Delaware and Hudson features a tasting menu that changes weekly to ensure that only in-season, farm-fresh ingredients are used. The Tavern features an a la carte menu of regional favorites as well as items from the tasting menu. Delaware and Hudson also serves brunch every weekend, and lunch daily.
The food was fabulous. The little bites at the beginning of meal were delicious-each bite was perfect! The whole meal was perfectly portion, by the end I was pleasantly full. The wine list was interesting and the server provided good recommendations.
I really enjoyed the leisurely pace of the meal, it was not rushed or overly long.
Service, food, and atmosphere make this a must do!
The service was great. They gave us complimentary champagne and chocolates for our anniversary. Very quick and attentive staff. We will be back again
Had Brunch here with family. Food was good. Waiter was nice but not very attentive. Cant comment too much b/c I didnt have the dinner menu but at the same time dont feel the need to return after this meal.

I am so gutted we wasted our last night in Brooklyn going here. Everything was awful. I'm surprised it's still open. When there are so many fab places in Williamsburg I am still so upset to have spend an evening at this restaurant.

Their evening tasting menu might be worth the Michelin star but the lunch menu is banal and overpriced. Would not recommend at all.
Very disappointed with the food. We’d been there before and enjoyed ourselves and wanted to try it again. Courses came out way too fast. We couldn’t appreciate anything we were eating, and what we ate was frankly mediocre. With a fixed price/menu place like this we expect more of a dining experience and we just didn’t get that here this time. We were in and out in about an hour. We won’t go back I’m sorry to say.
This was my second visit to D&H. The first visit--I overheard a conversation between a woman who worked there and her friend!--was a delightful surprise. The second did not disappoint and displayed a consistency in flavor, presentation, service and quality of food. The ramp carbonara was once again excellent: it was delicate and did not overwhelm.

We had a very average dining experience at D & H. While the restaurant kindly accommodated our reservation change from 2 to 3 people just a few hours before arrival, when we did arrive on time it took a very long time for anyone to even acknowledge us. When we were finally seated it took forever to receive our drinks...our server was very sweet tho. We all had the prix fixe menu...first starter arrived and then the next three were brought out all at once which seemed rushed and odd. The radishes and asparagus were simple but fresh, the liver mousse was excellent but the fried oyster was an after thought with little taste. The pasta course was unbelievably salty to the point where I almost couldn’t eat it...but I did. We all had different entrees...the rice porridge was fabulous ...dotted with fresh peas and herbs, not too rich ...really the best part of the meal. The others had sea bass and duck which they enjoyed. Dessert was a blueberry and shortbread combo that was ok. All in all ...with the exception of the rice porridge...an average meal, I was expecting so much more.
The food was not good and definitely NOT worth the price fixe price. I would never ever go back.
The reviews I read about this place were all really good... I don’t get it. The food was mediocre at best. The food was simple and pretty flavorless.
A true local, seasonal cuisine. Not cheap, but authentic. Worth every penny.

Menu is very seasonal and heavily focuses on just a few ingredients. Very well made plates. A bit too much garlic on a few dishes. Some dishes came out unevenly heated and a bit delayed. Flavor was there. Space was pleasant. Price was reasonable. Would return but not dying to.
Always outstanding food, presentation and service. Family gathering from Bklyn, and NJ. Great location, accommodating and flexible...spent time lingering over coffee and drinks and felt relaxed the entire time we were there. Outstanding food...oops. said that already!

This dinner was a miracle of spring... ramps in all their wonder. And to top them off morels! So wonderful. Inventive.
This was a first visit for us (and only because someone in the staff goes to the gym I go to and I overheard a conversation about the restaurant). I'm glad I have big ears because our meal was a pleasant surprise. Food kept coming out, one better and more exquisite than the last. The flavors were different enough so that you could appreciate them independently but put together, the experience felt like a delicate layering, as in lace over silk organza. A definite repeater.

Incredibly warm service, gracious host, delicious food, and charming ambience. Imagine dinner with your beat friends at whichever of your friends had the best home to host the occasion. That is Delaware and Hudson.
Dinner at Delaware & Hudson was one of our Brooklyn highlights. We signed up for the tasting menu and would really recommend it. Every course was delicious and beautifully presented. Our waitress was also very attentive, friendly and gave a good intro to each of the dishes. If you're looking for great food, a warm atmosphere and all of that without breaking the bank, we'd recommend this place!
Probably some of the worst service we’ve had in a while and I’m not sure how this place ever received a Michelin star. Spent over an hour waiting for our food at brunch and when we finally got it we were underwhelmed by what we got. Would not recommend coming here and will not be going back.

First time trying out a Michelin star restaurant. Perhaps the expectation was too high. Some how the decor, service and food taste didn't meet up with my expectation. Only food decor worth a five star rating. Many of non Michelin star restaurant that I have tried do better than this one.
Arrived a few mins before reservation to a half empty restaurant. We were shown to a table right beside the servers station. We asked if we could move to the next table so we wouldn’t be so close to the station and the server said no! When we asked why, she said it wasn’t set up. The only things missing from that table were two (2) mugs;everything else was set! When we looked incredulous, she made a face and angrily (no kidding!) picked up two mugs from the table she wanted us to sit at and plonked them on the table we wanted. She grabbed them by the top ie with her fingers on the rim. She then stormed off!
We wanted to walk out but had a small window for a meal before an appointment so we reluctantly stayed. On a positive note, our waitstaff (and two others we saw) was friendly. We were offered coffee and menus. To keep things simple because we now had low expectations, we both ordered buckwheat pancakes. We were seated at 1.30 and ordered at 1.40. At 2 I asked waitstaff if she could check on our order. She came back and apologised, saying they were short staffed in the kitchen and pancakes would be out ASAP. Did I mention that the restaurant was NOT full?! When we got there, two tables had finished, one table was waiting for food so including us they had four (4) tables to wait on. Three tables arrived after us, including one just as we were leaving. If the efficiency in the kitchen was seriously affected that day, staff should have informed patrons ASAP.
We were finally served at 2.10. We got the bill at 2.30 and were so thankful to get out of there at around 2.40. Perhaps it was an off day for them, but it ended up being a disappointing experience for us.
I really, really wanted to love it... but was left wanting.
Waited a solid 15 mins for a first drink, but the check was delivered in under a minute. 10 diners, 6 service staff. Really didn’t stack up - will try again!
Ehhh. Wasnt what you would expect from a Michelin starred restaurant.
I made a reservation for 12:30 for Easter brunch while my parents visited NYC from California, and we weren't able to be seated until 1:30... No real explanation as to why they didn't have a table properly ready and continued to say it would only be 10-15 more minutes.
The menu, food, chef, and hostess were all so nice. But the level of misinformation and confusion we experienced at the restaurant were very disappointing.
Prior to making a reservation at D&H, I called the restaurant to find out if one of our group members did not want the tasting menu, would it be possible to order a la carte. The employee told me yes, that any of the tasting menu items could be ordered a la carte. I specifically told her that I didn't want to be at the tavern and that I was referring to the restaurant, and she confirmed that yes, it's possible to eat at the restaurant and not have it be the tasting menu... of course we were told otherwise once we arrived at the restaurant, and the manager who told us so was NOT nice about it. The hostess was at least nice and offered an apology for the "miscommunication"( which in fact was misinformation given by a fellow employee, not "miscommunication"), but at that point, even though we did not want to dine at the tavern OR be forced to all order the tasting menu, we had no option but to pick one of these undesirable options. And the restaurant manager not once came to even say one quick apologetic phrase to us, let alone offer a cup of coffee (or whatever!).
From there, more confusion ensued, causing a tense and unenjoyable dining experience, even though the food was quite delicious (hats off to the chef)... Thank goodness for good friends (and wine) to improve the situation!
Cute little brunch spot in Brooklyn. Loved the ambience of the place, however I wish there was more of a variety of dishes to choose from. Nonetheless, the food tasted great and service was amazing.
I really enjoyed my meal here. The only issue I had was that dessert took a while to arrive, but aside from that no complaints. I normally don't like pre fixe menus since I'm kind of picky, but everything was really good despite not being food i traditionally enjoy. Awesome for the price of $65. They also have a cheese selection but we were so full from the regular menu that we couldn't eve eat it (which means the plain pre fixe is a LOT of food).
Wanted to go to Delaware & Hudson for a while. Went to Brunch with my family, never again. The service was a joke. the food was fair and the value high for the whole experience. I've been tied to the restaurant business since 1978, very disapointing.

I am hard with the Stars , 4 except for value that is 5. Five is probably in my eyes only for the true exceptional
Great food, amazing service, casual atmosphere
its an experience, not bad, good memory but .... it did not start well when they offered to seat us in the canteen instead of the restaurant room despite a reservation.
We did not really find the Michelin star. The food is fine, the ambiance as well. The journey start with a soup carrot/ginger. too much water. Our vegetarian got a alternate appetizer instead of meat... 2 slice of pickle. whaou. ambiance is fine. Service... has areas of improvements: serving wine is a job. Welcoming guest also. Size of plates vary significantly from one guest to the next one. Fish is good.
Count about $100 per person, even in NYC we expect better. Was it an unfortunate bad night ?

We had a lovely time here. The food was wonderful, the staff attentive and they were very flexible accommodating the different food requirements some of our guests required. The variety of the appetizers to share really showed off the chef's talent. We had a great time sharing and talking about the different flavor combinations. Even though we arrived late, we never felt rushed, I only wish we had enough appetite left to try the cheese course. This was our second visit here and I am sure we will be back!
