My favorite spot in Wilmington.
Great modern food and good service!
Drinks was good price and test
The best Mexican food I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. The restaurant was amazing and our server was so kind! 1000/10 would recommend to anyone and everyone! Can’t wait to go back!
Nice evening on the waterfront. Food was yummy, cocktails outstanding. Nice night out with friends!
It was a very pleasant dining experience after enjoying a cruise on the Kalmar Nyckle. We have been experiencing slow service and slow food delivery recently while dining out but everything was very timely.
Sat at the bar and the bartender was friendly and let us try the different beers. She offered suggestions and was very knowledgeable about the menu. Try the carnitas fries. You won’t be disappointed!
Great Nachos , great frozen margaritas
Absolutely love Del Pez Mexican Restaurant. Delicious food and great service.
Fabulous! Our waitress was phenomenal, and the food was fantastic!
Our server was fantastic and made our visit so enjoyable!
Food was delicious! Drinks were awesome! Our service was great. Will be going back.
Hot and humid in the restaurant, smelly in the booth where we sat. Otherwise service was great and food tasted great.
This was a great place for a lunch while in the city. My children’s kids meals were huge. Their Mac and cheese was a boxed brand but that’s what they like. My shrimp spinach enchiladas were excellent. The hostess offered to refill my kids drinks to go which was nice.
Great food !
It was a nice evening. Not quite as good overall as pre pandemic but everyone was nice and they are clearly tying.
Always delicious food and our server was outstanding! He was so attentive to our table, and even surprised one of our guests with a birthday cake and sang with us.
Everything was good, not great. I’m pretty sure we found a hair in our order of guacamole. Our waitress told us it was just a fiber from the piece of banana leaf in the bowl, but I don’t think it was. She did bring us another bowl.
Wonderful food but we waited over an hour for our food at 4:30pm! We have a toddler so we all know how well waiting goes. They luckily got his food out fast but then he was done eating and ours still hadnt come. It’s a shame because the food is great but the service is sub par.
The food was not very good. And for the price, definitely not worth it. The drinks were on point so I foresee returning for a happy hour because that was the only items that were good. The prices for the food did not match its taste at all. Service was great otherwise
Food and service was great!
The food was decent, but our experience was negatively overshadowed by the service from the second we entered the door. We were greeted with an empty "hi" as we checked it. The hostess did not seem to have a clue to direct our next steps. The second hostess intervened and then seated us at a very small high top table where we could barely fit our water glasses, the candle, and the menu. It took 20 minutes for someone to greet our table and offer water. Then it took another 15 mins to return with the water. We ordered cocktails and it took another 25 mins to receive them. At that time we ordered an appetizer. Once the appetizer arrived, our entrees arrived 5 mins later. The table was so small, we could not even accept the food and had to return it. We reported all issues to two seperate managers. While the managers were nice and receptive, they did not offer to comp any items or even offer a dessert. The topper was that as we were leaving, our "waitress" was talking to the hostess and we received a passive aggressive "thanks for coming" and the hostess didn't speak at all. We won't be back. This service experience was absolutely absurd.
Went for a night with my fiancé. Food was good, large portions. The margaritas suck! I like tart margs and these ere very very sweet, even the classic. Waitress disappeared for a while also
Food was good, but not hot - service was super slow.
Were very happy with our experience at Del Pez. Great service and food. Not your typical Mexican. Something more. Looking for just plain tacos with beans and rice? Then go to Taco Bell.
Dinner with three of our teenagers. First time for them. Everyone enjoyed their meals and they dug way into the nachos.
Finally got down to Del Pez after knowing about it for some time. Really creative food...excellent service...and fun ambience...and fair prices.
Our first time and it was so good, fresh. Chicken tacos, shrimp tacos, chips and beer cheese, and margaritas. Yum! Can’t wait to go back.
The food was amazing we shared nachos which was a huge portion. They nachos were well covered in the works we couldn’t even finish them. I had the chimichurri salmon and skillet plantains it was so delicious. My friend had the chicken and shrimp delicious as well. The homemade corn cake was amazing. The prices were affordable and the food was definitely 5 stars.
Simply put - great food, great ambiance, okay service. The place is definitely short handed. Our waitress was nice but wasn’t overly concerned if we anything to drink or not. I ended up going to the bar and got my own drink. That said, still recommended! Food and ambiance were really fun!
Nice location on the waterfront. Service was a bit slow. Margarita was average. Have to pay for chips and salsa. Enchiladas and chimichanga were pretty good.
The food was wonderful! The guacamole was so good and the fajitas were yummy. I had the mushroom and my husband had the steak!!! I would go again!
Great brunch — creative choices that worked very well with the Mexican gastropub theme. The service was friendly and helpful, and the drinks were outstanding.
Great food, the best guacamole ever waiter was awesome ambiance was great!!!
Loved the menu; we ordered a variety and each dish was delicious. The Taco Pub Sampler got rave reviews. Cancun Shrimp was the favorite. it was just the right amount of spice.
We at outside; it was a nice night. Lots of people out and about.
Burrito contained things not on the menu and did not include things that were in the description on the menu.
Staff was doing their best. However, they needed more help. They are having a hard time getting people who want to work. I still enjoy the food so the wait was worth it.
I do not have the words for how terrible my experience was at Del Pez. I ended up calling the restaurant on the phone to ask where my food was, as my table was waiting 1.5 hours for our entrees and drink. I don’t believe a restaurant could be that busy - at some point as the night goes on, you should be catching up on orders. Maybe having your hostesses help with initial drink and appetizer orders could help. Worst of all, I asked for the food to go because we really had enough. When I got home my meal wasn’t even in the bag! Worst experience in this area.
