Dinner with friends was a delight. Great options and delicious entrees. We’ll be back!
My boyfriend and I came to this restaurant for a valentines dinner, and the food was wonderful overall but our service was horrible. The waiter who was a young ethiopian lady I’m assuming, did not know how to do her job. She was just so odd and didn’t seem like she wanted to be there. I didn’t even see her smile once. I understand the job can be tough or she was probabaly having a bad day but please don’t ruin others nights especially on such a special day. Personally if I’m having a bad day I would never treat others the way she treated us. When we were ready to order we ordered some drinks and she just walked away without us even finishing. She didn’t ask if there is anything else we can get. My boyfriend had to turn around and get her and tell her we are ready. It was super uncomfortable but overall the food was delicious. Just needs new employees!
Excellent foodie place. Service was great!. Food was to die for. Recommend for a couples date or group.
Service sucked. Waiter was too busy socializing with other waiters and kitchen staff.
We tried to get their attention for almost everything -drinks ,food order, dessert and even the check. I came because I used to have the best octopus. It was too charred for me to enjoy. The grilled fish was okay.
Service was amazing, Nick the bartender took great care of us, food was delicious.
Always great food and service!
We really enjoyed celebrating my husband’s New Year’s birthday. There was plenty of seating when we arrived and the smell of the brick oven was amazing! Our server was very kind and attentive, Sylvana (?). The food was plentiful and quite tasty. We will definitely be returning. The pesto pizza was great!
Love it. Good good. Friendly staff. Not noisy
The 4 of us had different items, all were very enjoyable
Hello! We love that your party enjoyed everything. We are taking steps to fix the ventilation. Hope to see you soon Thanks Team Delia’s
Service was slow
I have had three meals at this location. On all three occasions, the odor from the open kitchen was an issue for me and my companion. I don’t know if it is the grill or the pizza oven, but one or both are not adequately ventilated. We gratefully inhaled fresh air when we exited. Won’t be back.
Delia's is in an unlikely spot - a pad site in a neighborhood shopping center - but, as soon as you step inside, you realize you're in a locally owned restaurant, not a chain. The decor is chic Mediterranean, with comfy tables and booths and seating that spills outside onto a patio. The food is reliably good (well, the pizza is a little bland) - we particularly like the halloumi flambe. But the service is hit-or-miss. We've dined here about half a dozen times. Twice, service has been great - prompt, attentive. But the other times, it's been problematic. On our most recent visit, we waited 10 minutes for water. Then two of our group's entrees came out in 40 minutes - and the third took nearly an hour, at which point the other two entrees were cold. It took 15 minutes to get our check. Our server was very apologetic, and I have a feeling the problems stemmed from a poorly timed kitchen and and understaffed schedule.
Food was very good, and reasonably priced, but the service was very slow and at times the server was unpleasant. They ended up comping a few items for the delay (45 mins to get a bowl of soup as a starter!). There were a couple of other issues, including...rats! One camped out near our table outside. The management blamed the landlord for not taking care of the issue, which apparently is not new. But rather than remove it, he draped a dinner napkin over the rat, which still made me a little queasy. Then there was broken glass near our outside table from cracked light bulbs. It took quite a while to get anyone to clean it up. I didn't expect a fine dining experience, but the unresponsive service and other issues made for a less than enjoyable experience. I hope they can get these issues sorted out, because the food is really very good.
Delia's has become a go-to restaurant for us. There's variety on the menu and the food and service are consistent and good. Everyone we've taken here has really liked it. My favorites are the Riviera salad and pizza knuckles, but everything I've had here I enjoyed. It's great for a casual meal at the bar or a nice dinner with friends.
I've been here four times recently, each time with different friends. The food is really outstanding and everything we've had has been something I would happily reorder. If you're a thin crust (think NY style) pizza lover this might not be for you, because this is a thicker, chewier crust. Still delicious and has the brick oven flavor. The pastas are amazing, and we've had several. The Branzino was delicious and perfectly prepared, and you cannot miss out on the flaming cheese appetizer! Several friends have ordered the Sangria, which you can get red or white, and they loved it. Our only complaint is the service. One gentleman server has hit on one woman in my party each time we were there, and they were different friends each time so this is clearly a pattern. You have to ask to place your order, and you will sit for a long time before anyone even asks if you want a drink unless you flag them down. But I will keep going back because the food is just that good!
High quality food with friendly service and casually posh digs, with outdoor space. What more?
Delicious Greek-style lasagna, excellent soup and salad. Very good service. Can't think of one negative thing. One more positive.....right around the corner from the incredible Avant Bard Theatre, which has a great production of A Misanthrope going.
Great food- a little sow on service
GREAT BRUNCH MENU as well as their normal menu. We split the chicken and waffles (so good) and then had brunch dessert and split the tiramisu French toast. Great service.
Delia's was wonderful. I'm a huge fan of Mediterranean food and they did not disappoint. Everything we had was excellent.
Great restaurant. Always good choices on the menu, and staff are pleasant, helpful and professional.
The steak I had was tough and too expensive to be that way. Salads were fabulous
Chef Chad did it again with an amazing pasta and sea food dish that had so many layers of flavor each forkful was a new experience!!! The tender seafood pared with the slightly spicy red sauce and hand made pasta was a trip to the Mediterranean. The service was exceptional to match the great food. Thank you!
Great menu. Everything was prepared beautifully and tasted excellent. I would go back in a heartbeat.
the food there is great...service was not - slow...had to take drink order twice before drinks arrived
Great food everytime that I've been there. Mother's Day service and seating was a bit slow, but only because everyone showed up at 11am when they opened.
We had a great meal and loved sitting outside enjoying the spring evening. Pizza was delish. I had the bronzino--done perfectly with yummy vegetables. My husband's gyro was also very tasty. We had attentive service and a very nice evening.
Nice Sunday brunch.
They need more wait staff, we had to wait a long time for food and drinks. A bit too loud for me.
Phenomenal food -- the veal pappardelle entree and grilled octopus appetizer were delicious. Staff is very friendly and service is prompt. Will definitely come back!
The best pizza! Salads are a treat as they include a variety of ingredients based on the season. Because of a special, I ordered a starter--grilled cauliflower--which turned out to be mushy and floating in a bed of white something. Not good. First time I've had something not so good at Delia's. For a Saturday night, it was slow when we arrived, but then picked up. Happy to see the restaurant doing well. A crowd but not noisy. Families with children, singles at bar, older couples--a pleasant mix representing the neighborhood. Cordial maitre'd' and server, Silvana, is terrific.
The short rib gnocchi and salmon are absolutely amazing. As are their pizzas, calamari, and, of course, their famous Greek salad dressing.
Pleasant. Great food.
Cocktails were overly sweet and uninspired. Lettuce in the Greek salad was chopped like it belonged on a taco and FLOODED with dressing. Cauliflower appetizer was bizarre with the purée. The overall service was really bad even though the place was mostly empty on a Friday night. The only enjoyable parts of the meal were the welcoming reception from the host and decent pizza.
Always wonderful !
This place is great. Good and service were wonderful.
Chef Chad did it again with his Chef’s Choice pasta that had shrimp and lobster in a white wine sauce. His sauce was perfect with just the right touch of butter, shallots, and spices. But the sweet, melt in your mouth lobster was just superb!!! His seafood is always prepared perfectly, never over or under cooked, but this dish was over the top! Thank you Chef Chad for another out of the park home run! The great service was another high point to a very enjoyable experience!
First time at Delia's - service was first-rate, the Pesto Pizza was amazing, very comfortable atmosphere. Absolutely recommend it!
Came for brunch. Host and hostess were both pleasant and seated us right away. Our waiter was great - timing and attention were right on.
We started with roasted cauliflower app and small Greek salad. Both were delicious. You’d think something as simple as a Greek salad couldn’t be special but this was really good.
Also ordered the bucatini pasta cacio y pepe and the salmon Benedict. Again - both were so delicious. We also had drinks - the Angelaaa (and I enjoyed the waiter’s pronunciation) and the other had brandy and ginger beer but I forget the name. Again, both were lovely.
We enjoyed our food, drinks and the staff was awesome.
