Brunch, wine or dine with us over Easter weekend and enjoy Bone-In Prime Rib all day March 30 - April 1.
Sunday, April 1, 2018
We probably picked a more active night than normal with the date being St. Patrick’s Day. Food was excellent. Noise level was a bit higher than we expected. Hard to have a conversation.
Anniversary- nothing special
Our fifth time there, dined with my wife and mother in law. Typically enjoy it, but seems like it is going downhill fast. Might be our last time visiting.
Showed up at reservation time...Waited 10+ minutes for table. They have no waiting area, so constantly shuffling to get out of people’s way. When sat, hostess handed me a menu with a large chunk of someone’s old salad crusted on it, didn’t seem to care.
I ordered the special bone-in prime rib, my wife a flatbread. About 15 minutes after ordering, a manager came by and said they accidentally over-cooked all of the prime rib and could only make it more well done. Asked if I was willing to switch to a boneless prime rib. I did, but caused a delay.
When food was brought out, the waitress informed us that she dropped my wife’s flatbread and they were remaking it. My mother in law and I waited for a couple of minutes and then decided to eat before our food got too cold. Food was fine. Not great.
When it was time for dessert, waitress came by and tossed the menu on the table and walked away. Not sure if she was distracted, upset or what...but then walked away for what felt like 10 min.
We passed on dessert and asked for the bill. They charged me for the more expensive steak I originally ordered. My wife asked a manager about it and he then went and adjusted it down to the less expensive price if the steak they actually gave me.
Look, I understand restaurants can have an off night. But I noticed a lot of things indicative of a management problem. No apologies for the dirty menu, the screwed up steak or the dropped dish. A “we’ll take 10% off” of (gasp) give you the $15 flatbread that caused the rest of your party to eat cold food would have shown some semblance of caring.
We’re fans of Del Frisco’s and we used to enjoy the grill on more casual evenings (probably eat at double eagle 3:1). Nights like this are damaging to their brand and will push us to try other options in the area.
We had an excellent experience. Everybody that passed us greeted us, our server was on point, and the manage on duty, Jared Fowler, was very attentive to not just us but the entire restaurant. The staff went above and beyond to make our anniversary special. We will return.
Food was amazing! Our server Courtney was top notch!
The food was OUTSTANDING! However, the service (most specifically to get drinks) was not good at all.
Great food good atmospher but very loud table behind us and a large group... maybe you could put large groups 10+ in an area together to avoid this in future.
Being Catholic, finding good Friday evening fish-related dining options during the Lenten Season has become somewhat of a "search" mission that can be very "hit-or-miss." However, after discovering the Del Frisco's Grille "Fish & Chips," this past Friday evening, the search may be over!
My wife and I had 7:45 pm reservations at the DFG in Plano and we were promptly seated in a nice booth, adjacent to the bar area, which was quite active. Our server, Abby, promptly greeted us and provided a number of specials and options. She also mentioned that the DFG "Fish & Chips" were excellent. At $21 for the dinner portion, they are a bit pricier than most "Fish & Chips," but we decided to take Abby's recommendation. The very large portion beer battered New England Haddock and accompanying french fries was almost enough for two people, but I somehow "managed" to consume the entire plate. THEY WERE FANTASTIC! By far, the best "Fish & Chips" I have ever had. In fact, I commented to my wife that I would order them again, even as an alternative to the great steaks at the Grille! And, if you knew how much I love steak, that is really saying something!
Abby was a great server, brought everything to our table in a timely manner, was very pleasant in her demeanor and had a great attitude. All in all, it was a great dining experience and never again will I scoff at paying a higher price for great "Fish & Chips" . . . . well at least not at Del Frisco's Grille.
Overall great experience - as always! Matt, sommelier, made sure to get the perfect drinks ordered and Laura, server, was overall fantastic.
New York Strip and Sole entrees both amazing!
Brought my kids along for family birthday dinner for me, dad.
we where immediately seated. our waitress was extremely attentive and had great suggestions about the menu. the manager checked on our table, and the sommelier gave a great recommendation on wine.
The service wasn't the best - we had started with one server, who later disappeared and then had a new server. They didn't ask to take anyone's drink orders and just went straight to food. It wasn't a great start to the lunch, however, the food was very good so I would still recommend this place. Maybe they had an off day on service.
Food and service is always great here! If you’re fortunate enough to get Haley as your server prepare for great service. Obviously the steaks are great, but I also recommend the cheesesteak egg rolls and the lemon cake! My wife loves the VIP and I’m a big fan of the Test Drink No. 7! Enjoy your meal!
We decided to try the fish special - a whitefish with lobster. The description of the special was not accurate & the fish was slimy. It seemed undercooked, but it was too slimy to eat.
Service great. Food so so comfortable chairs.. would not go back
We had a reservation and the seating was poor. We were sat by the front door and the restaurant was not crowded when we were seated.
Hostess did not see my request on open table for a window table so I did remind her as I saw there were 2 available. She was very willing to fill the request though.
Server was knowledgeable and friendly, slightly too friendly but nice.
Love the food choices and the flavor.
Great place. Been there several times and we are a member of their program. Love going there.
The food and service were excellent! I had a hamburger and it was cooked to perfection.
We are big fans of another steak house in North Dallas but thought we would try Del Frisco's. Our waiter asked if this was our first visit and when we said "Yes" he proceeded to read the menu to us. We are literate and able to read. :-) The steaks were medium-rare (as we requested) but not very tender or flavorful. I don't think we will be going back.
Customer service is impressive. Our server was excellent. She provided all the information we needed to know, was very pleasant and welcoming. The manager came to check on us. The wine selection is great. Everything we ordered came elegantly presented and tasted wonderful!
Love Del Frisco's. The manager, Sarah is wonderful. The service is great and the food wonderful.
Staff was friendly, attentive, without being intrusive. Wine steward made great suggestions. Steaks were wonderful. Crab cake appetizer was all crab meat. Truffle mac & cheese was delightful. Lemon coconut cake was amazing (see picture).
We had a great time!!! The staff and the manager was exceptional
The environment was amazing and I was impressed with the overall presentation.
Our waitress was great - I believe her name was Jessica. I would have given 5 stars, but we ordered one of the specialities - the Lobster Mac and cheese and it was cold. We got it replaced with a hot one and it was great.
I wish they had some vegetarian options. This is a great place so I still would go anyway and order side dishes as a meal.
Excellent service and excellent food. Attentive staff.
We had a great meal with some good wine and the waiter provided awesome service.
We love Del Frisco’s, we go there for many occasions and it’s always consistently amazing. From the food to the service, everything is fantastic. You won’t be disappointed
Not a good night, even worse it was Valentines. Food was not good. Management offered no apologies and still charged for the plate that wasn't eaten. Not a romantic location due to the number of kids dining there. I would not want to return and invest that kind of money for a poor quality meal.
Was there for Valentines Day
Food was amazing and the service we awesome
Will be back
We had an early dinner on Valentines Day. The booth was comfortable for a party of four. The service was very good and the noise level was louder then we would prefer. The food (steaks) was excellent and reasonably priced. A great spot for a special occasion.
They all made us feel very special and our server Steven was very attentive explaining the various menu offerings and recommending a great wine to go with our meal.
Service was excellent. Kaitlyn provided friendly and timely service.
When steaks served two of the staff were there to make sure they were exactly
as ordered. Meal and wine were excellent.
We went to Del Friscos Grille for a family dinner with 10 people. Al of the food was all great and service was right on! My mother mentioned her steak wasn't perfectly cooked for her. Immediately and nicely they wanted to cook a new steak for her. She said it was fine (it was a tad over cooked). She was happily eating her steak when they brought another one, bagged up TO GO! We were there New Years Eve also. Andrew, the manager went way over the top for us!!They always go the extra mile!!
Love this restaurant. It is my go to for special occasions. I love taking people here for their first time. You can dress up or down and be perfectly comfortable,
First time at Del Frisco’s Grille. A bit pricey but the quality of the food was amazing! The music increased in volume a little too loudly half way through the meal and made it difficult to hear conversation. Also waitstaff ignored is for a long rime even after setting aside our empty plates. We could see them standing against a wall many feet away. Overall I was pleased and I will definitely be returning to a different location!
