We shared a number of dishes, and everything was delicious, the Lemon Chicken and Walnut Shrimp are incredible, I highly recommend both! Can't wait to go back and try some of the other dishes!

After a few courses I was looking for the manager....to go into business with them in Tucson. We don't have anything like this. Gourmet Chinese food. Not like Tommy Toys (fake gourmet for tourists). This is the real deal. And yes the wine prices (Champagne) are very reasonable. Food was delicious. A bit hectic during the holidays but still everything came hot. Wow it was good!

Everything was under-seasoned. Potstickers were completely bland— needed to use a lot of the in-house sauce to give them any flavor. Beer list needs work. Very pricey for what it is. If you want good Chinese food, look elsewhere. If you want a suitable evening dinner location that tips it hat towards Asian, this place would do— just be ready to season everything yourself!

Excellent and friendly service. Very good food (the green beans, eggplant and governor’s chicken were particularly good. The scallion pancakes were quite good, but the order was small for the price. All in all, a bargain for Del Mar. better than when we were there 2 years ago.

I like the restaurant but am concerned because quality of chicken has gone downhill. My dish had strips of breast meat-about half were fine but others were too chewy-unlike the quality previously. Sure hope the food has not declined since the sale.

My family loves this place. It has an extensive menu, good service, and good prices on wine bottles. More importantly, the food is delicious.

some dishes great others only average.
Walnut shrimp excellent. Duck wraps lacked flavor and would not order it again.
Staff called to describe our proposed seating arrangement which was very appreciated.

I came here for a date with my girlfriend who is a vegetarian and it was fantastic! There is a separate menu section with vegetarian options and the vegetarian miso soup was delicious for both of us. Definitely a must try. I'll be back for more date nights because she loved it too!

The atmosphere was low key, had a table outside right next to a heater, so I was comfortable the entire evening. The food was amazing! The best chinese cuisine I have EVER had. Presentation was beautiful and the food was DELICIOUS. I would DEFINITELY recommend this restaurant!!

The service is excellent and the food is very tasty.

The primary issue I had is with the portion size. I ordered a special Kung Pao shrimp dish during lunch and it came with very little shrimp and lots of rice.

I don't feel this is acceptable for a fairly costly restaurant.

Great restaurant, the food is so delicious. Their vegetarian mock-meat is pretty tasty too. They have a good amount of food for vegetarians. It's a little bit pricey, but worth it.

I enjoyed the San Diego Restaurant Week specials. Throughout dinner, we were astonished about how the food was prepared...how did they make the Firecracker Calamari so light and crispy in a sweet chili drizzle that tasted like a candy treat, the Five-spice Braised Beef with a deep brown sauce of subtle flavors of Chinese herbs, cinnamon, and star anise that made white rice a perfect palette, Beef that yields to chopsticks with a special tenderness of 4 hours in the pot. I topped it off with a cake that had multiple layers of chocolate flavors and textures. My wife's meal started with Ahi that had a delicate toasted crunchy sesame crust on a perfect sear. Her Kung Pao was different that usual because of the tenderest pieces of Filet Mignon that balanced well with a scallions and peanuts. And the finishing course of Carrot Cake was light, fluffy and not too sweet, which emphasized our impression of dinner that had the most subtle flavors mixed with equally awesome preparation of familiar Chinese dishes.
