Great food and amazing staff. Our waitress was so friendly and nice
Very good food. quiet evening which was nice for a date night.
Best outside eating area during covid that I have gone to and the food was outstanding
Amazing food. Great with social distancing and cleaning. Service was outstanding. Can’t wait to eat here again!
We felt quite safe on the patio. Tables were far enough apart. The music was a bit loud and obnoxious. The service was good, and the food was good, except for the peach cobbler, which was too sweet and burned on one side.We got the twin filets and the chicken parmesan. The stacked chocolate cake was awesome!
We loved it and will return. excellent Covid distancing. Thank you
I had requested outdoor dining, but we were inside a walled tent...all four sides were either tent walls or wooden walls, and it seemed like the only air coming in was from the doorway where we entered from the outside. There WAS an "all open" dining area with umbrellas, but it was not being used at all. I questioned our server about it nd he said we were inside the tent because the outside was used only if it was not a slow night. Our indoor tent area was actually 90% full, so I didn't think it was a slow evening.
I purposely went to dinner at Delaney House because it was outdoor seating...and it actually wasn't outdoors.
Also, the outside stairs were very dark...not much lighting...going into the tented area.
However, we had a delicious meal, with terrific service and great prices, and I would like to return for another dinner but I was certainly not comfortable with outdoor dining being inside a 4 walled tent without outside ventilation, when true outside dining was available if they had chosen to use it.
The manager did a great job organizing the floral delivery for our dinning table. Bonnie our server did a fantastic job and acknowledged it was our 20th anniversary dinner as well. That was the front end, now to the back, food was fantastic, from the beer stew, NY sirlion with Shrimp, and I even had some tomato soup (i forgot the official name). This was our 2nd visit in 2 years. Definitely a place to save up for and enjoy a meal out for a special treat. Right of 91 easy on, easy off. Also you you stay at the Delaney house as well, walk right next door after dinner!! Cheers
Excellent meal with friendly professional staff. We sat outdoors which wasn’t as nice as I thought it would be. Next time I will sit inside. Besides that it was amazing
Outdoor Setting And grounds was beautiful.
Great service and great food!
The food was good but the service was weak. It took 25 minutes for us just to get a drink and several minutes just to get a hard copy menu (my 88 year-old parents don’t have a smart phone and a QR code reader).
We weren’t told about any dinner specials, the popovers were burnt and the 80’s disco music that was playing where they sat us was loud and didn’t fit for a nice dinner out.
The Delaney House is one of our local favorites, but they were a bit off tonight.
Sorry Mike, sounds like we did not meet expectations here and for that I do apologize. Please reach out to me to discuss further. We want to make it right! Thank you for your honest feedback Peter Rosskothen 413.532.1800 ext. 102
They sat us in the middle of the room it felt like everyone was staring while we were eating very uncomfortable. Had to leave to eat our food and enjoy it but by the tome we got next door to the hotel it was cold and not so good .
Hi Kim! The distancing of tables makes an awkward floorplan than what we are used to. Please let us know if you are uncomfortable in the future and we will always do our best to adjust and make accomodations. I am sorry you did not get to eat at the restaurant and was not what you were hoping for. If you would liek to discuss further off line please feel free to call me. Made an outdoor reservation to hear the Irish music on 9/17 - 6 mo to St. Pat's Day - got seated in a different outdoor area and never got to hear the music - very disappointed as it was the reason we went - food was great!
So sorry you were not seated where you were hoping. It is hard to tell sometimes where people want to sit. Some want quiet, some want music, we try to ask these questions when confirming but obviously missed this. If you let us know and we will try and adjust. If you ever want something specific like a certain table, room etc, please add it to your reservation notes. We try hard to give people what they want but sometimes we just don't know or are too full to accomodate everyone's requests.
We had a great time. They were really organized. We were seated right away. Food was delicious. Outdoor music by Tone Wolf was tremendous.
Excellent food and drinks, loved sitting on the outdoor patio too.
It was a special evening and we wanted to eat in the Grille. They seated us in the bar saying it was the same menu......certainly not the same ambience. Our waiter knew nothing about the beer they had or the wine. He brought our salad with the appetizers. He took he salads back. Our dinners came out before we got our salads. e had to ask for the wonderful popovers. There was a long wait for dessert. I really do not care if we ever go back.
Please call me to discuss! Not sure what happened here but am looking into it. Atmosphere is definitely different depending on where you sit but service should be the same regardless. We are happy to try and accomodate requests or move people if they are not happy with table whenever possible. We want the chance to redeem ourselves here so please reach out. We appreciate all feedback, good or bad. Peter Rosskothen 413.532.1800 ext.102
Heaters welcomed on this slightly cool night, sitting away from music speakers helped conversation. Waitress Bonnie exceptional, warm and attentive. Menu has wide variety.
Overall very good. Was a bit cool for outdoor dining.
Amazing food, great service and awesome atmosphere!
I originally had reserved a table outside, but because it became chilly I asked if we could switch to inside. They were very accommodating!
Our waiter, Phil, was great and the food was delicious. My wife especially loved the Gorgonzola steak.
We will definitely be back!
Everything was awesome. Never had a bad meal there. Will most definitely be back!!
Great location if you stay at hotel d.
Service excellent, food very good and not overpriced.
Spent a lovely Friday night with dear friends in a comfortable setting. The food was excellent snd the waitress was personable and efficient.
Wanted to eat in dining room. Should have been open on Friday night. Room dark Could not read menu or bill. Was our anniversary celebration. Had our wedding reception in dining room 21 years ago. Would never return there.
Another great meal as usual!!
It is a pleasant enough place, especially the outdoor seating. The waitstaff is conscientious. They utilize high quality food. But the overall experience is what I call banquet fare-plain Jane, no spices, seasoning or imagination, Caesar salad and desserts underwhelming. A fine Rack of Lamb died of boredom. don't order a glass of Merlot, unless you don"t like wine anyway At this price point, there are many better options.
great service, very safe in this pandemic climate, friendly
Great food, attentive service - my friend and I had a lovely time!
Our Food was great - but the service was not up to the same standard. After 45 minutes - I had to ask our waitress if she could bring bread to our table.
Our dinners were excellent and the atmosphere was very nice. The waitstaff were excellent as well. We were very happy with our experience.
Was not happy with the way my steak was cooked. was med rare not medium. tasted good but a little chewy. everything else was great, including the lobster crab cakes.
It was our first time dining with you. We enjoyed it immensely. Being able to dine outside and still have the ambience of a nice dining room was a pleasure. Will definitely return!
This was our first time doing indoor dining. We were excited to have a nice evening with good food/drinks. Our food was really good. However each of our cocktails were watered down. And what was more frustrating was that our server that evening was the worst. Was not attentive; we had to constantly call for him to our table for the simplest requests (extra napkins/more drinks, etc) he was MIA. And when he did come around he looked aggravated & was not friendly at all. Not sure if he was just having a bad day but either way you have to make the effort when working with the public. We made the best of our evening there. Will try again in the future.
Service and Food were delicious
All the food is excellent but I love the coconut crusted haddock with mango salsa and the lobster crab cakes were great.
Food as always was excellent. Haddock and Mediterranean scrod melt in your mouth. Sirloin was fabulous! Butternut squash risotto is out of this world! Ate outside in front. A little noisier than the tent, but decor is nice. Very efficient waiter.
It had been a while since I took the wife to dinner due to the pandemic. We are extremely happy we chose the Delaney House! It’s my wife’s favorite. As usual everything was top Knotch! They take safety protocols extremely seriously to keep both their guests and staff safe during this time. It was very clear they were extremely prepared and had undergone extensive training with the staff on these new protocols. The service & food were great and we were made to feel very comfortable & safe! I highly recommend The Delaney for anyone looking for a relaxing , safe delicious dinner!
The Delaney house was awesome. The food is always great. We had a Server named Chelsea who, was nothing short of phenomenal. The overall dining experience was great.
food and service was great. Stream lined menu is understandable, but no more table clothes is a odd omission since they are replaced after each party?
Hi Veronica! We decided to go no linen as long as possible as we felt it was the best way in current times even though yes they are replaced after each party. I am sure we will go back to them eventually!
The table was ok in the alley on the left of the restaurant. Fire pit was nice and we were there when they turned on the over head lights music playing nice night wife and daughters 21 & 19 I had the turducken sandwich I give it a 6 out of 10 the duck(had to fix what autocorrect just had haha)flavor I thought over powered the burger. My wife had the Ruben but it the meat had taste of cloves to it. One Daughter had the chicken pot pie and the crust covered the pot and looked delicious, you know, when the crust is just hanging over the side of the dish and you Love breaking it off! We ate some but be warned the chicken is cubed, a little disappointing but still good. My other Daughter had the chicken parm she thought it had to much sauce but I didn’t think did. Service was fine, I once gave serving a try and couldn’t hack it..I know you have to be able to multi-task. I had a gift certificate(yeah an actual paper certificate) wbtw had a exp date on it... come now Delaney House in Mass I thought we don’t have exp dates on gift certificates/cards. But the fam and I like the Delaney...it’s been around forever. Been there for Easter and other holidays and events we used to go to the Sunday brunch. But now I always make a big Sunday breakfast and then Home Depot, usual weekend haha I feel bad for the server who has the section where the cars pull up for valet. PU! No thank you, let eat my NY strip as I take in the exhaust fumes! Did I mention that as walked up to the restaurant after parking the car that’s where they had sat in the family, I’m like No can you please move our table to another section.
It looks like you enjoyed some things and others not so much... We do ask that cars pulling up for take-out turn off engines or park in a parking spot. Regarding the gift cert., purchased gift cards do not expire however "most" paper gift certificates are usually give away's or a donation, unless really old, so we can put expiration dates on them. I apologize you did not LOVE your food, if you would like to reach out to me to discuss happy to do so. Peter Rosskothen -Owner 4135321800 ext 102
