Del Frisco's Grille - NYC Ratings and Reviews
I had reservations for 7.30 I called the restaurant said I will be 10 min late when I got there I was seated right away our waiter was great he told us our desert is on the House food was good my wife enjoyed it, it is a little dark in there but it’s a fantastic restaurant ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️we will return
My experience wasn’t great I’m used to the other Del Fresco double eagle. No comparison.
Bad ribs, steak not cooked right, not great at all. Rushed us halfway through salads with improperly cooked steak.
Not a great experience. And I’m a great customer of del fresco
We were seated at the back near the wine cellar door. We sat next to a couple who were loud and and had mini bottles of liquor at their table. The woman was sitting on the man lap and it’s was overall an uncomfortable situation. In addition, there was a large party that was pretty loud as well.
I’ve been to Del Frisco’s numerous times, I think I’ll pass on the “grill” the atmosphere was not idea. The service was not as great. I’ve been to the one in Tampa as well and thought the experience and food was amazing.
I asked for truffle butter on my filet and the server said they only had truffle oil. As the large table got their dinner, the guy had truffle butter on his steak. Nevertheless, the table had a full 5-minutes conversation about how much they enjoyed the truffle butter when I was told there was none.
My boyfriend and I had a nice night out here for his 29th birthday celebration between the two of us. We are long-time patrons of DelFrisco's Double Eagle and opted for the Grille this time for a more casual date night. It was perfect! We both had the filet mignon which was incredible. The truffle mac&cheese was no joke either! Will definitely be back in the future.
I love this restaurant for it quality of food. However the evening can be made or ruined by the Server. Last night We felt rushed and had the bill thrown at us before we could finish our bottle of wine. There are places to eat in NY where you can get better service.
We had average experience. Steaks were good my wife’s salmon was bad. Prices were high but we did drink two bottles of wine and for me the wine was the best. Service was very good our waiter was very attentive. We had one guest in our party with a food restriction. You should not pre dress the fried calimari it becomes soggy and our food restriction person would not eat it for fear the dressing contained sulfates.
The restaurant is nice if not a bit loud, and the service was excellent. But my steak, a NY Strip, was — for the second visit in a row — tough. There was one portion of it that my dinner companion and I laughed as we could not cut through it even with the steak knife.
I and my wife took a trip to NYC for the day and made reservations here and couldn't be happier with our decision. We were seated immediately and our waitress was there within a minute to greet us. Jasmine was awesome! The drinks were good and the food was amazing! Not only was Jasmine very attentive but we even had both managers stop over and ask us how everything was. Excellent place and would absolutely go back here again!
My family had dinner here last night (1/27/18) and had an excellent meal and outstanding service from our waiter (Guy from Alabama). The wine list is comprehensive offering great selections byt eh bottle or glass. The dinner menu was a nice selection including Prime meats and sides along with dinner selections as a complete plate. We also enjoyed out dessert which was the Lemon cake. We shared the slice which was enormous and so moist and delicious!
Overall everyone enjoyed their dinners and loved the locatiosn as well.
The prices are steep but but if your looking for a NYC steak experience, I would recommend it.
The one whatout is that at about 5:15pm the lights in the entire restauraunt get lowered (to almost turned off) so it was very dark while we ate. I would suggest to the restaurant to allow tables to control the light overhead.
This was a business lunch and if I have a 1:15 reservation, being seated at 1:50 is unacceptable. Then to add injury to
Insult— we were seated at a broken table!! Then we had to waste time there for 15 minutes until another table opened (right outside the kitchen and next to servers station. My guests were put off to say the least. The food was ok to good but the experience was terrible and let’s face it- the experience is a huge part of what one pays for— especially for business
We were there for my best friend’s birthday. The food and service were excellent, however, the lighting was awful. We had to use our cellphone lights to read the menu. Also, the”background “ music was way to loud. If we wanted to eat at a nightclub we would have gone to one. We mentioned it to our server and he just agreed but did nothing to rectify the situation.
A restaurant in NYC that id absolutely recommend- i ordered brick chicken (roasted chicken with asparagus & mashed potatoes) with a side of mac& cheese. The food was excellent. Ambiance was pretty nice too. Service was extremely quick and so polite! Definitely somewhere Id like to visit again.
Dinner with Family on a Friday night (5:30 reservation)and thought we were reserved at the Del Frisco’s steak house which I’ve been to before, so some sort of bait and switch must have occurred. The restaurant (even though located in Rockfeller center) has poor signage and was difficult to find. Calling the hosts on the phone was of little help as they were “busy.” We’ve eaten at the Hoboken location and everyone agreed we wouldn’t go back. I had the steak salad which was doused with so much salt, it had to go back. The wait staff was very accommodating and the dish was promptly replaced. Nobody in our group remarked with anything other than mediocre, which in my view makes this more like an average bistro, not a steak place, but unfortunately you’re gonna pay like you’re eating at a well established steak venue. Feeling a bit ripped off.
