Our family ate at Del Frisco’s Grille on Thanksgiving Day. We all ordered the turkey dinner. Everything was fine except the turkey itself. It consisted of large slabs of meat, rather than slices. Can’t say as I’ve ever had anything like it in my life and hope I don’t again. Service was good.
Went there for Thanksgiving lunch with family. Overall food on Thanksgiving menu was pretty good but would suggest sticking to a more Southwestern flavor with the traditional dressing. Desserts were disappointing too for the same reason. Screwed up a chance to serve some really good bread pudding but chose to serve dry cake with Nutella spread. Come on Chef, tradional is great, leave it alone.
Numerous people had to complain to the staff to turn down the music. Music is great for happy hour but not for a family dinner, it’s just a loud nuisance.
We had Thanksgiving dinner here as we were out of town. The restaurant is lovely, modern, spacious and inviting. Service was outstanding. Even though there was a crowd, the food was served promptly and was delicious. Our waiter never let the water glasses get down to half full. This is a beautiful place to enjoy a meal, we were delighted with food and service.
Only restaurant in Ft. Worth that makes you wait---always--for a table even when you have a reservation. Very aggravating. Not even busy---but wait.
Ordered fish and chips--out. Ordered a cab wine---not a cab; a blend.
Food cold and not good.
I give up. Great location; not good food, and the front staff downright unfriendly. Always make you feel unwelcome.
Food was not good at all my wife’s steak was sent back 3 times and still wasn’t cooked right and my steak was really under cooked as well I don’t mind paying for good food but this wasn’t worth the price we definitely won’t be going back to this place again
Patio dining was requested and not granted. We were told there was a 3 hour wait for patio (when we left, there were multiple empty tables). We chose this restaurant and patio based only on special event we wanted to experience. We were placed at the table furthest from that area. Server was great, but food was mediocre at best. We won’t return.
We made a reservation for my birthday lunch before a performance at the Bass Hall. The artichoke Appetizer was very good. My husband’s burger was good, my sliced steak sandwich was mediocre. Some bites were delicious with tender steak then the next bite had slices I couldn’t bite through. I had a pile of inedible steak slices by the end of our meal. When I mentioned it to the waiter and he offered me a second sandwich half (I at half a sandwich of what was chewable and gave up on the second half). The manager came by and I told him. He said he would mention it to the chef. I am sure that wasn’t a surprise to the chef. The coconut pie was huge and shareable. Service was excellent on the front end then seriously lagged as the restautant got busier. We visited this restaurant during restaurant week and everything was excellent. We may visit again but NOT order the steak.
Late dinner. Varied menu selections, all sounding delicious. Scallops were cooked well, polenta base was too salty. The steak was tender and juicy. Service was good and apologies made for lag time with our order. Bartender is very efficient considering the influx of people after a show. Overall, for late night fare good choice but not a first choice.
Waitress was awesome! The hostess were not very friendly. There were 3 on them and 2 of them were not happy about being there. No smiles. Acted annoyed. And bothered. This was our first time to visit so it wasn't a great first impression. Especially if they are the first thing you see and talk with as you walk in. Overall however I enjoyed dinner and the experience.
Once we arrived we were escorted by a very pleasant young lady who asked if our table was acceptable. We asked if we could have a booth and she immediately went to the person in charge of seating to check. While we were waiting Kenneth, the manager checked to see if everything was okay. Moments later the young person escorted us to our booth while the manager welcomed us to the restaurant and explained the differences between Del Frisco's and the Del Frisco' Grille. Soon after we were seated our waiter Stevhan welcomed us and asked for our drink order. Once he returned he asked if we wanted appetizers explaining our menu choices. We decided on the crab cake which was almost all crab meat with a delightful seasonings and sauce. I also tried the sweet corn bisque which was delicious. Stevhan checked to make sure we were happy with our choices. When we finish our appetizers another young lady asked if we were enjoying our visit and our appetizers. Shortly after our steaks and house potatoes arrived. My ribeye was cooked to perfection and the flavor was out of this world. My wife chose the fillet and was very happy with her choice. The mashed potatoes were probably the best we have ever had with a blend of flavors to compliment the meal. The steaks were defiantly some of the best we've ever had and can't wait to return next time we're in town. They also have a selection of deserts so in keeping with my wife's love of chocolate, we shared the molten lava cake. It was served with an amazing vanilla ice cream, vanilla chocolate shavings, thick whipped cream and a in house made raspberry sauce which took this desert to another level of delicious. The cake itself was remarkable and the molten fudge inside was to die for. Like I said, we shared this desert but think we'll get our own deserts next time!! We both commented on what a pleasant friendly staff there was at this restaurant from the people who cleared the table to the manager.
Good quality food, good food preparation, good waiter, food slow to arrive at the table. We prefer a little less noise (music volume) so we can easily talk across the table. Close enough to parking for a leisurely walk with plenty to do nearby. We will most likely return and will refer to others.
The food was delicious but extremely small; however, the service was bad. Our waiter made a $72.00 tip when he visited our table with no urgency. Two of our seven entrees came out about 5 minutes prior to the other entrees making them cold by the time we began to eat. These two entrees were also the special's for the evening. When I go to an expensive restaurant like this, the service best be on point and the food all served at the same time! I can go to Saltgrass Steakhouse and get a prime rib steak that is just as good, less expensive, and excellent service.
Food for dinner was fabulous!!!! Also had lunch earlier outside on the terrace - food, service and atmosphere was fabulous!
Dinner was upstairs...requested a booth overlooking the plaza but our table had a limited window view.....about 25%. In addition, salads were brought out early (before the wine was poured). We told the server we thought these were someone else's - way too early and 3 of the salads were wrong. He insisted. Desert was comped for their error but only 1 desert when 3 salads were incorrect. After we finished our meal, the same "new person" tried to deliver another salad to us and was not aware that we had finished our meal and wine glasses were empty - in other words, we were clearly done but he was trying to deliver a single salad to our table.
