Del Frisco's Grille - Fort Worth Ratings and Reviews
First I would like to say I go to both of the Del Friscos in town multiple times throughout the year for work and personal. The food was good, our drinks were never refilled, our appetizer showed up before our cocktails and we had to ask the food handler to go to the bar and get them. He also brought us water later when our waiter seemed to disappear. We weren’t the only table experiencing this and I walked down after we were leaving to let the front desk know. They offered to talk to me but the waiter had delayed us for our play and we were running late. I told the waiter we had to be be out because we had a play at 730. Truly one of the worst experiences We have had and it put a damper on our family holiday night. We have a dinner spot at double eagle next week and I’m thinking of canceling it and going to Eddie vs this experience was so disappointing.
I was in a hurry to make the reservations on Open Table and meant to choose Del Frisco’s Double Eagle instead of Grille. We were there for our 26th wedding anniversary and dressed formally for The Nutcracker Ballet. We felt out of place. We were seated in front of the doors to the patio which opened and closed frequently. With the temperature being a bit cold, we ended up eating in our winter coats. The people watching was fun and the food was delicious. If we had been out with friends in casual clothing, it would have been perfect.
Our waitress was not nice nor helpful. She seemed put out by serving us. She never had a smile. There was no initial greeting, and she refused come to the other end of the table to take orders. We were a party of 9, so with the background noise it was difficult to hear. She didn't give appetizers to the people that ordered them. My steak was order medium and it was at best medium rare and I refused to have it put back on the grill after I cut it because I did not want a dried out over done steak to have to send back a second time. I would have expected someone to come over and check at that point; especially after another person in our party was served cold fish tacos that had to be sent back. I have been to Del Frisco's Grille multiple times with a big party as well and never had service this bad. The only great point was when our party stayed and we were given a new waiter Aaron. Aaron was everything that I have ever experienced at Del Frisco Grille: nice, attentive, and consistently aware of our needs. I wish that our entire experience would have been like this.
Was disappointed, sadly. Took my husband and son there as a surprise to them, with my bonus check. Wanted patio and even indicated on reservation but once we arrived was a 45 minute wait because it was first come - first serve. However, there were several tables open. Ordered the cheesesteak egg rolls which were the best of all the meal. I asked about the ribs and was assured they were slow cooked for tenderness. They were so tough and I had to use a STEAK knife to pry them apart. Very disappointing for such a fine establishment. My husband ordered the 12 oz filet mignon as we had anticipated sharing our food. It was nothing to write home about. The tenderness was good but the flavor was meh. Our fries that came with our meals were cold upon delivery and shriveled. Again, expect more for the price that you pay. One other note, for this nice of a restaurant able to seat as many people as they can, a one-holer bathroom? Seriously? There was always a wait. Would probably come back to eat those eggrolls again but nothing else. Very bummed for the price of $150. Oh, the server, Wendy, was the best thing about the experience.
Three remaining sisters, who lunch together once each month, selected Del Frisco's Grille, on our late brother's December 10th birthday, to celebrate family, life and the Holy Christmas Season, with a delicious lunch and a movie, in beautiful and thriving downtown Fort Worth, on Sundance Square. Never disappointed when dining at Del Frisco's Grille.
Expensive for what we got. Server was very nice but food came out at different times leaving the other sitting with their meal while others were waiting. Tomatoes were omitted from salad and had to ask for our side dish which came out 15 minutes after entrees . Very sporadic service for the price.
I was extremely disappointed in this location. Having just moved from Houston and gone to Upper Kirby location there multiple times I found this location lacking. We were sat next to the patio door (freezing temps outside), I’m 8 months pregnant and asked to move to a table two away from the door, the server (not hostess) gladly accommodated. It was cold the entire meal. We started with the deviled eggs, which came out promptly and were excellent. My husbands martini was ordered with the eggs, dirty Tito’s... and didn’t come until our next course of splitting a wedge salad towards the end. The bar was not that busy. We both ordered steaks, mine w the fries and his with the asparagus. He ordered MR Pittsburgh style, came out wrong. I ordered a filet MR rolled in peppercorn. Fries were lukewarm, his steak had zero charring and when sent back they charred a single side (always great to pay $45 for a steak to be recooked)... my steak was marginal quality and half heartedly rolled in peppercorn. The manager (bald, probably 6-6’1) came by to apologize and let us know it was being fixed, and as my husband was speaking turned his back to talk to the table behind my husband before he was finished speaking... which I had seen him at multiple times so I’m assuming someone he knew. I ordered the Nutella bread pudding for desert... it was good, not great. Check came promptly and we closed out. Server was good, minus having to ask for the Martini and a little slow on checkbacks once food was dropped. I honestly expected a little better, but I guess I’ll find it at the steakhouse next time.
My husband and I went here before a performance at Bass Hall for dinner. A special dinner for a special evening. Everything was delicious and I can't begin to complement the wait staff. It is so nice having a wait staff that gives the impression they actually care about serving you and making sure you have a nice meal. We don't normally go to a place in this price range and am glad we chose it for our special date night. Great food, great location, great atmosphere, and FANTASTIC staff.
The four of us ordered different food items. Everyone enjoyed what they received. Fabulous food. All the staff we came in contact were friendly and very attentive. Highly recommend The Fort Worth Del Friscos's Grille for any occasion. Yes , this place is Fort Worth Friendly for sure.
Probably one of the worst dining experiences. We've gone to Del Frisco's plenty of times, and we usually don't have a bad comment. This time was a completely different experience. We were sat by the bathrooms... on an extra table that was half-way lit, next to extra chairs and a wait staff closet. Our waiter was not as attentive and our drinks were often empty. The food was okay, but took an hour to reach our table from the time of ordering.
Everything was great with the exception of the hostess. I’m not sure her name but she was the only blonde girl working. She was rude and unaccomdating. If it was just her that I based my rating off I would never come back, but since everything else was good I have to try and overlook that. I definitely recommend this being addressed by management because that is the first thing guest experience.
We went for my husband's birthday and we're sat at a table that was the main walkway to the restrooms. It was constant people walking next to our table and bumping into us because it was busy. I ordered the bone in prime rib and nearly half of it was fat. I was not impressed for the $45 price and would not recommend anyone ordering it. We've eaten at the other Del Frisco's downtown and loved it, so not sure what happened at this one but we will go else where from now on.
Went here to celebrate Anniversary and Birthday due to convenience and based upon wonderful previous experience at Southlake location. Noted the special occasion in the "special occasion box" on the reservation and it was not acknowledged at all. I even mentioned it to the hostess as we were seated (she did say congratulations). Once brought to her attention at the conclusion of our meal, the waitress and then the manager apologized for the "oversight." I would not recommend this particular location.
Always good menu with selections for all tastes & price points. Highly recommend the corn bisque & coconut pie! Service can be spotty; water glasses not refilled on timely basis, server doesn't check on table to see if everything OK. NOISY! Best view of Sundance Plaza.
Although the place was nearly empty inside, the service was rather slow. My mother initially received cold coffee. My niece and sister received cold fries even after a significant wait. All were returned and a new batch brought out but that just added MORE time. Our waitress and the manager on duty were very nice but nothing allowed me to impress my family of 8... especially since Del Frisco's Grille is one of my favorite places AND my office frequents the downtown location. I have spoken of your establishment often but my words did not match what we received on Sunday. I have had better food and service before... during lunch.
The resturaunt was very nice and the service was great. All the sides were exellent, unfortunately the main courses were the absolute worst I have ever had. I got the ribeye, it was grossly undercoocked and a bad cut to begin with. My companion ordered the filet and it was tough and dry. I left the waiter a great tip, because he was fantastic, but it is extremely dissapointing to pay that much for a steak and it be inedible. I'm sure it is not a usual thing, or you probably would not be in business, but it was enough for me to never go back.
