About Delaney's Grill
Everybody has their own idea about what makes a perfect steak. Yes, it always starts with a great cut of 100% Black Angus beef from cattle raised on small farms and fed an all-vegetarian diet to promote superior marbling and outstanding flavor. But which cut is best, the degree to which a steak is cooked, and what best complements a steak"s flavor — well, that's all pretty personal. That's why we at Delaney's Grill take the time to talk to every diner. We show you the cuts we offer, talk to you about rubs that can improve their flavor, and offer recommendations on the best way to cook your steak. And when we deliver your meal, we don't leave the table until we know your steak is cooked to your definition of perfection. Add amazing appetizers, perfect sides and a family-style chop-chop salad and you'll understand why Delaney's Grill is the best for steak in the Valley. View the Delaney's Grill Menu.

Delaney's Grill Ratings and Reviews
Well, I went on Open Table to make a reservation for Monday Nov. 6th at 6:30 and it went through. We got there and saw a couple of management people there and they said they weren't open on Mondays. We told them we had gone on Open Table to make the reservation and they said they didn't use Open Table. No problem - we just went to Tramici's our favorite restaurant along with Halyards.
Food was exceptional, as always (although our last meal seemed a tad bit better). Service was good, but our server was very soft spoken, and it was louder than usual. In fairness, a gentleman at the next table was non-stop and LOUD. It was our anniversary and the ambiance is good. We both had steaks, NY Strip/Sirloin Tips, both with Boujolois sauce, gargonzola Mac and Cheese, and Butternut Squash. Saw the cake at the next table and WOW!!! Huge pieces and as tempting as it was, we were stuffed. Plan to spend about $100 for 2 to eat with 3 drinks before tip, but very much worth it....we will definitely go back.
Pleasant seat by the window. Very pleasant room, formal but relaxing. Preferred cocktail not available, the one I ordered instead was just all right. Love the warm popover! Very large portions of crab cake and mussel appetizers, probably enough for the full meal. Chop chop salad very good. Both ordered steaks, cooked properly, mushroom sauce maybe a little over thickened but plenty edible. Only disappointment was the side of truffle fries -- soggy and just warm. Could have sent them back but were so full from the appetizers we didn't bother. Server was pleasant and warm, though did give the table next door our entree order. No harm done. No room for dessert.
Normally this is a five-star place so it must've just been a bad night for either me or them. The waitress was exceptional but this time the food was mediocre. I have no problem spending $40 for steak but it's got to be good. And it usually is. But this time it was not. There are two rooms to eat in, and one is nicer than the other. We got the other room, which was then inhabited by a party of 10 that was well on their way to breaking a noise and drinking record. We shortened our visit as the ambiance quickly disappeared. Our doggy bag never showed up. I will definitely go back again because this is not the norm for this restaurant. I am hoping it was just a mediocre experience.
The server was so patient with my elderly parents with their special dietary restrictions and was very gracious accommodating their substitution requests. She brought them a piece of cake with two candles and sang to them at the end of their meal as they were celebrating their 66th wedding anniversary. My Apple Dip cocktail was unique and absolutely delicious. We were all pleased with the quality of our entrees and the presentation of the dishes.
I made a reservation for my husband's birthday, it was just the two of us, and we were staying next door. Barbara was our server and she was FANTASTIC! Great sense of humor and extremely attentive! Our food was delicious and the martinis were ice cold :) I am hoping to get back to the Delaney Grill for the brunch I've heard so much about.
the slowest pace on delivering of food I've ever seen.there were points where we were sitting at the table wondering when the next course was coming.the noise level from the bar was overwhelming and non-stop, there was no way to carry on a private chat without having to speak louder than normal.
The food was fine. The atmosphere was lovely. The service was exceptional (Lynn was our server). I was very disappointed in my ribeye steak. The steak tasted (and looked) as if it had not been seasoned at all. It was very tender, as a ribeye should be, but ultimately it lacked the flavor that I was expecting. We had eaten the night before at the other restaurant in the building and had the same problem with our burgers. Zero seasoning on the meat. The soup (butternut squash bisque), on the other hand, tasted more like nutmeg soup than butternut squash. It was more like a puree than a soup. Frankly, it was a gloppy mess. Our server that evening, Raleigh, was also exceptional. Still, both experiences were, ultimately, disappointing.
Nice ambiance and good lunch foods. Breakfast foods need improvement. Waffles, pancakes and French toast consistently cold and western eggs Benedict needs to be taken off the menu. Been there 3 times for brunch and those eggs were awful every time. Carving meats are best part of brunch selection. Dessert needs to be of better quality. Service leaves a lot to be desired.
My wife and I dined with another couple. Our food was slow arriving at the table, but not because of the waitress. My wife and I had good meals. Our friends steaks were way overcooked and they refused to eat them. The restaurant not only did not charge them, but the total bill for the 4 of us was $0, which I thought was very nice of the management. My wife and I will return. I noticed at a lot of other restaurants lately, you are better off ordering meat less well cooked than you are used too.
The service was excellent and the meals were superior. We has the 8oz. filet and the prime rib. Both were cooked exactly as ordered and both were excellent. We added sides of garlic mashed potatoes and after the salad, unfortunately, we had no room for dessert.Of course, we always have room for the great popovers they serve.
We had not been in awhile and decided to go for a birthday celebration. We went on a Saturday night when it was jam packed. Although we had made a reservation, we had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated. Staff was helpful and pleasant about this. We had asked to be seated in a quiet area and were put in the cozy library. But every time the door opened there were the jarring strains from some really awful band in the bar area. It appeared that they had their sound turned up for an outdoor venue despite being inside - because when we left we could hear their howls all the way out in the parking lot. It might be helpful to adjust this. Aside from the noise pollution, we really enjoyed the meal. Each of us had selections from the Delaney's Dilemma menu. This was bevy of great selections. It was indeed hard to choose. We had the scrod and then the salmon. The dilemma meals come with an appetizer, salad, popover, and dessert. Portions are generous. Our entrees were delicious and well prepared! Kudos as well to our waiter, Barbara, who could not have been nicer.
We had found a very old gift certificate which Delaney's had no problem honoring. The venue on a Sunday evening was uncrowded, clean, well-lit, with a low noise level that made conversation easy. The drinks were delicious. The courses arrived at nicely spaced intervals and complemented each other well. The food, including French onion soup, chop chop and chef's salads, sirloin tips and jumbo stuffed shrimp, were well-prepared with fresh ingredients and pleased our palates. We brought dessert home to share later and enjoyed it as much. Attentive, friendly and accommodating service.
