On Saturday night, 1/12/2019 when going to the bar for dinner and to watch an NFL Playoff game, we were treated extremely rudely and unprofessionally by the female and male bartenders on that evening. We did express our displeasure with the manager on duty and left. We will never go to a Delfrisco's Grille again.
The quality of food was terrible. This is a place to eat appetizers, a hamburger and grab a drink.
Our server was excellent but my steak came out too pink. I specifically asked for between medium well and well done. I explained how I wanted the least amount of pink as possible without the steak being burned. It came out basically medium rare. And after it went back to be cooked more, it cake out the same way.
Excellent food and service. Prices are somewhat high, although specials are available.
Del Frisco’s, very beautiful ambiance, great staff and great value for food. Was a very dinner and would recommend as a not so hidden - hidden gem. Shorter menu to the Friscos in DC, but quality isn’t changed, just as good.
Always great food with personable service.
Fantastic service. Delicious entrees. I would not recommend the chips and guacamole though. Chips were stale and there was only a small cup of guac. Wines by the glass are plentiful and good size pours.
Great service. Tuna was perfect!
The service was terrible. The waiter was flustered so I couldn’t get to upset about the service would just suggest maybe not busy nights. The food was pretty good. Only disappointment it is nothing like the DC one. This one lacks the fine dinning experience felt like I was at an Applebees no offense to them.
We went for New Years Eve so can't really speak to the full menu but the prix fix NYE menu had an extensive selection and was delicious. Notable varieties of wines are offered as well!
Great food and great service. They accommodated making my daughter chicken strips and french fries -which was something not on the menu that evening.
Fast service, good food, and great atmosphere overall. Went here for NYE and they had a specialized NYE menu! Definitely a good spot for date night, anniversary, or special occasion. In the heart of Pike and Rose which is a beautiful area.
The food was delicious with generous portion sizes. The staff was attentive without being intrusive. We had a great time!
Great service and delicious food. The server was very helpful and good natured. The only negative is we had to ask for bread instead of automatically getting it.
Great food and service
We've eaten there before and enjoyed it but NY Eve was a miss.
I was disappointed in the food (salmon it just fell far short of expectation and the normal level we found. My take-away is that I'll avoid them for the holiday special and frequent them the rest of the year.
The first impressions were normal and excellent. A great and welcoming face at the desk who quickly corrected the hostess and assured her that we had a reservation. Hostess apologized and we were seated immediately. The waiter was friendly and (this was pretty early in the evening) took time telling us about the menu. Drinks, my salad and my husband's appetizer arrived. While he didn't love it, the appetizer was as described; the modified wedge salad was excellent.
As the first course was removed and the table was set for entrees, we were taken aback that the stroganoff set-up included a steak knife. The pondering of whether it was for the noodles or the beef was fun. It was for the beef which was served to the side; it wasn't incorporated into the sauce. But there was no need for the knife, it was falling apart. All the elements were there but the separation of the meat was not wise; it took away the rich, luxurious, comfort-food element that stroganoff embodies and replaced it with ribs & a side of noodles. A real miss.
The salmon was ordered "on the rare side of medium" yet arrived well done. The outside had been crisped in oil and was very greasy. The taste of the oil over-powered the delegate salmon.
The lobster was well-cooked but didn't taste fresh; it had none of the sweetness that a fresh lobster has and the texture was stringy and chewy. The melted butter was infused with something that was best left out; it was remarkably bad.
On the bright side, the ambiance was bright and fun and it waiter was very personable - two big pluses to help usher out there old year.
My group consisted of 3 generations of family. Everyone left happy with their meal.
Everything was fine but it wasn’t good enough to justify the high prices. The ambiance was nice but they put our party of 5 at a table for 4, which was tight. The food was good but not great (and it did not come out warm). I was expecting better. Definitely not rushing back.
We booked this restaurant on a recommendation from someone who had been to a Del Frisco's in Charlotte, NC. Our experience was nothing like theirs. It was our 30th wedding anniversary, and while the hostess noted that fact upon our check-in, our waitress never acknowledged our anniversary nor offered a complimentary glass of champagne, desert -- as is customary. The booth was inadequate for 5 people and we ended up moving ourselves to a communal bar table. The steaks were very good according to our guests but the scallops were sub-par - not browned and not large sea scallops. I expected the food to be better for both the reputation of this restaurant and the costs charged. I was disappointed that our anniversary wasn't recognized. We are happy to splurge but this experience was not worth the splurge.
Food was fine, but not special. Kitchen came out with a medium well steak, when we ordered medium rare, so it had to be sent back. Food was expensive for what you get. I wouldn't be inclined to go back.
Good all around
The restaurant is just across the street from my office. Often I'll take clients to lunch there. As more restaurants open up nearby, I find myself often avoiding Del Frisco's due to their poor service. Last visit we got our appetizers before the drinks. At least the food is usually good and consistent.
Food wasn’t good at all. But the service was good enough Even when we couldn’t understand the waiter very well.
Food was really tasty. Great set up for visiting with a group of old friends.
Bad table, bad service, not the normal by far... but bad none the less
we ordered chips and guac for appetizer and guac was brown :( my daughter ordered steak medium and it was medium well. I ordered steak medium well and it was medium. Fries were warm not hot so it must have been sitting. Waiter was very nice but not worth the price. Bummer because I really wanted to like the place....
Given the menu pricing, one would expect the quality of the food would match. My experience was this was absolutely not the case. Most of the food was tasteless; neither my meal not my friend's had much flavor. Quite a disappointment. I would absolutely not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Great place for a business lunch meeting. Great food and service was prompt - perfect spot for our purposes.
Service was awesome. Drinks were good. Food was mediocre at best. Brick chicken should be taken off the menu. Artichoke fritter was good and my husband’s burger was the best part of the meal.
I was very displeased with the service. Our waiter didn’t introduce himself ( I still don’t know his name) and our initial drink orders took a very long time to come out. However, the food was good and I like the atmosphere.
I took my date here and she loved it!! The place was beautiful, the staff where super friendly and to top it off the chief came out with the food to make sure it was prepared correctly!
This is my third visit since the restaurant opened. We went early (6:15) before a show at Stathmore and were shown to a dirty booth behind a pillar. Probably the worst seat in the restaurant. Sat for 10 minutes before being given menus. The waiter was fine, but not around much. There were two large parties starting after we arrived so i can understand that the staff was stretched, but that was their responsibility, not mine.
I had the beet salad with goat cheese. The goat cheese had been blended with beet juice so far too sweet. the main course ( I don't even remember what I had) was bland. The whole meal needed some salt. Anyhow, too bad as I used to really like this place and it is so convenient to Strathmore, but we won't be back.
spent time looking for parking on the street. The street parking is limited to 1 hour for $2-3 per hour while the public parking free for the first two hours and a dollar per hour after that.
Went for my parents anniversary. The waiter was very attentive and awesome. They even have my parents an anniversary card signed by the staff!
The service was nice and staff friendly. Wine pours were fair and tasty. Was a little disappointed in the quality of my steak.
Food was excellent - our waitress was great but sometimes a little slow, maybe because the place is so big! A little loud, but very nice.
We had a great time.. service was great but a little slow. Would still definitely return.
We had a reservation for 7:30 and waited for them to have our table ready - took quite awhile. Waiter was very nice, but didn't offer us bread (I think we were supposed to get it). Food was good, but not worth the prices.
Staff very attentive. Food quality excellent
This was our first time dining here. Our server was Tenelle (we have the same name, spelled differently) and she was wonderful. We never had to ask for refills or anything. The rest of the staff removed dishes promptly and the manager stopped to ask how we were and even brought my bbq sauce himself.
We started with a lump crab cake and although it really isn’t made to share, we shared it anyway and loved it.
My daughter was happy with her burger. She loved the mashed potatoes too. My husband was pleasantly surprised by his fish and chips. I liked my ribs and fries although I was expecting my fries to be tossed in grated Parmesan not shredded, but they were still good.
Overall, we enjoyed the visit and would return.
