About Delaney's Grill
Everybody has their own idea about what makes a perfect steak. Yes, it always starts with a great cut of 100% Black Angus beef from cattle raised on small farms and fed an all-vegetarian diet to promote superior marbling and outstanding flavor. But which cut is best, the degree to which a steak is cooked, and what best complements a steak"s flavor — well, that's all pretty personal. That's why we at Delaney's Grill take the time to talk to every diner. We show you the cuts we offer, talk to you about rubs that can improve their flavor, and offer recommendations on the best way to cook your steak. And when we deliver your meal, we don't leave the table until we know your steak is cooked to your definition of perfection. Add amazing appetizers, perfect sides and a family-style chop-chop salad and you'll understand why Delaney's Grill is the best for steak in the Valley. View the Delaney's Grill Menu.

Delaney's Grill Ratings and Reviews
Made reservations through Open table and was not at all disappointed. Our wait was only a couple of minutes, the staff was very friendly, and the food was to die for. The handcrafted cocktails were absolutely delicious! Our steaks were cooked perfectly as were our asparagus fries and calamari. This restaurant made our night one to remember and may now be a Galentine's Day tradition for my best friend and I.
We've enjoyed Delaney's Sunday brunch a few times, and have always found both the food and service to be excellent. We do wish that they would label their desserts, however. It's often pretty difficult what might be lurking under the whipped cream and other toppings, and that could be important for people with certain food sensitivities.
Enjoyed the Sunday Brunch, food nice and fresh and a good variety. Staff was friendly and polite. Good brunch selection for all taste and the food is well prepared.
My one comment is that getting a coffee refill took a little effort, in the past at Delaney the wait staff would actively circulate to offer coffee or tea but in my recent visit not once did anyone come over to ask about beverages for myself or the rest of the party. It's a small matter but if one is paying $26 for brunch I expect staff to periodically check on if anyone needs coffee, tea or a drink.
It is unfortunate to have to write a bad review about Delaney Grill as Delaney’s has always been a go to for a great night out of great service and great food. This was absolutely not the case this visit. The service was good, the short ribs were pretty good and the desserts (banana Jamaican and bread pudding) were very good but that is where the good ends. The appetizers (calamari and shrimp bruschetta) were mediocre at the very best. The multiple sides (risotto, Mac and Cheese, veggies) were more than disappointing. The three steak dishes were all over $30 and were such poor cuts of meat that you could barely saw through them with a steak knife never mind chew them (and you could see the tendons running through one of them). The steaks were all cooked perfectly (Med Rare) as ordered however the quality was just NOT acceptable, for any steakhouse never mind Delaney Grill. This was not the most expensive meal but when the bill is well over $300 you hope you walk away satisfied not incredibly disappointed. Certainly not what you expect from the Delaney.
I have been here for Brunch and was impressed. This dinner date was far from impressive. We arrived for a reservation and still waited 20 minutes for a table. There were two bands playing at the same time in separate rooms making it very loud. The waiter was unprofessional for the quality I thought the restaurant was going to be. Unable to control, but the couple next to us got the wrong meal and when she tried to add things to it, it took a while to get the items.
The food was superb, had the short ribs which were so delicious and tender. They melted in your mouth with the red wine reduction gravy and carrots. Came with a chopped salad and a popover. More than enough food. Even brought home leftovers.
The service was excellent. She was attentive and friendly. The only downside was that the noise level is loud. There weren’t a lot of people there but there is nothing to absorb the sound so it’s hard to hear each other. Besides that, I would go back anytime.
I was unimpressed with the food at the delaney grill besides the shrimp bruschetta which was delicious. The chairs were uncomfortable and it felt about 100 degrees in there (I even heard one of the servers ask if they could put the air on). That being said the check in desk and waiter were fabulous and very friendly.
This is truly an excellent restaurant. We’ve been coming here for years and it’s always top-shelf food and service. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and we always sit in the library. It is definitely one of the top restaurants in the Springfield area. I highly recommend it.
I was disappointed to say the least. My roasted chicken portion consisted of 3 small pieces and the sauce was gritty. The request for extra crispy calamari did not come to fruition and it was extremely greasy as though it was taken out of the deep fryer and put on the plate without letting it drain. Overall poor meal that did not come close to the price. However, the service was great and besides the company I was with, it was the best part of the evening. I will not recommend this establishment to anyone.
The service was exceptional and the food was excellent. The atmosphere was perfect for a romantic date night. I loved that the appetizers and food were spaced out just enough and we did not feel rushed at all. Our waiter made sure we were well attended to throughout our entire meal.
I hadn't been to the Delaney House in some 15 years, but the ambiance, exceptional quality of the staff and food have not changed! I was happy to see a Daily Special Meal which helps people who may think that they are "priced out" of the menu items see that they can have a wonderful dining experience for a reasonable price point!
We brought my 90-year-old mother for a holiday get-together with family who would not be gathering with us on Christmas or Christmas Eve. We were 1/2 an hour late for our reservation due to Mom's not being ready when my brother arrived to pick her up. That turned out fine, though, and staff were very accommodating of Mom's requests for substitutions and personal, undressed portion of the family-style salad. The beef is exceptional, and you should order that if you like it. The bar is the noisy place. Mom had trouble hearing in the dining room, but that would happen anywhere. Fine dining is not that easy to come by in the area, and I recommend Delaney's for a special dinner out, though I don't know how it would be if you were seeking romance. I didn't see any charming nooks. The menu is somewhat large and a bit confusing, so you might want to study up on it in advance. We were in the hotel, and the relatives with us live close by, so the location was perfect for us. All in attendance were happy with their food. After starting this review, I read some of the bad reviews. Our food was definitely not bland, portions were generous, and we had no complaints about the service. Except for brunch reviews (I would never have high expectations of brunch), the bad reviews were written long ago. It worked for us for the occasion.
We went midweek on a Wednesday. Their special was prime rib and beer, all inclusive. It was great. Prime rib came out medium rare just as we ordered it. Delish!!! Hot popover, chopped salad, potato and veg. Had Banana Foster for dessert- fit for a king! Very good!
The price was $30 , but they took off $6 for the beer because we don’t drink. Ambiance was very nice. A definite winner!
When I made reservations I said our Anniversary, upon arrival it would have been nice for the host to say Happy Anniversary. They where nice and pleasant. I had to tell our waiter which was excellent. I did fine my NY steak really tough. I told my waiter, and he sent someone over and
they wanted to know what was the problem. I told her. She had me order something else and
took the first one off the bill and didn't charge for the second. That's what I call a very good classy restaurant. It was our 59th and hope to be back for our 60th or even sooner.
The worst part was I had a nice piece on filet all boxed up to take home. My wife said I left it there, I say she left it there.

Love the Delaney House, we’ve been there many times. This is our 6th year for Christmas Sunday brunch and we love the authentic Mr & Mrs Clause for the little ones. This year wasn’t as busy as inmpast years but the servers seemed less attentive for beverage requests. Food was very good as usual.
My husband and I went to the Delaney for the first time on Monday night. We were impressed with the ambiance, the food and our excellent server. Chop Chop salad is wonderful. We had lobster which was the special on Monday night ; it was very good. Garlic mashed potatoes were yummy. The beer selection on tap was pretty impressive. Our server was exceptional. We enjoyed the entire experience and will definitely be back .
I have always been a fan of the food at Delaney House, we were married there and frequently go for dinner and brunch. We even had the Thanksgiving to go, and it was wonderful. Today’s brunch visit was the opposite of what I’ve come to expect from them. This was advertised as “Brunch with Santa”, our reservation was at 11 and we never saw Santa. My 6 and 9 year old were very disappointed, and now I will be heading to the mall to let them see Santa. Our bill was $85, as we had two adults and 2 children and no alcohol. The food was extremely subpar. The new arrangement of food is confusing and created clusters of people. I am gluten free and loved how in the past everything was labeled, today the only sign I saw was on the maple syrup, so it was a guessing game. The food trays were slow to be refilled and the food was bland (eggs) or over seasoned (home fries). Silverware for scooping the food was dirty and haphazardly placed, which I know sounds picky but it has never been like that in the past. I hope today was an off day and not a trend, as $85 for a subpar Santa-less brunch is not something I will be rushing to do again.
This is a fabulous restaurant except for the fact that they apparently seat small children with those trying to have a romantic evening. I felt the sorriest for the table next to the child because that child was actually under their table. There should be a special place for those that bring a three-year-old that are not well behaved. I think it ruined it for all of us
