Del Frisco's Grille - NYC Ratings and Reviews
We made last minute reservations (literally, 30 minutes before res time) after a show. The filet was great and cooked just as expected- no need to send any (4) back. The waiter was fantastic as was the manager who gave us a piece of their amazing lemon cake on the house since we are veterans and it was Veteran's Day! They also contribute to a charity for wounded warriors. High-five for that!!
The food was good and so was the service. However, I believe the drink I ordered, a manhattan, was spiked with some type of drug. After finishing one drink I was unable to function. This was not my first manhattan so I know the difference between being lightly buzzed and being unable to walk normally, speak, see, etc. We were heading to opening night for Rockettes Christmas Spectacular so just kept going. This evening was ruined for me and I hope the restaurant is mindful of some suspicious behavior that, I am sure, was going on behind the bar.
Del Frisco's Grille is a perfectly reasonable lunch place for Midtown. Pricing is reasonable within the context of location and clientele. I found the experience to be much better than the parent steakhouse on Sixth, which is no better than a Capital Grille or other standard issue steakhouse. Service was friendly, and reasonable, but some noticeable missteps included asking for a coffee that came out cold (have never seen that ever) and the ongoing habit of NYC restaurant wait staff removing your plate the moment you finish, even if your guest is still eating. I am not sure if this phenomena is based on incompetence or moving the table along, but in either case it is not great. Food was very good, however, with a tasty (but overpriced) fish taco and excellent steak salad. Overall, much preferable to the main chain, but not a supremely satisfying experience. Perfectly fine would sum it up best.
Returned to Del Frisco’s grill for dinner for one. Excellent food and wine. The soup was delicious and not too large a portion. The seared tuna with noodles was also excellent and a generous portion. The place never disappoints so next time I am near Rockefeller I will be dining there.
A wonderful Sunday lunch! It was not crowded and very quiet — a welcome change. The decor is pleasant, comfortable and understated. Our waiter was very funny, had helpful suggestions and was efficient. He was training another waiter who did an excellent job as well. We had artichoke beignets, Parmesan frites, fish and chips, steak salad, filet mignon burger and prime rib. It was all delicious! Highly recommend this place!
Service was horrible.
I got scolded by the reservationists.
When I complained to the manager while he agreed he did nothing.
I have an an injured leg. I had to keep my foot elevated. A waitress walk over and tells me that havjng my leg elevated on a chair wasn’t a health violation. A made up stupidity. I ignored her.
We’ve eaten at Del Frisco’s in lots of different locations and always had a great meal, this time however it all fell apart! We ordered crab cakes & calamari which were fabulous. Then my salad came & my daughters crab cake, both of which were fine but my husbands ribs were horrendous. He never sends anything back but he had to in this case. The waiter replaced it with an 8oz filet, cooked medium. It came absolutely raw inside so they took it back. It came back still extremely rare and blackened on the outside. The manager and our waiter were both extremely accommodating which was good. We shall return and believe this is a once off!!
A little noisier than expected, but it was extremely full given it was a Wednesday night at 8pm. The Yankees playoff game had a little to do with that, as it emptied fairly quickly once the game ended. The food was good, nothing really exceptional though. The waitress was very attentive, but was dealing with a short deck, as the kitchen was out of our preferred appetizer, and again with one of our entree selections. Reason given was that they were changing over their menu this week so once they sold out of a specific item, sorry charlie. I found that to be a very poor strategy for a place with such a good brand name. I doubt we will return.
Service was horrible. We arrived at 6:15pm, notified the waitress we were seeing a broadway show at 8:00pm and our food arrived at 7:45pm and she had a nasty attitude. I can't comment on the 3 bites of the food I ate, but for the cost, it was a bad experience overall.
Took a friend here for a quick birthday lunch celebration for her as we work in the next building. We had a great time. We sat outside and it is lovely with the Rockefeller Center Promenade as your atmosphere. Our lunch was delicious, we both had the Seared Asian Tuna Salad, and the drinks were tasty, we had margaritas. The sevice is friendly and quick and attentive and we couldn't of had a better experience. I highly recommend Del Frisco's Grille and we will be back. Thank you
Delfriscos Grille is an awesome restaurant
The cheesesteak egg rolls are possibly the best appetizer anywhere
Steaks were perfectly prepared
The “not on the menu” dessert creme brûlée cheesecake is an unbelievable dessert
Service is top rate and ambience is excellent
One of my favorite restaurants!
Service was excellent . When my strauganoff dinner was over cooked they promptly exchanged it for the filet meatloaf- It was divine!! They they complimented me a dessert and the manager apologized! All in all they ensured I was a happy and returning customer!
