Delahunt – The Restaurant
Our aim is to provide the best seasonal, local produce in a relaxed and welcoming setting. Our menus are influenced by traditional and often overlooked cookery techniques, in keeping with the buildings Victorian origins. Home curing, slow cooked braises, pickles, preserves, traditional desserts and bread-making are some of our specialities. Championing small local producers is an essential part of our ethos
To add to Delahunt’s history we have built a cocktail bar on our first floor. The focal point is a striking bay window overlooking Camden Street, accompanied by vaulted ceilings, retro furniture and custom wooden paneling, original fireplaces, and a wide range of spirits and craft cocktails. The bar is walk in only.

Amazingly delicious modern Irish cuisine we are already looking forward to our next visit!
Super food and great service .. only negative feedback is that the bar upstairs is way overpriced ...
Loved the food, service and atmosphere.
The restaurant is very beautiful. The staff seemed disinterested and a little off hand. The food was nothing special, like I have had in the past.
Great food. Wonderful ambience. Great staff that made us feel very welcome. Excellent food and wine. Highly recommend it.
Fantastic food and service as usual. Beautiful menu. All very simple and elegant and Irish.
We love Delahunt.
Very good food. friendly staff .wine a bit expensive .
A wonderful restaurant. Small but beautifully thought out menu. Food looked and tasted sensational. Staff were helpful, engaging and confident.
Oh and those cocktails!!!
Owners, chefs and staff should be very proud of this place.
Night with friends.
All happy wirh their choices.
Hake was perfectly cooked! Salmon was nicely smoked. In my opnion bread was too sweet of taste, I would offer sour dough as well
Smaller menu than I had originally seen online when I had booked. This may be due to Christmas. Staff weren't overly friendly. Food was good. Wouldn't rush back.
Lively spot with great ambiance. Good tasty food but not a lot of choice. Especially enjoyed the celeriac soup.
Not a very user friendly booking system, complicated and time consuming.
The food is like poetry that is brought to life, thanks to a creative and passionate chef.
It’s always a pleasure to experience it again.
Lovely food lovely service ...just lovely!!!
Food is outstanding! Gorgeous setting, great staff and good wine list ... but the food just SINGS

Contemporary Irish Food,
Reasonably priced and great service!

Couldn’t fault it. Amazing service, food and atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Very enjoyable evening the food was very good well presented and delicious. Staff friendly but not intrusive. A bonus for us was the lovely sitting room upstairs where we had a pre dinner drink and returned after dinner for a nightcap!
Great food, atmosphere and service. I loved it. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Everything was excellent. Decor, service and especially the food. Definitely our best meal in Dublin!
We spent a very nice evening here with excellent food. As we were running late we called the restaurant and it was no problem, still got our table.
Really great dinner - excellent starters and mains. Sides only slight let down (just can’t make Brussels sprouts tasty To me) and desserts and coffees excellent.
Staff and value top notch plus great venue and buzz, truly loved our night out.
Great food, really friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Great night
Great food, excellent friendly service and good value
Excellent food overall. The strip loin was perfectly cooked and fairly well seasoned, but would benefit from a touch of Maldon or other flaked sea salt to finish. The pork loin was tender and cooked properly, but would have worked better with a brine or marinade and perhaps a crust or a sear vs. Sous vide or simply roasting. Great service, nice ambiance. Seating was somewhat tight with our group being next to a corner semi private room. Overall, I would be happy to go back as it is one of the best meals I’ve had in Dublin to date. Excellent Irish coffee as well!
I have been looking forward to visiting Delahunt for some time and it absolutely did not disappoint. The menu is exceptional value for the outstanding quality of the food. Each dish is clearly extremely carefully thought out and every flavour compliments the others. The quality of the food is some of the best available in Dublin. The setting is beautiful and authentic and the acoustics do not make it difficult to converse despite the busy nature of the restaurant which is always important. Staff are extremely friendly however the service slipped a small bit at the end of the evening when it took some time to receive and pay our bill. We had also hoped to order glasses of wine prior to the arrival of our main courses but were not attended to until after the food had arrived. This was only very minor and the wine, once ordered, arrived without delay. Not one of us could fault any aspect of our dishes - we cannot wait to return.
Outstanding from start to finish, flavours were amazing with every dish, well done
Our trip to the Delahunt Sitting Room was a very memorable evening for both the food and the atmosphere. Wait staff were attentive but not intrusive. The quirky interior of the restaurant was fabulous, lots of old wood and a lovely long bar. I had one of the signature cocktails which was just lovely. The food when it arrived was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. It's an evening both my husband and I will remember for a long time and hope we get to visit again when next visiting Dublin. I would highly recommend this "little gem" in the heart of Dublin.
Top quality food and service
My husband had his 40th birthday there and Delahunt couldn’t have been more accommodating, we arrived a little bit late but they were really cool. Great service, excellent set menu. Delicious food and wine menu. Definitely coming back!!
Fantastic food, excellent ingredients, innovatively prepared.
Never fails. Service v attentive. Hake cooked to perfection. Lovely ambience.
The food was of a very high quality, however, hungry folk beware. Certain portion sizes very small. My fish was adequate if a bit on the small side. However lovely piece of fish but only a tiny piece of Rosti potato with it and 3 sprigs of broccoli. So sides are extra & needed if you’re hungry. My dessert was 2 possibly 3 spoonfuls worth! Tasty but tiny. Nice touch is the complimentary water and we shared a very nice bottle of red. Service is good ..... not over friendly but also not intrusive. Atmosphere is lovely. Good place to go for a special meal.
The menu is small but has something for everyone. The food is creative, delicious and set menu is relatively good value. The selection of wines is also good and different from the norm. The ambiance is relatively casual but with excellent and friendly service.
High quality eating experience.. lovely food.. nice wine.. great value for the quality given... definitely recommend...
We were a party of 8 celebrating a significant birthday... the whole experience with Delahunt was wonderful... we had a drink in the Sitting Room upstairs, and then were seated in a separate area at the back of the restuarant... the food was wonderful, the service prompt and friendly and the whole ambience was just perfect. A big thank you to all the team in the kitchen an front of house.
Lovely spot, great menu, staff good fun and great atmosphere!! All round go hiontach!!!
Lovely meal as always, relaxed courteous service. Great after dinner cocktail upstairs. A little haven of Irish hospitality!
1. The food was very tasty and not expensive for the Irish standards.
2. The staff were super nice
3. The place is cosy but quite noisy
Conclusion: we did enjoy the dinner
