We had a reservation and were promptly seated dispute them being very busy. Our server was quick and knowledgeable, coaching us during ordering to have our food arrive in a timely manner. All in all, they never disappoint.
Food good, service poor
Extremely poor service. Had to ask for napkins twice as well as for silverware. A banner felt over my daughter head and nothing significant to evaluate or tender her was offer. Dessert order was not available. Server brought check, prior asking for desserts. I had to open the wine bottle as server was lost.
Honestly, takes advantage of its location. Food wasn’t bad, but every meal of the 5 diners had zero taste. It was just plain blah food.
We were seven people and we all ordered different things and everyone enjoyed their meal.Tobias our waiter was great.
Wonderful for a post-Rockette large lunch! Beautiful atmosphere, great service.
Took the kids ice skating at the Rock and saw a table was open on the app so we stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner. I have always been a delfriscos fan so i new the food would be good but i wasnt sure if it was kid friendly. It was! We were seated right away by a pleasant hostess and brought to a beautiful large booth near a window on 51st street side. Just as we were seated a waiter came over and asked if we were ready to order. We needed a few mins to put i mn our orders and over look the menu but we started with beers and some kids mac/cheese and burgers. He never asked the kids what they wanted to drink which was wierd and seemed pre occupied looking at other tables. So preoccupied he didnt tell us the specials. We figured there werent any until he was telling the table next to us shortly after. Whats that about? Is it because i am with kids? Either way we ordered before we heard about the porterhouse special( which we would have ordered). The kids food came out perfect and they were happy except we didnt get a straw after specifically asking twice. Other than that the meal was great. My ribeye was cooked perfect and the nuttella bread pudding was a hit with the kids. Would have gotten 5 stars if we had a more attentive waiter. 🤷🏽♂️
Wildly overpriced for the quality. Overwhelmed service even off hours.
Del Friscos is one of my favorite spots in the city. The ambience is really nice, although the tables are seated quite close together.
Spend thanksgiving with my mom and sister it was wonderful. The tented outdoor area was the perfect place to sit. Thanksgiving dinner was delicious and the staff was kind.
Unfortunately I was very disappointed in this restaurant. Service was very slow. We received 3 of our 4 ordered meals & had to ask twice for my son in law’s dinner. The food was good once it arrived.
Ordered coffees & cappuccino after dinner & these arrived 20 minutes later & were cold.
This was not worth the high price we paid for this dinning experience.
Worst ever visit to Del Friscos. Last time after over twenty meals there.
Thanksgiving dinner was fabulous, as good as my mother’s. I hope she doesn’t read this review. Only criticism, they brought everything out at once, appetizers, salad, entrees. It felt rushed.
The food was very good. The pumpkin bisque was delicious as was the turkey, dressing , mashed potatoes, green beans and the pumpkin cheesecake Our server Kaitlyn was very nice and attentive. All in all we had a wonderful dinner .
We were here as a small family group for thanksgiving around lunch time. Sitting in the outdoor tent was lovely, and we had an ace view of the Rock center Christmas tree. The service was excellent and the food was even better. Still thinking about it.
A great spot for lunch or dinner. Food and service were fantastic with a fun energy and atmosphere.
Juan did an excellent job. Thank you. Diane and Jack Breckenridge
Pre theatre dinner and it was perfect. Called to change time and they were accommodating and kind. Great casual place for pre theatre. Fun that it’s in Rock center also!
wonderful spot to dine, great for lunch or evening.
Extremely delayed. Waitress disappeared for 10min at a time. Told the food was coming when it clearly was not. Items were wrong when it did.
Sam and the supporting staff made our dinner experience memorable.
I came here before a show. The food was fine and the restaurant was noisy. I would go again if I needed a restaurant before a show. There were a lot of tourists around, with kids. Good for families.
Tourist Trap in Midtown
Our filet was delicious and the mac and cheese was awesome!
I am truly sorry to have to write this, but it was awful in every way. I have booked Delfriscos everytime I go to Rockefeller center and things have changed.
1. We were left sitting at our table after a waiter asked about our drinks and then Disappeared . We tried to find out where he went and then were told a change of shifts was going on. ( It was a 4 pm reservation) No one took our order until 4:45 and it was rushed and taken by the original waiter who we guess was waiting to go off his shift.
2. We almost always order the tomato and burrata salad and it comes with a mixture of tomatoes and nice pieces of burrata. This had one big tomato cut in 4 snd one blob of burrata.
3. We also always get the chicken dish. They must have changed the ingredients because there was no flavor and less chicken than usual.
4. A $40 scallop dish which supposedly included roasted broccoli and baby arugula came with cold tiny pieces of broccoli and limp fennel and arugula which looked like it had been rejected from someone else’s plate ! There was also no flavor.
3. Always order the coconut cream pie snd figured couldn’t go wrong here. Well that changed too. No flavor, crust tasted like Rice Krispies, consistency of custard totally different.
So, is this the new protocol since Covid vaccinations ?. Get as many people in and serve inferior food snd provide inferior service??
I know they were serving shifts for people going to Radio City, but we were paying for s nice meal.
There was also no social distancing whatsoever. I had a person practically breathing on me thruout the meal . As I said this was always my go to restaurant. It won’t be anymore.
( As a personal note, I always book this after my ct scans at Columbia medical across the street as a treat for dealing with my cancer)
What a shame.
We visit NYC twice a year and Del Frisco's Grille is our first stop. Food is excellent and the service is great.
Our waiter was horrible!! Never came by the table to check on us and see if we needed anything!
Excellent food and really great service. A little expensive, but a really nice place to dine.
Surcharge for credit cards is not legal and very frustrating. Our waitress Jodi was lovely and trying her best but seemed there was not enough “help” as service was slow.
Everything was yummy! Get the lemon cake!
What a disappointment. Can’t say anything
Positive about our dinner except for the steaks. Cocktails were poor- old
Fashion came as a rye with cherry- no bitters, no
Orange peel. Grey goose cosmos tasted like candy. French fries are air fries -came cold 2 times. Salads were ok, not great. Ordered $165. bottle of wine. Server did initial pour and never came back to pour again! Amazing! We order 3 prime steaks- took 5 minutes for another server to find our server to get silverware to eat! Just an expensive poor experience not to be confused with double eagle. Horrible and the manager had no clue.
Went to this place did my birthday, Would l give it 5 to five if server weren’t so distracted… Food was delicious but server took almost 40 minutes to take my order basically because I asked him if he was the actual one, then appetizers came together with main courses 😵💫😵💫😵💫 but definitely is a place to try
The fresh corn bisque and fillet mignon was excellent. Great atmosphere and energy, excellent service. Delicious food. Everyone in our party of 8 was very pleased with the food and the entire experience. Would definitely recommend.
Food was subpa and uninspired , searing was too jam packed with zero breathing room. So disappointed
Wonderful service! The wait and host staff was accommodating! The food is fantastic as well. One of the best steaks ever and the truffle Mac, WOW!!! Hard to find as maps kept taking us to 50th. Access from 51st!
All was good, good food and wine and had a nice time but they were rushing us out I don’t like to feel rushed
Party of 8 and they gave us a private room. We had a pretty good experience. There were a few negatives:
- wine bottles we ordered were not available after waiting 15 mins for them to bring
- one of the dishes on the menu was not available
But some of the things were really due to pandemic and supply chain issues so I hate to ding them on that but I had to mention.
Had the following and recommend them all:
-Philly cheesesteak rolls
Missed the mark a bit:
-fish special (branzino): had to request lemon & salt
-ahi tuna taco (tuna was stringy and not seasoned)
Service was above average and atmosphere was fab.
We were initially seated in a high traffic area near the entry but were reseated by the hostess upon request. Service was good, although the waiter was delayed in responding at times due to balancing multiple tables including a larger dining party who were seated around the same time as our table. The food was spectacular- steaks were prepared perfectly, side dishes (brussel sprouts and truffled Mac & cheese) were excellent compliments, and the shared crispy artichoke appetizer was also very tasty, although served only 2-3 minutes before our entrees were delivered to the table, which was obviously not ideal for enjoying it before the main course. Our modest wine selection (Daou Pessimist - a 2018 red blend) was a fine choice to accompany our dishes - although the markup to $55 for a bottle that retails below $25 was predatory! The location, right in the midst of Rockefeller Plaza and just around the block from Radio City, always makes this our preferred stop for dinner before our annual visit for the Radio City Christmas Spectacular and to see ‘The Tree’. We will return again.
The food is always good. This is the second time in a row that I came for lunch and the service was very slow. It's not that the service was bad, just very slow,
