Nice idea but food was over priced and mediocre. Place was empty when we went and fire pits were not on.

The atmosphere is great, with live music, a large open space, and kids/dog-friendly games and lawns. But the service is minimal, the waitress is not very welcoming and the food options are limited.

Absolutely stunning outdoor venue, with live music, beautiful lights once sun set, and s'mores to roast in our own personal fire pit! The cabanas are a nice, relaxing way to have a semi-large group of people gather and chat in a cozy private space-- they even brought out blankets for us and turned on the heat lamps once the temperature got a little chilly. Great service and decent food options, just wish the cocktails weren't so expensive.

Not worth the money. I’d rather go to Rancho Valencia for the same price but better atmosphere and grass and larger food selection with more execution and bigger drink menu. :/

Perfect get together spot for friends and family. Love that it is kid friendly and there is ton of room to run around. Loved the outdoor games and live Music! Ambience is great. Food and cocktails are wayyy overpriced but it’s worth it to have a free cabana, fire pit, and live entertainment. The pizza is absolutely phenomenal. We will definitely be coming back again and again!

Overpriced food and drinks. Ordered a $24 cheeseburger that comes with a bag of chips. For such a nice hotel and their prices, you would think you could get your condiments added to the burger instead of being given ketchup and mustard packets. Even a soda was $5 and you didn't get refills. They kick you out after 2 hours unless you want to spend another $250. If they want you to spend that much they should have better menu options and better food! The drinks were good but pricey. Some of the staff was very nice but some were also snobby. Didn't get a good vibe from this place which is too bad because I was very excited about it. For such a "grand" hotel, this part of it was not great. Don't waste your money or time!

This is a great concept, but needs a little more fine tuning. Our waiter seemed pretty pre occupied with other groups and forgot or messed up our order quit a bit. My 10 year old was with us and enjoyed running around on the grass with the other kids. What was weird and almost appalling was that they sprayed the grass with some type of dye to make it look more green. All of the kids running around barefoot or playing on the grass had hands and feet dyed a blue/green color. Doesn't seem very healthy or sanitary to me?

The new Del Mar Social Club is nothing like the former Fireside Grill. It was beyond disappointing. $12 for frozen corn? Out of all mixed drinks? Chips in a bag like at Subway? Severs literally breaking tree branches off to use for smores and pouring extra drinks into the ground right next to us? Come on. You can do better. We were so disappointed.

Ordered a drink and a pizza before deciding to leave. We were seated at a fire pit closest to the lawn games which we were excited to play. While waiting for our food and drinks to arrive we decided to go play ladderball but all the balls were tangled and we spent a few minutes untangling them. Played for a bit and then went back to our table/pit when food came. As soon as we walked away a group of maybe 6 kids (ages 2-8?) started “playing” with the ladderball by climbing on the frame and throwing the balls up and trying to get them tangled on the string lights. Another set of kids were throwing beanbags at each other. There was a live music which we couldn’t enjoy because of the screaming kids. Moving to another firepit was not an option as they were all taken. We left as soon as we could. We spoke with the social club employees though their response was that there was nothing they could do. Avoid this place if you’re looking for a a night away from kids. With a menu that caters to adults (drinks and apps), I expect to be surrounded by adults and not have to feel like I’m at a McDonalds play place. I have kids and would never allow them or behave in that manner. I also wanted a night away from my kids which is why I made sure to get a sitter. I won’t be going back. Pizza was delicious though. Has potential to be a great place but not if they continue to allow parents to leave their kids to run around like wild animals

One of those situations in which you really want it to be great, and it comes close, but it misses the mark. Limited food options really is the issue. More variety and more entrees are needed.

This setting is in an open field across from the main entrance to the hotel. It is a flat visually unattractive location that they have put temporary facilities into. e.g. movable tables, chairs etc. Every day they set up this area, every evening they break-it down. It is a grass area with almost all grass dead. It is much less appealing than when this was inside the hotel and below the Amaya restaurant. Bar and food are very limited. Service was good. I would not eat here again. I would eat in the patio area of Amaya. Pass on this location.

Birthday date night and the property/ service were both incredible! We really enjoyed having our own fire pit and doing the s’mores was super fun. Enjoyed the live music too! It is a family friendly property so of course just be aware that there are lots of families with young kids enjoying the space and having fun. Will definitely be back soon!

Reserved a Fire Pit which has a two hour limit for use. Prior guests didn’t comply so my pit wasn’t available. They sat us elsewhere and then moved us. The Hostess did a great job with service recovery. Ordered one round of drinks and snacks then our wAiter must have gone home. Finally after 30 minutes of empty glasses and plates, I got up to find any employability could help fill more food and drinks for the table. Great food, great music, bad service. The person who finally came to fill in for our disappearing waiter was extremely nice and did a great job.

One of the worst experiences I have had.
We had a reservation for 830 PM. Showed up on time but there were no tables/chairs available. We were told it would be about half an hour before a table would be available so we could sit at the Amaya (restaurant right next to Fireside Lounge) and start drinks/food until our table became available. Sat at the restaurant next to Fireside Lounge (Amaya) and ordered food and drinks and around 910 a table at Fireside Lounge became available. By this time we had not been served our drink or food. We moved to Fireside Lounge at 910. Our first server shows up a few minutes later upset that we had moved. I told him that our reservation was for Fireside and we had been told we could move once the table we have made reservations for became available. He left upset. Our new server shows up and she is confused. Finally at around 920 (50 minutes after checking in) we finally get our drinks. We got our food served at 1010, more than 1.5 hours after checking in and ordering the food. The food was medium at best and almost cold. As for the Lounge itself, its really a gathering spot for hotel guests with kids and not really a lounge. From the picture on the website and description, we expected a place for mostly couples to enjoy drinks/food and listen to music. Instead it is a place with families around fire pits and kids dancing around. Not a bad place if you want to go as a family but definitely not for couples. At the same time, a menu of appetizers and drinks doesn't go with the kids centered theme. As I said I think its more for hotel guests with kids to hang around. Bottom line I would not recommend this place for couples and the food and service was definitely not what you would expect at a supposed 5 star resort (although they charge 5 star resort prices). And finally I think being only brown customers didn't help. All of the above starts with poor management. Would definitely not be going back.
