4 shrimp and 2 scallops in fisherman's stew. Maybe cost of saffron in broth warranted $36 price. The bun on my husband's fish sandwich was burned and his fries looked like they had been under a heat lamp. We didn't complain because we were grateful for a night out. I'll stick to Ocean Club for seafood.
We recommend the potato bread to everyone as one of the best things I have ever eaten. Staff was polite and attentive . Dessert was the only thing I will skip next time when dinning with Del Mar.
We ordered a variety of the menu for my daughters birthday. It was amazing and no left overs🎂🥂🥰

We have had such a great time at Del Mar. It was our first time there (though we are familiar with Cameron Mitchell’s restaurants because we only dine in them). The food (fisherman’s strew and fried oysters) and drinks (Euro Trip especially) were superb and the service wonderful. Taylor, our server, was kind, knowledgable and fun. We will be back in a heart bit. Thanks for being such great hosts.
Great service and food. Was not impressed with the noise level and rowdiness of other diners. But that is not at the fault of Del Mar. Waitress was very personable and helpful with food and drink choices. Food tasted great! Would definitely fine again.

Brunch was so good! I was hesitant about eating brunch at a place centered around seafood, but it was truly very good and I was happy that they had their signature cocktails available instead of just the brunch cocktails because I love the tropicalia! Prices were also very fair for the food. The server was also very friendly and attentive, I think his name was Mitch. Would definitely go back!

This was our first time to Del Mar and we doubt we will go back—perhaps to sit at the bar for a drink.
Had a 7pm reservation and got seated right away. Server was attentive at first, but then as the night progressed, became more and more sparse.
We were consistently without a drink the majority of the night which was disappointing.
Ordered oysters as an appetizer and those arrived quickly. Was also treated to the guacamole, which our server “gave” to us at her offering— I’ve never had a server just offer up a free appetizer but we took her up on it/ it was very good.
My husband ordered the restaurant week menu, which came with a wine pairing for each course—of which he had to remind the server a couple different times during our visit. I ordered the salmon.
Eventually, the food arrived and my salmon was cooked appropriately and tasted good. My husbands dish, the red meat entree for the restaurant week menu, was cold and over cooked. When we communicated this to our server, she immediately offered to make him a new one.
While she took his plate, my salmon sat and waited for his entree to be corrected—and waited, and waited, and waited. Approximately 20 minutes went by and my husband still didn’t have his main course back and mine sat and got cold, as I was not going to eat without him.
When they finally got his main course back to the table, my salmon was cold enough That I wasn’t willing to eat it. His steak was still not cooked according to how he asked for it to be done.
At this point, I asked to speak to a manager (Hannah) who was empathetic to our experience and apologized for the situation. She did offer to have a new salmon dish prepared, but at this point I had had enough of the lack of service (still waiting on more wine).
It was extremely frustrating and disappointing that my husband and I did not get to eat together. Manager said she would comp our bill but didn’t comp everything. Not a great experience and doubt we will go back.
The hostess and waitress knew we were celebrating a special occasion and were so kind, making us feel like VIP’s!
