her to charge the tip as obligatory 20%, that's why. We have all the money for this even we didn't agree with the tips. But Them she refused to get for dollar in one dollar coins, told that she could not have less then the total (even the tips are not obligatory) and wen I told her to take out of the tips because we just have coins for that last for dollars, she accepted the coins. So the food is really overpriced, the waitress Nicole horrible, the manager charg for tips obligatory before tax, first table was so small that three of us could not move the arms, and the menu Prix Fix makes no sense. Not a place to come back. One good star for the good food, fine but not that great food, one bad star for the worst ever waitress and her manager.

   Everyone's food was amazing, the duck and steak frite. But I got the scallops and they were wayyyy too salty, almost inedible. Dessert was also amazing.

   The ambiance and location were nice. I did have a few problems that would not make me go back again though. I actually saw this restaurant on Toni on NY, where the lobster mac was highly recommended, so this was perfect for a date night. I arrived about 6:pm which was 15 minutes b4 my reservation and was told I had to wait about 15 minutes, which I did not mind. When the 15 minutes came up, I was given the choice to either eat outside (where it was quite cold and windy) or to wait another 15-20 minutes, in order to be seated inside. I chose to eat in the cold because we had plans to be uptown by 8pm. After all of this, the one dish that we came for was not available, because they ran out. Why was that not told to me when I checked in, or by the waiter when I sat down, before looking at the menu. I explained to him that I was not happy about these two things, considering I came her from Jersey. He simply asked me if I wanted a different mac and cheese and my answer was no. I'm not going to pay for something that I don't want, just because you ran out of something I came here for. I did order a turkey burger and Parmesan fries that were nice, but definitely won't go there again, since none of my expectations were met. I wan't even comped $1 for the outdoor seating or the running out of the lobster mac. No bueno.

   Went there specifically for lobster mac and cheese and they were all out. It is a Saturday night in nyc and your out? What kind of planning is this? Also hostess at checkin too busy on phone to acknowledge us ...waited 10 minutes after being ignored. Place is totally mismanaged

   It was my first time at Delicatessan and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back. The waitress was great, food was excellent and the vibe of the resturant was even better

   Great food and service. I told our server that we were the clients from hell, and she took it in her stride. You can’t go wrong at Deli!

    The food was a decent tasting, but the portions were rather small for the price you pay. The restaurant has a cool vibe to it, but incredibly loud. We practically had to shout across the table to each other. Great service though! Worth checking out if you’re into the overpriced trendy deli type places.
