A very lovely place, the food is great and the staff are incredibly kind. The only issue was with the fish one of our party ordered. It was served as-is, and they almost choked on a bone. I wish there were an option to have the bones removed for those who prefer it.

The Cuisine, Wine recommendations and Staff attentiveness have always have elevated our dining experience. The pacing of our meal from appetizers to dessert was very organized, and done with panache.

As we were finishing up our meal, we marvel that after coming to this restaurant for so many years that our experience was perfection. We were a party of three and sat at the bar. The vibe, the bartender Abraham, the music, the food, the timing, everything.

Absolutely stellar dining experience ~ from the initial greeting to the entire wait staff to the ambience, Delfina knows what they’re doing and clearly has it dialed in . . . We started with the S.F. Halibut Crudo with sorrel, Meyer lemon & avocado ($23) ~ super fresh and a great way to start the experience. Then the Fazzoletti pasta with pesto, potatoes and garden beans and pine nuts ($29) that beautifully sets the stage for the headlining act . . . Ladies and gentlemen ~ silence please . . . queue the music . . . the Trippa Alla Fiorentina ($19 ~ yes, $19) arrives on stage in a bubbling hot cast iron Staub pan . . . pro-tip, make sure to request the support group/staff (bread) to arrive at the same time = the Pane a Pale ~ super soft/moist bread ($7) with a side of Ricotta with dried tomatoes and oil ($9) ~ pause, now get a visual of the ciabatta-like bread with the warm soft ricotta cheese to smother all over it ~ then being dipped in the cast iron pan soaking up the rich bolognese-like sauce with tripe . . . along with a perfectly curated Barolo wine (thanks Keira) ~ that combination will leave you speechless and out of your seat ~ at a full standing ovation. Note: My Italian grandparents would have been very impressed to say the least. And just when you thought we were done, there’s an encore . . . the Affogato Corretto ($17) a beautiful presentation and a perfect way to end this evenings event. Heads up: Delfina is one of those dining establishments that will leave you wondering if you should cancel your other reservations, while still seated at Delfina ~ to experience more, if not all on their menu.

Made last minute reservation then had even more last minute additional person join us. Host was very accommodating and gracious about the whole situation. Food was fantastic and we were able to sample a number of things family style. Highly recommend!

Excellent, attentive service, thoughtful and delicious menu, varied and reasonably priced wine list. Noise level 1-2 tics too high, especially when two people sitting at a small table directly across from each other can only intermittently be understood.

Always feel so welcomed at Delfina. Minor updates to menu were great, especially the Crudo. Pasta was 10 / 10! The wait staff was incredibly kind and positively conversational— made us feel so right at home.
