Del Frisco's Grille - DC Ratings and Reviews
The decor is more like a Ruby Tuesday than a fine dining establishment. We went on a Saturday night and it was pretty empty in the restaurant but, even without the patrons, the service was poor and my steak came out undercooked. That said, their food is delicious and I especially liked the truffled mac and cheese and the Nutella bread pudding.
The food was good. It was Valentine’s Day and a little closer to closing so I’m guessing that’s why the server wasn’t being as attentive as possible. She never came and asked how the food was, she just took the order and disappeared until we asked the hostess to find her. The food was pretty good. I loved the crab cake. I’m a server so I know what to expect service wise. She would of gotten a wayyyyyyy Better tip if she interacted with us.
The staff at Del Frisco’s Grille in DC is the warmest and most professional group in the region. Their excellent service and personal kindness made our experience unforgettable. The food is delicious- every bit of it - I am certain they make the very best hand cut French Fries I’ve ever had!
Having been to the DelFrisco's in NYC (across from Fox News), we expected something really good. But this DelFrisco's proved to be a major disappointment right from the start. The hostess had an attitude and threw the menus on our table without a word. We sat without service until a nice waiter from another area helped us. The food was mediocre ( my meal was cool in spots), and the sole was laughably small. The ambiance was just OK. A poor value for the price. We will not return.
We both had steaks for dinner which were cooked to perfection. The rubs on each one were excellent. My husband had regular fries and I had the sweet potato fries. Loved them both. Neither of us drink alcohol so we had nice strong coffee with our dinner. We topped dinner with dessert and were not disappointed by either choice. We highly recommend stopping in. The wait staff was attentive without being in our face. Very polite.
I work in the general area and Del Frisco's is our "go-to" restaurant for special occasions and friend's outings. The food and service is very good and the ambience is very nice. The cost is on the high side, but it is comparable to other restaurants in the area of this quality. I highly recommend.
We were pleased with our meal. I had the corn chowder and a tomato & burrata salad, both delicious. My fiance had the beef stroganoff. We split the artichoke beignets, which were also excellent. Our only complaint was about the service - our waiter was a bit flighty, bringing us other tables' food and drink a couple of times, then disappearing when were done with our meal and needing to leave in order to get to our show at Warner Theater on time. Overall, our experience was positive and would have been excellent had the service been a better.
Meh. First time here and could be the last...for a meal, anyway. Food was poorly prepared and not particularly appetizing...also not inexpensive. Too many other places around to be so mediocre. Bar looked worth hanging out at. Maybe I'll just give that a shot some night
We had an amazing time for our celebratory lunch. From the food to the service this place never fails. The cheesesteak egg rolls are the absolute best! I have to say that our server, Raven, should put on a course. She was simply amazing and went out of her way to make sure we felt special. She also has great integrity. Gratuity was included in our large party’s check. We were unaware of this fact and tipped on top of what was included. she verified just to be sure. We left some of the extra to show our gratitude. Amazing! Thank you to the entire staff.
My lunch meeting went well. Upon. arriving iI was promptly seated and my server was there right away. My co-workers and I were able to order without delay and the food arrive promptly. The food was delicious, I had the Sweet Corn Bisque which is always a hit and the mushroom flatbread pizza. Everything was great, I will definitely patronize Del Frisco’s againz
The staff was very friendly. The Staff seemed very busy so the breaks in between seeing him was long. The food was great. We will definitely return.
There is no valet parking. The closest garage meant almost a complete circle around the building. There was construction inside the building that housed the garage which made the parking complicated.
Not much happening in the area where it is located.
The hostess greeting was warm and genuine. The waiter's joyful attitude put us at ease and set the tone for a memorable meal. The waiter was attentive, but not hovering - with service quality one would expect from a top tier establishment. The burgers were yummy. Lots of toppings, but neatly arranged and not too extravagant or "over the top." Soup a bit spicy for my taste. My dining friend ordered the chocolate lava cake, and she raved about it. I think next time I will order that for dessert.
We went there for Restaurant week before the Sinbad concert. A group of 3 couples. At $35 for three courses, it was worth it. The artichoke beignets was delish. The meal I got was the pork shank and the collard greens. I have been raving about the collard greens to everyone. Yes, the pork shank was delicious seasoned and cooked to perfection but the collard greens was just so much more tasty and not overly cooked, nice bite. For dessert was the bread pudding that all my friends loved. My husband got the burger and fries, and he said it was the best he's had in a while. The prices without restaurant week is the normal for DC. The place was cozy and classy.
We went for the RW menu, and were not disappointed! The food was amazing, and the servings were plentiful! I had the artichoke beignets, pork shank and salted caramel pudding. Six beignets on the plate, delicious, the pork fell off the bone, was so tender and flavorful, and the pudding made my mouth water! Hubby had the wedge salad, stroganoff, and bread pudding.
One of the best meals we have had here in D.C.
Wonderful pre-Warner Theater evening with friends. Food was amazing. Salmon cooked to perfection and excellent wine list. The service from the bar to the table was top notch. The artichoke beignets and the mushroom flat bread with truffle oil though? So good I wanted to cry! This will become a regular spot for sure.
Best thing I had was the appetizer- which honestly the artichoke beignets were amazing. The rest of the food was fair. Service was super slow and multiple times We were waiting for refills of our drinks.
Don’t go here for restaurant week for lunch. We waited 10 minutes between courses.
I made a reservation 1 month out only to have the hostess tell my boss rudely that he did not have a reservation and that it was restaurant week and she was unable to seat my boss's business lunch. He of course did not accept that and was eventually seated but the hostess provided horrible customer service.
