Del Frisco's Grille - Santa Monica
Joseph our waiter was attentive, made great recommendations, food was delicious! The manager came by to check on us. It was a great dining experience. We will definitely go back.
The only complaint we had was our waitress had a bad attitude. Everything else was good.
Terrible service, save your time and money and go elsewhere. The restaurant was half empty but we waited 45-50 minutes for our entrees (two salads and a steak). The wait staff couldn't explain the reason for the delay or how long it would take to fix. The manager comped the appetizer and offered to send the food with us if we continued to wait, but couldn't provide a concrete timeline, so we left.
Location is great. Service was a bit off but it was Mother’s Day so expected. Food was really good. Nice choice of different Benedict options.
Great brunch on Mother’s Day. It was a very busy day and they handled it well!
Excellent food and service. John B was an excellent waiter. We will definitely be coming back!
I've been to Del Frisco's in different cities in the past and this was my least enjoyable dinner. Our server was a nicer older Gentleman and we had a nice table on the patio, however 1) we received the wrong appetizer and ended up cancelling it since our main dishes had already been ordered. 2) When we received our main dishes my steak was cooked medium - medium well when I had asked for rare and 3) we only received one of the sides we had ordered and the other came 15 minutes later. The steak was sent back and they re-cooked it to my liking but never re-fired our side dish that we had received on time and then the 2nd side dish came even after I received my steak and it was cold. The only compensation we received for all these errors was a free bottle of sparkling water because the waiter claimed that it would be a pain to have to get a manager involved.
I have been a client of the restaurants for some years now, either at the Denver, Houston, San Diego and other locations. Food is always great. Service is always top notch. This time, the service, for whichever reason was off, however, the Manager Corina A. made all efforts to make sure we left with a different perspective due to the faulty service.
The food was awesome and Pat's suggestions were incredible! The mushroom flatbread is a must have
Had lunch here with a date. Convenient parking either valet or structure at $12-15. Place is nice but feels cold, so I decided to eat outside on patio, which was much better. My date ordered the salmon which was fine, not exciting. I ordered the soup and sandwich. The corn soup is excellent even though I sent it back because it was cold. But hot, it was great. The sandwich was thin sliced prime rib which I could not eat as a sandwich. I had to take it out of the bread and cut bite size pieces with my knife. Service was very good and a manager came by to check that everything was ok. I told her the problem and it was taken off the check. There are a lot of other places to try
We sat outside, directly across from Santa Monica pier, with full view of the colors of the sunset and all the activity at the park and pier entrance providing a theatrical experience. The food was excellent. I loved the steak salad and the corn chowder was creamy, warm, and very satisfying. I also tried the truffle oil macaroni and cheese, which was very cheesy in a good way, and also had a good but not overwhelming earthly truffle backdrop. I finished with a Nutella bread pudding dessert, which was really something quite unique and totally delicious.
More expansive than expected.
Stopped by for a drink and a light bite. Ordered the fish tacos... superb! Second time I’ve been there and went back for the tacos.
Sat at the bar and there were children there with parents who let them run wild... that really spoiled my time.
It was our 17 year wedding anniversary and the people at the restaurant made it very special for us!
Everyone acknowledged and congrats on our special day and they brought us complimentary cake and a card whole staff signed :)
We will definitely visit again
Very friendly staff and excellent food quality. Right across the street from the Santa Monica pier so you can walk off all the calories.
Usually love the place!! Fries were over cooked and sent back multiple times. Booked reservation for my 50th birthday but server wasn’t informed so no one mentioned it. Server was nice and professional but kitchen wasn’t following her instruction.
We were seated on the patio and it was both crowded and cold.
After being a bit disappointed at the Del Frisco's in Pasadena we were hesitant about trying your Santa Monica location, however, we are so glad we did. Beautiful location and beautiful servers and staff made our Easter Sunday perfect. Patrick our server and who I assume was the manager on duty and young woman were so gracious. Thank you
Always good food and a great experience.
Terrible new waiter. We didn’t find out he was new until the meal was over. He was slow, forgot and mixed up numerous orders, charged us for things we didn’t get. Finally when he left to go on break and we complained to a nice waitress, the manager came overto apologize.
Too crowded, you can't even walk comfortably between tables
Everyone working there is extremely sweet. Outside views were beautiful regardless of how crowded it was outside. Seated within seconds. Food was phenomenal. Definitely a place to come to
The food was absolutely amazing and our service was fantastic! I highly recommend the cheesesteak eggroll appetizer and the Short Rib Strogonoff!
Carry the Manager is the best!! Very professional and one of the greatest people I have met!! Travel for work and she always make me feel welcomed!
This is a tourist trap. Something was clearly wrong in the kitchen the night we went. Service was really slow. The server was very apologetic, and kept offering excuses, but almost an hour went by before we saw any food. The appetizers came after the meal. Nothing was comped. For the price, the food was very ordinary. Lots of people were walking out and angry. We saw in the kitchen and it was a disaster. The manager came by and did not offer any apologies or comps.
My boyfriend proposed here and it was awesome!!!
The brick chicken in the wild mushroom flatbread were almost inedible. The service was glacial and way too disorganized. The manager tried to assuage us with some kind of fried crab balls. If you can’t offer a good service with the restaurant 1/3 full what hope do you have? I wish this restaurant all the best.
Very good. Food was great and the service was better.
Super friendly wait staff. Attentive service. Food was excellent.
Great room. Spacious. Food choices for everyone. Hand shaved prime steak was awesome. Fish and chips were really good. Best crab cake, really crabby and not bready. Prices not cheap but you could eat in the 16-28 dollar range or go crazy with more expensive. Wines by the glass were priced a bit high though.
First time i came here i had the ribeye steak and it was the best steak i had! Second time i went i had the surf and turf which was there special. $67 for the meal so automatically i though, its gona be a huge plate of food. Waited around 45 mins, starving, plate of food came and it was so small i was still starving after. So word of advice. Stick to the foods you know and ask about portion sizes. Staff are nice but always expect and sometimes ask for a big tip which is weird as well
Asked and confirmed outdoor seating, yet was seated inside. Our server was great, food was OK and a bit pricey, albeit expected considering the location.
I love going to Del Frisco's and it is one of my favorite restaurants in Santa Monica. The service this time around was really bad for a typical Sunday and we waited a while to get our drinks and order in. Nonetheless, the food is always great and love the ambiance.
The filet mignon came as one chunk of meat on a plate. Juice or gravy would have been nice.
Food was expensive, but good. I’m not sure why it was $$, instead of $$$. The service was not good. The waitress did not check on us much, and it took a while for them to clear our table. We told them twice it was my birthday, but they forgot. The manager did give us a couple extra wines on the house, and a dessert, so that was a good gesture, but I’ve been to Del Frisco in NYC numerous times, and the service was outstanding compared to this location. Not sure what the issue was.
had a great time. always do. looking forward to trying the newest one at weatfield century city mall.
Mistakes were made regarding our orders. Drinks weren’t well made. Food was ok service was decent. Not sure if I’d go back.
Parking and traffic are horrible at this location.
View small details prevented all 5s....my husband is big and tall; original table was not it at all and service was a little slow. We enjoyed and definitely going back. Great location 😊
Love this place great food
Experience was great. Eric our server was amazing ! Met Carrie the general manager she was a sweet heart. Food was on point ! Shoutout to chef Aaron .
