Del Frisco's Grille always delivers a wonderful experience. We have been here for dinner many times, usually for Valentine's, anniversaries and birthdays. Quality food, well prepared, great service, reasonable prices for this level of quality. We always leave happy and relaxed. The only negative is that even though we always have a reservation and we have always arrived on time, we have to wait out by the hostess desk for 10-15 minutes until they decide to seat us -- other restaurants seat us immediately on arrival when we have reservations.
This trip to Del Frisco's Grille did not meet my expectations. I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger and fries. The burger was on a bun so small that I had to eat it with my knife and fork. Had to search for the minuscule bacon...I am sure it was there somewhere. The French fries were cold. You just expect more when you visit Del Frisco's Grille.
I ordered the filet mignon because I prefer a very lean cut of meat. The first steak they served was full of fat. We mentioned it to the server who immediately sent out the manager. A 2nd filet was served and it was excellent. Unfortunately, my husband had finished his before I received my 2nd one. However, they did comp his dessert he ordered to eat while I was still eating. We did not expect that since they did furnish a good steak.
The Manager was very good and very apologetic. Our disappointment was for a first visit, we were surprised they would have served that quality of steak in the first place.
The food was great, the dessert was amazing, service was good as well and our waiter engaged in a great conversation with us. Overall, it was a great atmoshere, but paying what you pay to eat here, I never really didn’t see the value for the money. My steak looked more like a 6 oz filet rather than an 8oz.
My husband an I were celebrating our anniversary and we could not have picked a better place to do so. Brian is the manager and he came to speak with us and asked the occasion. We mentioned our anniversary and he paid for our appetizer and our dessert. He then proceeded to bring us two glasses of champagne and he noticed me yawn a little earlier that evening and even brought me a red bull haha. He was so very thoughtful and a very kind. He didn’t have to do any of that for us. Our server was also great and very quick for a Saturday evening!! The food was delicious, we can’t wait to go back. Thank you for such an amazing dining experience!
Too loud. Had to yell to talk directly across my table. I placed reservation online, noting special seating request in the PROVIDED SPECIAL REQUEST BOX. Arrived at restaurant, seating request not made. I understand if you can’t accommodate the request but let me know by phone or email so I could decide to change my time or cancel rather than you decide for me how important my special request is to me. The hostess did come back and begrudgingly give us the EMPTY table in the area I asked for. No manager ever came over to discuss. Not worth our time I guess for the measly $200 we spent on dinner. We won’t be back.
While the food was good the service was terrible. It was not busy and it seemed to take forever to get drinks, apps or food. We sat with four and had to wait for two more and no one even greeted us or started drinks for 10 minutes.
Timing out of the kitchen was poor. Meal came out and two side were left off. We started eating before that was complete.
This seems to be the theme the last few times I have been in. Food good. Service poor and not reflective of the price point.
Empty restaurant and barely saw our server. Ordered the prime steak salad. It came out pre sliced so they should have noticed at that time it was cooked well past medium rare. The food runner quickly put it down and took off. I dine out a lot and like a good steak but only occasionally order one, so I was looking forward to this prime cut. . A place that prides itself on quality meat should appreciate a proper cook. I waited. for my server for about five minutes to ask if this is what the chef considered mediums rare. However he was nowhere to be found, so I gave up and just ate my disappointing meal. 15 minutes later he finally walks by and I had to flag him down. I showed him my meat and he snapped back “why didn’t you tell me about this, We could have sent it back?” I didn’t mention he had been a yeti my whole meal. . He decided to get the manager (not by my request). who took another 5 minutes for her to come by. I really didn’t want to complain. She asked, in a rushed bothered tone, how everything was and I just said steak was a little over cooked, showing her my grayish meat She said “everything else tasted good though, right?” I said sure and was about to say I only came for a good steak, but She cut me off and then hurried away. No apology no over concern for my patronage. I wasn’t looking to be comped. I was just taken aback by my overall experience. I’ve eaten there many times before but the poor service and rude treatment has made this the last time.
Opening service was not good...took 15 minutes just to get water on the table. Wine service was incorrect - incorrect bottle brought out and corrected later. Food was very average at best. Servers were confused as to which items belonged to the right person. Stroganoff noodles stuck together, indicating they had been sitting for some time prior to being served. Ahi tuna tacos were not good. Overall, service and food quality did not match the Del Frisco's name.
We went to Del Frisco's Grille for an impromptu dinner as we were in downtown and wanted a steak. We weren't dressed properly for fine dining so we went to Del Frisco's Grille. The food and service overall was just OK. Our salad had little dressing and our sweet potato fries were delivered cold. Not hot, not warm, but actually cold. By the time we received replacements that were actually hot we were midway through our meal. The manager did come by and we honestly told him about the couple of minor issues, of which these things do happen in the restaurant industry. However, it would have been a nice gesture to have been comped the fries - but we weren't. Overall, we didn't feel it was a good value. This wasn't our first time here and it certainly wasn't the best. I guess we were a bit disappointed because this visit wasn't the usual experience.
