It was so amazing!!! The food was great, the service was off the chain! && the atmosphere was superb!
I really enjoyed everything, food was great, service was great, it was right across the street from the pier and the price was moderate for a great date night
Great waiters just forgot to ask me how I wanted my steak so it wasn’t the one I wanted. Still great. Great food a little pricey but to be expected for a restaurant by the pier
Server not around
We came here for Mother’s Day and sat outside. If you sit outside on a hot day you will be boiling in the sun. The sever wasn’t very friendly. Totally forgot one of our meals and did not apologize just said he’d take it off the bill. Further we never got refills on our drinks (water). Luckily we got an extra glass of water for our son which he didn’t drink so we poured that in our glasses to share. Overall disappointing experience. Food was okay just didn’t get the dish I really wanted. Likely won’t return.
Thank you. It was all good!!
The food was not good. The ahi tacos had no flavor and I ordered the filet salad medium well and it was well done. I couldn't cut into the steak. My son had hair in his food which freaked him out. They brought him out new food which we had to take to-go. When I spend a certain amount of money on food I expect the entire experience to be great. This was only my second time at one of their restaurants and both times I was not impressed. Disappointed actually.
The place was great inside. The hosts were super nice. The food was 50/50.
Eggs Benedict should come with a poached egg and not a boiled egg. Steak was good but dry. Combine these two thing for their filet benedict and voila...dry food.
Cinnamon bun was good..
Other than that...
food was ok.. not super, not terrible.
Del Frisco’s is consistent with their food and service, good food and good service. Business casual atmosphere and easy to get in and out unlike most restaurants in Santa Monica which can be a chore. Much easier to book a reservation unless you want to sit at the bar.
Went for Mother's Day brunch and the food was nothing special and service was very poor. Drinks were good! Very expensive, mediocre experience.
We waited 1.5 hours and were not served any food. The general manager said “it looks like your order was only put in an hour ago and our kitchen is really backed up.” He was rude, unapologetic and offered no help. We finally walked out without being served anything other than water. Terrible experience. Will never done there again.
Service was okay but could of been better, perhaps our server was new.
Food: crab cake was awesome and devil eggs were tasty. Main courses left us desiring more for the prices they are charging customers. Chefs special, fish was dried, bland mash. Only thing cooked right were the steam asparagus. Surf n turf type of special had short comings too, steak not at the temperature requested, tiny lobster tails were cute too look at but they were tiny and not fulfilling.
Drinks: took over 20 minutes to get a drink, a non alcoholic drink. Made another order and waiter forgot so had to wait another 15 minutes to get champagne glass—apps came first than my drink I believe.
Perhaps is the location, it being Mother’s Day holiday weekend but I won’t be returning or recommending this place.
We went here to celebrate Mother’s Day a day early. When I booked the reservation they were offering to order off the regular menu or special Mother’s Day menu. When we were seated they only had the special menu and there was minimal choices. The food was ok not great. It’s very busy near the pier so lots of traffic. Overall not a good experience ☹️
I really expected more from this restaurant. It’s a beautiful place but the service was not good. I am pretty easy going but me and my boyfriend waiting over 10 min for water, maybe another 10 for our alcohol beverages, and the food was warm and was ok. Well the crab cake was excellent and came out fairly quickly. We also waited to pay out. Thank but no thanks.
Excellent food with even better service. Unfortunately I can’t remember our servers name but he was FANTASTIC!
The cheese steak eggrolls were very good, as was the corn bisque. Overall everyone in our party was happy with their food. The patio has nice views of the ocean and good people-watching but can be loud from the traffic on Ocean Ave.
No server! We were there for lunch. We had a reservation, and there was no server. We only were able to order because we chased the hostess. It took 25 minutes to get a beer.and there were only five inside tables occupied. Food took wayyy longer. I love Del Friscos in NYC, but this was an experience i have never had before anywhere. Absolutely no wait staff assigned to our table. Will not return. This place should not be part of the franchise.
A great place that has the misfortune of being across the street from the pier.
Go here if you want to get mugged or be in a room filled with riff raff.
Dont bring your mom.
The mushroom flatboats was soooooo good! Waitress was nice and visibly busy with other tables.
Would not return
Took 20 mins to get drink order , took 15 min to find that wine choice was not available for my first or second pick. They offered Corbin stored wine but found they had no gas thus would not open bottle.
No specials mentioned, no bread or rolls with meal. Only found out at the end of my meal when another server offered bread to another table.
Not the level of service one would expect from Del Frisco for the price!!
Service was great the took us right on time we had rsvp which is a must. Food was cooked to perfection our steaks we so juice and tender. Drink we're outstanding. Must try if ur by the Santa Monica pier and looking for a good steak.
Food was alright. It was the availability for us. Everything else was book in the area. I believe , Dominic what’s his name was super nice and cool.
Food wasn’t prepared correctly....poor service. Will not be dining there again
Not so good
I have been to other locations, Santa Monica just seemed lacking.
Food as usual was great. Our service was terrible.
We went to Del Frisco’s in Dallas, TX in March. We really enjoyed it in Texas. This visit was opposite.
Great steakhouse on Ocean Avenue across from the Santa Monica pier. Great ambiance and wonderful food! Great people watching, too, if you sit outside. We did around sunset and it was beautiful! Food was excellent! Would eat there again!!
Food was fantastic and drinks were delicious
Excellent late lunch break
The Tuna Tacos are flavorless. The manager ignored the comments about the lack of flavor of the dish. Offer no explanation. Very disappointed.
If u like steak or mashed potatoes don’t come here. Employees were great though!!
Our food was delicious. Service was very good.
TURIST TRAP. Worst shrimp I’ve ever had. Service really poor.
This was approximately my 3rd or 4th time coming to this restaurant and this visit was the worst of all. Although our waitress was training someone else, it felt as if we had not seen either of them for long periods of time. Upon receiving our meal, there was hair in it so we sent it back. Upon arrival of the second plate, the meal was not cooked to the finish requested. As we did eat most of it since we had waited so long for the meal. Came back hoping for another pleasant meal but was let down greatly.
The overall experience was fair, since we had a nice view of the pier and nightlife but it’s definitely not worth the $$$. Some friends and I stoped in Santa Monica to celebrate a friend for her birthday, (she’s never been there). We were all excited as the photos of this place and its food looked amazing! The reviews drew us in even more. When we arrived, I kindly asked the waiter if he could surprise my friend with a little birthday cake (checked online and I saw someone recently celebrated and got gifted one from the restaurant) he agreed, but it never showed. And as for the food, it could have used at least some salt for seasoning since neither the fried chicken sandwich my friend ordered or the fish I got tasted like anything other than the oil they were fried in. Our sides tasted better tbh ☹️
We chose to eat inside instead of the patio because it was very windy and warm. We were definitely separated. All server personal wore masks. We chose to dine on appetizers which are fun and filling for a lunch. The fish tacos are the best. As friends who hadn't seen each other for quite awhile, we sat at our table for a long time and continued to get good service.
Nice location. Great service and ambiance. The food was delicious and the drinks were consistent with taste.
