Birthday very nice. This is one of the most expensive restaurants I have ever eaten in. Worth every penny if your a foodie.

The service was good, exactly what you expect in a Michelin star restaurant. However, the food was just plain bad. My branzino was dry and over cooked, the Arctic char was tasteless. Appetizers were very boring and uninspired. Pasta was okay but not worth coming. I refused the desert.
I tried a great number of Michelin restaurants in New York and world wide. I really don’t understand why this restaurant gets such a good rating on OT?!

Loved the customized dishes the chef created for us by way of the captain’s tasting menu option. The staff were knowledgeable, attentive, friendly, and warm. The food was amazing, well apportioned, and paired well to create big picture culinary excellence. We’ll be back!

Totally get the high $$ and always know it coming in. But it’s now at what is probably abusive. Paid an extra $40 over and above the pre fix price for 2 pieces of “ ravioli” which was basically a flat piece of pasta with a touch of truffle.
2 glasses of house wine and $600 for dinner for 2 ??

Really a restaurant for the experience not just the food, but that said the level of care and effort put into the preparation and device is amazing. Joe should be proud. Food, wine and service are as good as it gets.

Fabulous room but not worth the considerable price or the promise of its Michelin star-- a few noteworthy bites but otherwise not memorable and the service was always just a bit short. Many better restaurants in NYC. So disappointed.

Del Posto is a dining experience that tops all others. Its creative menu never disappoints and is a fine dining venue comparable to no other restaurant in NYC. Highly recommended for special occasions since it is so unique.

It was truly an extraordinary experience. The food is excellent, the service is on spot (yet never stuffy) and the space is beautiful.
We went for the 8 course menu, and it was an excellent choice; prepared for us vegetarians, each dish was heavenly: from the bread to the main, from cocktails to deserts... every bite is prepared to perfection.
If you are interested in decor, the cristal and china are beautiful and delicate. And the whole space is dark and inviting, with an “old time” feel.
I will be returning for sure every time I am in the city.

Simply amazing

Had the 5 course tasting menu which included several other tasty tidbits. My husband and I ordered different items and shared so we really had a ten course tasting menu! The food was Outstanding, the service excellent , the surroundings quietly elegant.One dish was better than the next. The presentation was Beautiful. It has been 2 years since we were there last. I had forgotten just how exceptional this restaurant is. We won’t wait so long again.

Total white glove service and all around excellence. The second someone brought me a tuffet, I knew I was in for an experience.

We tried the five course and it was perfect! I loved the lobster appetizer and both pastas, with their cannelloni being the standout. For a meat lover, I had to get the burnt end steak. It was literally the best steak I’ve had in my life. Both desserts were delicious; I really don’t think you can go wrong. I want to go back just to experience the same level of shock and excitement over how everything was perfect.
