Del Frisco's Grille - Chestnut Hill
A wonderful venue for a business lunch; evening dinner with family or friends and weekend brunch.
I find the food and beverage selections as well as the thoughtful preparation and presentation broad enough to make for a wonderful dining experience each and every time I have been here.
The staff is welcoming and attentive; they do not disappoint.
I give this restaurant and bar a 5 Star recommendation
The food and service are good. It is a good place for a business lunch. But the price is just too expensive. Salads for 3, no wine, no coffee, no desert, no starter comes to $100. That's expensive.
Food and service were good. Table next to us was extremely loud.
Great Burger wrapped in lettuce. Skipped the Bun ate the wonderful sweet potato fries. Life has its choices!
The restaurant was empty mever a good sign even on a monday evening
The server was excellent
The salad was fine
The rolls appeared sore bought.
The steaks, a rib eye that was a thin as a plate, small, cooked properly but tasteless and of poor texture.
We sent it back, which was handled politely and deftly by the server. A strip was ordered as a replacement. Prepared quickly and arrived almost raw. Sent back and
returned properly cooked but also tasteless, thin and of poor quality.
The other strip we ordered was thicker, cooked properly but as with the others tastless and certainly not of the highest quality.
The sides, fries and beets, was passable.
With all the good to excellent steam restaurants to choose from, in similar price ranges, there is no reason to visit del frisco
I was disappointed that they had a special, smaller and less interesting menu for Mother's Day.
The inside was nice great seating . Our meal came out quickly our waiter wasn’t the best she didn’t offer us water and when we ask for the water she brought some in a alcohol glass no straw provided and the glass smelled raw! We ordered dessert and that took forever to come out and the Lemon cake was not worth the wait had a weird smell and taste stale.
Great food wonderful views and cozy ambiance coupled with excellent service all make for a perfect dinner out
Have been her several times . Wait staff is always good the problem is with the front . The last time there was s huge presentation going on and they seated us right in the doorway where everyone keeps passing , the waiter changed our table. This time we had a reservation for mother’s day and an elderly person with a walker . The front desk was very confused on where to seat us and ended up having us walk halfway and standing in the middle of the resteraunt while other tables that came after us with people in wheelchairs were seated before us. There was no explanation for the delay and leaving someone with a walker standing for so long.As I stated the service is always good once seated the problem lies within the front.
Our only complaint/concern were the outfits of some of the wait staff-- skirts very very short, which we felt was a little inappropriate for such an upscale restaurant/location.
On a busy Saturday night, restaurant handled party size change and service and food were outstanding! Fabio took really good care of us.
I took my wife to Del Friscos for her birthday on Saturday May 11. Started off fine with salad and drinks. For entrees, I ordered the NY Strip. I asked for a pepper sauce on the side and when the meal came, I was given a small amount of pepper corns on the side. I asked the waiter for the pepper sauce and he then proceeded to take the steak telling me he’ll have the pepper corns cooked on the steak and bring it back. Two minutes later he brought back the steak and a sauce. The sauce was not a au poivre sauce but something else. The steak however was awful. The pepper corns were flash grilled onto the steak and the result was probably the worst tasting steak I’ve had in a while. I scraped the peppercorns off the steak but it had a burned propane taste to it. As it was my wife’s birthday I didn’t want to make a big deal but the meal itself was a complete let down. I’ve been to many a DF and always like the experience but never have I been served a steak that was this bad.
Everything was delicious service was great a wonderful pre Mother’s Day meal!!! Good time had by all!
Service and food were excellent as always. I go here frequently and always recommend it to friends. My only complaint is the noise level but I've learned where the quietest tables are. Love the place.
The restaurant was pretty empty on a Sunday night, but still the kitchen was extremely slow getting the food out. We were there over 2 1/2 hours and the manager paid for our dessert. The food was ok but not at all comparable to a Capitol Grille yet had the same prices. Not good value at all. I don’t plan on returning there, despite the convenient location and pretty view.
Was here for a birthday party. They were very accommodating although a little slow despite not being busy
Cheesesteak egg rolls and tuna Asian salad were delicious! The server was very good; attentive, timely, and very pleasant.
Overall had a great time at Del Frisco's. The service was great and the food was very good.
Good food and a decent-sized portion so you don't leave hungry. There is also great natural lighting from all the windows and a decent-sized bar in the middle. Waitress was attentive and pleasant, but it was also very quiet when we went. Have not been here at a noisy/busy time yet.
There were five diners at our table. One person had to send back her food but the staff were very accommodating. Another person has severe food allergies and the staff dealt with her request without any problems. The noise was a bit much to easily hear a person who was not sitting immediately next to you.
My only complaint is that we asked to be seated away from others due to risk of infection for guest of honor who has leukemia and is subject to infections, especially measles. This has not been a problem at other restaurants when we arrive at 5pm. We arrived at 5 and walked to the far end of the restaurant to our table fo 9 which was perfect. A second party was seated at the immediate front, very far away from us. The third party to arrive was two young mothers with three children under 4. They were escorted past all the empty tables and seated immediately next to us. This was disconcerting and disappointing. We rearranged seating at our table to optimize distance from the children and they dined quickly so there was no harm. We would be reluctant to return to Del Frisco’s due to this communication breakdown.
Excellent Ribeye! The simple salmon, was just that. Wish I went with a steak, but my husband's ribeye was exceptional! Beets with goat cheese were phenomenal! I forgot that I mentioned my husband's birthday when I made the reservation...our waitress brought out a piece of cake and candle before our check. It was a nice surprise.
Best crabcake I have ever eaten. Wife agrees. We order them wherever they’re offered. Some are great and some are awful. These are the best.
As it was Easter, it appeared that everybody was waiting for their meals at the same time; we waited for more than an hour (and we had two toddlers with us) before our meal was served. The food was good, the waitress was very pleasant.
The noise level was right through the roof
I could not hear people across the table when they spoke. Again this may not be the norm, as it was Easter and Passover.
Great steakhouse salad! Nice view of the reservoir, though there is a parking lot right next to it.
We’ll be back!
Over all the entrees were so salty we couldn’t eat it
Del Frisco's Grille consistently hits the mark which is why I keep coming back!
I had really enjoyed the restaurant food and ambience when I came there for a conference in the function room several months ago. I was excited to being friends there who were visiting from Texas Sun eve. I felt embarassed as the service was terrible and the waitress borderline confrontational. The artichoke appetizer was tough and difficult to eat. The beat salad was good.
Might want to keep closer eye on servers? It made things unpleasant and I am not a complainer.
Great time. Food was delicious as always. Will be back soon!
Was excited to go for the menu, easy parking, nice setting but really disappointed in the food. Too rich and too complicated, even things that could be simple. Server was nice and attentive but did not give good guidance to help expect this. I suppose the calorie count should have!
Del Frisco's Grille in Chestnut Hill is consistently outstanding. The appetizers, especially the cheese steak eggrolls, are awesome and the steaks are consistently cooked to perfection
Very overpriced for what you get
Great birthday experience.
So many different food options to choose from. LOVED the impossible burger- so glad you now have it- We had a table by the window- We did not feel rushed at all during our meal. The service was great- and the restaurant is easy to get to and plenty of parking!
Nice place for first date and they found us a quiet table!
Horrible server. Could not be bothered to help us or check on us
