We had a business lunch there for 6 people. We were seated in a booth that was a comfortable fit for 4 but much too small for 6. It was very awkward. The service was also slow.
Good service but very slow night. Maybe too much service. Good food. Pricey. Very expensive wine list. Don't you make enough on the food?
Nothing special here. Mediocre food (steak ordered medium rare was gray, over-cooked and sent back). Mediocre service. Failed to acknowledge my wife's birthday, though mentioned on reservation. Not bad, but there are too many other Dallas restaurants in that price range that are much, much better. Our first time here and probably won't return.
My husband and I just ate at Del Frisco's Grille in Dallas, we were visiting from Colorado. We were greeted promptly and seated at a cute two person booth. Service was excellent, friendly and informative. Manager came over to our table our check in with us, she was friendly, kind and helpful. The food was wonderful, as was the wine. We had a lovely evening and will return. We have already purchased a gift card for our son who lives in Dallas so he can return with his girlfriend! Thank you for a lovely evening.
We had a good time. The only stumble was with my wife's steak. They initially served to plates wrong and we like much different meat temperatures and sides. After the swap, her steak was still under cooked and when it came back it was over cooked. The selections of wines by glass was good as was the dessert menu.
We made our reservation for 8, we only had 6 show up so we thought it would be no problem for us to get our table. When we arrived I let the girl at the front desk know my name and she got her manager. The manager was very flustered and blamed open table for even allowing us to get a reservation because they had no room for us. There wasn’t much communication on her send for a solution. I asked her if we could sit at the bar and wait for the table to open up and she said we could but it just seemed like a large inconvenience for her. I understand being flustered when the restaurant is full but a customer should never feel like an inconvenience. Our waiter was amazing though and redeemed a little of our experience.
It was enjoyable.
Delicious perfectly prepared and presented food ... fun upscale atmosphere!
Celebrating my parents anniversary. Emily took great care of us. Food was amazing. Portions were plenty. Quality of the prime rib and prime ribeye steak were great. The service was exceptional. Value for the price was perfect. My parents were delighted.
Horrible service
Service was a little slow and we love the VIP drink and they ran out at 7 oclock on a Friday. A little disappointing.
I’ve been here several times. The service was unusually slower. Our waiter seemed to be the only one working the lunch shift, which delayed our food, ticket, service. I ordered Medium Well steak on my salad & got Well - dry, practically burnt.
Will prob be back but I hope you staff better during lunch hours in th future.
The entrees were brought out too soon, before our salads were finished. Our soups arrived with the entrees. The sole was a bit over cooked and the sauce was very bland. My partner’s ribeye was char burned on the sides. The waiter never asked how dinner was and presented us with the check, without asking if we might be interested in dessert. Our previous experiences at the Grille have been much nicer. This was honestly a waste of approximately $130.
Very friendly service, amazing food, and great attention to detail!
Small portions for the price . We were there for Easter..menu not special . Our food arrived sort of cold ..waiter didn’t ask once he checked on us .
Service wasn’t great, but the food and ambiance are pretty good. Waiters rarely check on customers and waitress wasn’t very friendly.
We came for our three year anniversary and loved it!! Definitely will be coming back.
Always the same -- always good! The food was great and, for a saturday night in Uptown, we could actually hear each other at the table! (We say upstairs). The steaks and salads were great!
The food was amazing, prices were reasonable, and the area we were seated was perfect for a date night. We will be going back very soon!
Consistent everything. I've never been here and been disappointed. Service is great, food is great, location is awesome, and it's a great place to bring people when you're trying to show off McKinney Avenue.
The food is good and the service is excellent but the setting has gone downhill. This used to be a more upscale dining experience. Now, the tables, chairs, and service pieces are worn and dingy. Guests come in flip flops and cargo shorts. I don’t mind those things, except when I’m paying $200 for a dinner for 2.
Had reservations for 7:00 and were seated promptly at 7:00 . Service was great . Restaurant was a little loud at times but ok. Had crab cakes for app. , it was excellent . Wife and I both had steaks which were good but not great. Overall experience was good and would definitely recommend.
The steak was burned & dry , but service was amazing.
I remember this place being much more upscale and food used to be outstanding. Now it’s just an expensive joint. Disappointed.
Party of 10 for my birthday. Everyone liked the food and the older family could even hear.
Excellent service we were proptly seated and the food was out fast.
We had reservations on a Saturday night. There was a good crowd but we were seated quickly. Service was excellent, food was great--I highly recommend the cheese steak egg rolls! Drinks were very good also. Very nice but not too pricey, perfect date night atmosphere.
Great dinner, excellent steaks, seafood, and apps. My 4th time to eat here, great place!
Overall it was a good experience except a few hiccups in service (our waiter disappeared, dessert order was missed...) I wish they spread out the diners at the almost-empty upstairs dining room. I did not want to listen to others' conversations. :) It was easier for their servers but not very customer-friendly.
Great for group dinner, great service and accommodated splitting check 6 ways. Always pleased with their food!
Outstanding cheese steak egg rolls, Tuna tacos. Prime cheeseburger was good. The prime rib was outstanding!
Last night we dined at Del Frisco’s for my husband’s 30th birthday. The servers were friendly, knowledgable and attentive. The food was fantastic and came out very quickly. We had a wonderful time, and we will definitely come back!
I would definitely recommend this location to others.
Party of six, great meals all around - Steak, chicken, salad, and burger. Only miscues were side salad came with meal and mixup with sides, training new waiter. Recommend for anyone looking for a variety of cuisine.
This was our first time dining at this location. We were having a late Valentine's Day dinner. I don't think it is very old, but feels very worn and tired. Our table was marked like a table in your favorite tavern. Good for a tavern, not for Del Frisco's Grille. We were first offered a table just outside the kitchen. (The place was less than half full. I have quite often felt that Open Table members get the worst tables unless you speak up). We asked for a different table and were then moved to a booth. The seat was dirty and the table had not been properly wiped. Our server apologized and said that a couple with a child had been at that table. Still - they should have cleaned it properly before seating someone there.
The food was very good. We both had steaks. Our server was very friendly and helpful, but not knowledgeable about the wine list at all. And did not offer any wine steward or sommelier to help. Maybe because it was a Sunday night, but still ...... over $250 dinner with wine, I expect a little more.
I've had great food and service at other locations of Del Frisco's Grille. Will go to those in the future.
I don't usually leave poor reviews but I have to say this was a bust. I made a reservation on OpenTable and had to change the number of guests so I called and the hostess said there was nothing she could do. I looked at open table again and a slot was open about 15 min earlier than the reservation I had made originally, so I just booked it online. When we go to the restaurant with the reservation it took 45 min for us to be seated. The drinks sat at the bar in front of us for 15 minutes before someone brought them to the table and by the time the food showed up the egg dishes were cooked through (presumable they had been sitting under a heat lamp or just waiting). Various different people on the wait staff asked each of the people at the table multiple times what they had ordered to eat or drink, and we had items no one at the table had ordered brought repeatedly. The manager got us two appetizers, which we said we really didn't want, as compensation. Generally, I can understand a wait staff having a bad day, but this is not the first time I have had sub-par service at Del Frisco's but it was finally bad enough to review. Overall, I definitely won't go back.
Phenomenal service. I take my son here on the regular as it is also his favorite (4). He is always well behaved and they remember us every time, give wonderful experience and do not act upset that I have a child. They go above and beyond all of the time and I have always had at least one manager check on us every time we go there. Amazing food. Would not recommend for children unless yours is also like mine and VERY well behaved during dinner.
Loved the atmosphere, our waiter was amazing... we will be back again.
My Mom’s food came out undercooked. She got her steak when we were about done. Service was very mediocre.
The environment and drinks were good as well as the cheesesteak egg rolls (amazing!). However the stroganoff was nothing special and the sliced beef sandwich which we were so excited for was almost completely raw. We had to pull cold raw pieces out of the sand which to eat it. If we had more time we would have definitely sent both sandwiches back. We love eating all steak/beef medium rare... but that was way too rare and cold.
