Del Mar made our night. It was our anniversary. There was a cute little card at our table which was such a nice little touch. It’s truly the little things. Our food was spectacular. My husband had the chicken sandwich and the best fries and I had the chicken dish. We also started with potato bread and ended with the chocolate dessert. Thank you, Del Mar!

Very disappointing. I made the reservation a month ahead of time for 8 of us. I asked for a quiet as possible place in the restaurant so we could talk. I now realize there may not be such a thing in this restaurant but right in the middle right up front where you have all the bar noise and all the street noise from High Street certainly wasn't it. I have mentioned this in at least one previous review of a Cam Mitchell restaurant, but it should never take 25 minutes just to get an initial drink. We ordered drinks and before they came the waiter had come back with water and then returned again to get our orders. Still no drinks. I would have probably had one more drink for the evening but there was no way it could have come in the hour and 15 minutes we were there. I have suggested in another review that if the bar is going to be that busy (this is a good thing I want them to make money) then the waiters and waitresses should have a separate bar area. Cam Mitchell and team and very savvy and know the market - I can't believe they are not aware of this - can only imagine they can't get help or they are hyper focused on food versus cocktails. As for the food I had Swordfish. We excellently cooked, so often its overdone. The issue is it had no flavor - zero. No salt of pepper on the table either. Would have thought a little sea salt maybe some citrus pepper would have made a big difference. We spent $125 as a couple, and I am sure all 4 tickets must have been similar - all would have been at least $30 more if we had been able to get drinks timely. It was our first and last time at Del Mar - could be I am just getting a bit too old for the hip crowd that wants a loud and energetic atmosphere.

Service was great. Our waiter was wonderful. Otherwise, we will not be recommending Del Mar. We got 2 starters: Brussels Sprouts which was delicious. Potato Bread which was very tough and hard to eat in some places but otherwise was good. Our mains: Chicken w/ veggies was half good and half miserable. The veggies were cooked well and had a good flavor profile but the chicken was nearly inedible. It was dry to the point of powdery. The Fisherman's stew was a big let-down. All the included proteins were disappointing. Either they were over-cooked or unflavorful. The ambience was great. The setting is very stylish and the service was top-notch but as far as food goes we will not be returning.

Celebrated my daughter’s birthday and everything was lovely. The staff was attentive and even left a nice card on the table for my daughter when she sat down. Ambiance was lovely and the food was really good.

The food and atmosphere are beyond. Like a usual Cameron Mitchell restaurant, it is noisy, but if you go early, you can hear the person across the table from you:) Seafood was exquisite. Being from the East Coast, I wasn’t used to paying $5 an oyster…usually you get 3-6 for that. But overall, I would definitely visit again.

Our server Mia was awesome. She really made the experience. Cameron Mitchell’s has a general high standard when it comes to food and it met our expectations but man, our server was great. She kept checking in with us and really personalized her interactions with our table. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

My first experience here was awesome. So decided to bring my sister for her birthday and the service was horrible. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant and we waited multiple times for drinks, food took FOREVER to come out. Waiter was forgetful etc etc etc. Very disappointing second visit.

We have now given up on CM restaurants. Some how they are capable of creating amazing spaces and what seem like great menu's but the execution of the food and the service fail. Not to mention they're pricey when you add up the cost of the over cooked and under seasoned food and poor service.

Lovely venue but service struggled on a busy night with a concert in town. First round of drinks for 2 people took over 25 minutes to arrive and another 15+ minutes for 2nd round. Food was fantastic per usual. Based on the price you pay per drink the service should be more efficient.

Excellent food!!! We had sushi, ceviche & potato bread appetizers! All amazing but the ceviche was my favorite. Between all of us we had pastas, steak, and salmon. Each meal was enjoyed by each person. Fun & tasty drinks. Great service. Main area of the restaurant can be a little loud but we had a booth towards the back & it was perfect! Can’t wait to go back!

If you eat here you must try their Potato Bread and also their Olive Oil Cake! A great value especially during Restaurant Week and I recommend making a reservation. Watch out on the wine pricing, one glass of Riesling cost me $25. Otherwise, the food and service were exceptional.

Loved the well thought out menu for Restaurant Week. All the food was delicious, and our server was perfect. They also accommodated with mocktails when we said we didn't consume alcohol. It was our first experience, and we'll definitely visit again.

Came here on restaurant week, 3 courses for $45 is an amazing deal. Shrimp bisque, 8oz filet (normally $55 by itself) and olive oil cake. All 3 were normal size dishes, sometimes restaurant week will give a deal but smaller portions. Filet was super tender and flavorful. Did oysters to start and will say those were a let down but other than that fantastic meal and service.
