The food was nicely prepared and the service was personal and friendly. A good neighborhood vibe in a place that emphasizes repeat business.
We will return.
Nice small restaurant off the main roads.
What a lovely find! This is a simple restaurant with a casual beach feel, and the food is outstanding! The service was great, and even the chef came out to see how everything was.
We do not live in the area but it is definitely worth a drive!
Collett and Paul cooked and serve a marvelous dinner. The crab cakes are probably the best in South Florida . A recipe that a behind the scenes part time chef Carlos may have influenced. The rack of lamb in a demiglace sauce on risotto was delicious. A decent ordinary Montpulciano was a good pairing. Finish with a deconstructed key lime pie, when added to the catch up conversation with the staff, made the dinner! This is a neighborhood gem for fine dining fare and simple elegance. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and catering, Delacaseas Cafe is a Lauderdale By the Sea dining treasure. Located downtown & just north of Commercial Blvd, there is ample new public parking is next door. Treat your taste buds and visit them.
Ambiance and service are terrific. Food is great Colleen makes a great cobbler and Paul makes you feel at home. A must go to all in area
Absolutely great restaurant. I’ve been there for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is exceptional. My favorite restaurant in south Florida.
We have often dined at Delicaseas and we are never disappointed. Food is consistently delicious and service is very pleasant. Usually Paul takes care of us, but this time we had the pleasure of meeting Carlos as our server. He was efficient and very pleasant to. talk to and we had a wonderful and memorable evening.
Excellent in every way...service, food, presentation! Very personable dining experience. Highly recommend!
By far the best restaurant in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. Great food, fun atmosphere, nice people! I highly recommend it!
Enjoyed the food, service, and ambience. I recommend the restaurant highly.
Very nice Sunday brunch at DelacaSeas! Menu is not huge but is varied. Everything we had was quite good. They also had a brunch special, but we stayed with the lunch menu. Service was friendly, and good. We will be back soon.
We were sat near the kitchen were we heard the microwave door slam open and close the entire meal. They had no children's menu or changing table in restrooms to start. We ordered the Brussels caesar which had no flavor and was just weird served warm. I had Snapper, my husband Scallops and my daughter chicken marsala. All meals were flavorless and absolutely disgusting. My mash potatoes looked reheated several times my 2 year old spit them out. It's sad we wanted to try a new place close to home and were just so disappointed. Are server looked homeless and on drugs and the food was horrible we will never return!!
Consistently great food. My 'fussy' friend had the branzino, an evening speacial and loved it. She took home an order of crab cakes for the following day and was thrilled. They were loaded with crab meat and delicious. I had chicken marsala, a house favorite and favorite of mine. Parking is a pain right now, but there are plenty of places to park within a short walking distance.
The dinner menu was limited and the prices were high for the venue. The place is going for cutesy but the prices are too high for cutesy. The food was mediocre. My friend had to return her chicken dish as being inedible. Had looked forward to eating there but will not return.
I hosted a small dinner party for 10 and it was outstanding. I worked with Pauly to come up with a menu that would appeal to the group of foodies I would be dining with. We started with large, ice cold shrimp cocktail, a beautiful selection of gourmet cheeses and homemade bread, antipasto with imported meats, olives, peppers, etc. There was a table set up with a selection of red, white and blended wine. This was serve while we waited for all guests to arrive. Once seated we had a delicious meatball appetizer, followed by a porcini mushroom risotto and field of greens salad. Main course was sauteed red snapper and chicken masala served with garlic mashed potatoes and fresh vegetable. Strawberry shortcake birthday cake and my special request to Pauly 's was for his secret recipe blueberry scones (that were served hot.....i thought I was in heaven). Truly a great local restaurant that makes you feel like you might be sitting in a European cafe. Warm, comfortable, friendly staff make you feel at home. I have been for breakfast, lunch, dinner and the once a month wine dinner and have never been disappointed. A great local place with fresh, delicious food.
Best chicken marsala I've ever had! Be sure to save room for the homemade cobbler dessert, amazing! Small, quaint, intimate restaurant. Nice selection of wine by the glass $9. I would definitely recommend and we'll definitely be returning guests.
This was our third trip to Delacaseas and it was as good as the first time. The menu is small, but the presentation is very nice. They do offer several specials, but the prices on those can be relatively higher than the offerings on the regular menu. They have a small selection of wines, but they are fine and reasonably priced. We will definitely return.
Wow! This hidden gem is amazing. Food was absolutely delicious and Carlos and Colleen really treated us wonderfully. The snapper and mahi were cooked to perfection, and the chocolate mousse and whiskey cake were beyond heaven. Highly recommend!
Very quaint, low noise level, very good food, service needs improvement.
With Carlos' recipes and Paul's
attention to service we had the
I came for Sunday brunch with some friends for their birthday. I found this place on yelp and read reviews and all sounded great. Parking was a bit difficult. This was a Sunday around noon. I really liked the cute inside of the restaurant- it has a warm homey feeling. We were promptly greeted by our server. We all opted for the brunch plate. Two pieces of quiche , fresh fruit, French toast and bacon /sausage for $16 they have champagne as well. Breakfast or lunch menu was available and there were scones on the table. You can have seconds on any of the brunch items if you choose. Since it was my friends birthday they brought a warm apple dessert - I was hoping they would help with the singing but didn’t. I was pleased with the restaurant and would recommend for a nice afternoon lunch or Sunday brunch
EXCELLENT ET TRES BELLE PRESENTATION DANS LES ASSIETTES.
LA CREME BRULEE : DELICIEUSE .
MERCI A L'EQUIPE DELACASAES CAFE.
Very nice homey restaurant tucked in the west side of Commercial Blvd. The food and ambiance is excellent. Highly recommended.
Great food in a quiet sweet space. Nice attentive service.
Great food, awesome staff
A pleasant Sunday morning Buffett...delicious!
Really glad we picked this spot for Sunday late breakfast. Enjoyed the casual atmosphere, great omelets, and laughs with the fun staff ! Busy place but I recommend it highly.
Acceptable breakfast place, but nothing special. Service was mixed, tables close together. Pancakes were very good, but fruit cup was token. Would not go back.
Love this little gem of a restaurant! Happened upon it while looking for a lunch spot in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. The inside is decorated with mismatched tables & chairs brought together by quaint tablecloths with plenty of seaside wall decor. We were greeted immediately & seated in one of the 2 dining rooms. The service was top-notch & the food delicious! Can’t wait to return & try their Sunday brunch. Give it a taste & you’ll feel right at home!
They are known for their lobster bisque but I suspect it is surimi, not actually lobster. I have an issue with this as I have a good friend who can get anaphylaxis if he eats fish that swim, but can eat shellfish. Two of us had the half sandwich and soup and both had soggy bread from the soup spilling over onto the plate both were served on. Oh well. It’s a cute place and the people working there are nice.
We've been visiting fort lauderdale for many years and so we were surprised to find this gem. We went on a Friday night when bands were playing a couple of blocks away near the pier. The food was outstanding and the place very small and quaint. Our young french waiter even sang happy birthday to my wife in french. We'll be back!
This is a very cute place, small and very friendly. The food was very good. We will be going back soon .
Great restaurant, great food and great service. Highly recommend!
Excellent food. Outstanding service. Charming restaurant
Very nice location near beach and great service. This was my first time there i will defiinitely return.
Great restaurant! Really enjoyed the lamb! Wine was also very good.
My first time at this restaurant. Surprised to find a place so quiet in Lauderdale. Superb food and really
great personal service. I'll be back !!!
We love this intimate restaurant. Paul is very accommodating and the food is consistently excellent. The wine selection is also interesting. We feel like we are at a friend's house instead of a restaurant.
Food was good, but the place is strange. Feels like you are in grandmas house. Lace table cloths, no customers.
