Valentines Day dinner. Exceptional special menu for valentine's dinner. The meat came out underdone and needed to be sent back, but it was one of the best tasting steaks we've had once it was cooked to our liking (I.e. Not cold and raw in the middle). The server was friendly but nothing too special and sometimes there was a wait but it was obviously busy so understandable.
Second piece of bread was hard and cold. Expensive prime steak got cold way too early. I also requested the steak sauce on the side, but it was poured on top making the whole thing a bit too salty for my taste. I understand it was very busy but these kind of ruined the experience for me.
The food was outstanding, but the service was lacking. First off, despite having a reservation we were still made to wait for our table for awhile. Then, we ended up getting a really lousy waiter, who was not only relatively cold and rude, but also made multiple mistakes throughout the course of our meal (some of which really caused some serious disruptions to our experience). Unfortunately, we were planning on returning to celebrate an upcoming milestone with a large group of 15+, but despite the great food, the lack of quality service will probably make us look elsewhere.
Good view and food selections! Nice piece of cake with a candle for my son's birthday.
Our experience with the food was quite mixed. Chicken wings appetizer was good, filet mignon was delicious, but salmon was subpar--not particularly fresh or tasty. Bought a better piece of salmon at Trader Joe's earlier in the week.
I have had a number of very good meals at Del Frisco's Grille in Chestnut Hill, but this was not one of them. We were seated at a booth that was right next to the bar and the noise level was so loud that each of us had difficulty hearing what the others at our table were saying.
The cheese steak egg roll appetizer was very good, as it always has been, but my Redeemer cocktail was more bitter than I recall it having been on previous occasions. Some of the best items, such as the filet of sole and the meatloaf, no longer were on the menu.
The prime beef short rib Stroganoff was a great disappointment - the meat was not tender and the bottom of the short rib was so overcooked that there was a 1/4 inch thick layer of leathery meat that could not be softened, even with extensive chewing. The manager brought me another serving of short rib which was more tender, but again the bottom was overcooked to a lesser degree than was the first piece of meat that I had been served.
If I am to return, I will order one of the more reliable dishes, such as a burger, and I will ask to be seated far away from the bar.
Steak options were great; side dishes all sub-par. Fries were all small pieces and over fried/oily. Broccoli was dry and mac n cheese was ordinary. Presentation was plain.
Service was good.
This is the second time a tried a different Del Frisco and I will never go to another Del Frisco again.
Very savoury food and respectable establishment with hip decor and nice art on the walls
Great food and service. Del Frisco’s Grille is a great place for a casual meal and great steak.
We are regulars at this Del Frisco’s location and have never had any issues until today. I was extremely disappointed with our waitress and the food. We ordered a steak well done and requested to butterfly the steak. How can someone work at a steakhouse and not know what this is? Our steak came out rare and it was not cooked as requested. The waitress instead takes the steak back to be cooked some more, which caused the steak to be extremely dry at that point. We took 2 bites of the $50 filet and couldn’t eat another bite. Needless to say, we will not be coming back to this location. The waitress didn’t seem to care how disappointed we were with the steak. Perhaps this happens more often than I thought.
Good food and atmosphere!
Service a bit ambiguous. The servant didn't ask how we were doing and we had to change him around for extra utensils.
Good place to have a party.
It was the worst food we have experienced at any restaurant and it was a party of six.
Excellent dinner. Loved the sesame tuna special.
my first visit ..took friend to lunch.
wish i ordered several bowls of the corn chowder..that is great
Our reservation was for 8:15 and didn't get seated until 8:35. Hostesses were not engaged. However, once seated our waitress came right over. She was great, very energetic. Cocktails were excellent. The food started out good with Ahi Tacos and Burrata. Straganoff was ok, the egg noodles were all stuck together. My son wasn't thrilled with the Brick Chicken, but my wife enjoyed the Kale/BS salad. The molten chocolate cake was excellent. I'd rate the experience a solid B.
We have been to many Del Frisco’s in various cities. Generally, it has been a great experience both at the Grille and Double Eagle. This was not one of them. Noisy, service was subpar, chasing servers for water, steaks were over cooked, fries were greasy and soggy. Disappointing and inconsistent with prior experiences.
Excellent food and excellent service
Food was good although we went for happy hour apps and found out Chestnut Hill does not have this menu. Our waitress was not very understanding in the matter, but the manager did come over which was nice.
This is my third or fourth time to Del Frisco's Grille -- first time for dinner. I was surprised at how quiet it was (on a Tuesday night). The food--as always was delicious. Loved the Tuna Salad ... the flatbread was INDULGENT. The service, initially, was a little too attentive, but then calmed down. I will be back.
Prime rib was excellent as was the service. Would go back!
We were not given bread until we asked for it. My meal was under cooked and had to be sent back.
Our first visit. Too loud, too expensive for the level of service and quality of food. Better as a bar for young people out for drinks and apps. Definitely not for the steak house experience. Table overlooking parking lot while we ordered $50 steaks. Won't return to this location.
Disappointing. I had heard good things about this restaurant but found the menu ordinary and the preparation of the food the same. Unfortunately, nothing special.
Had to ask the hostess to find us a waitress who was standing and reading a book? Prices are much too high and sitting near the bar the noise level is terrible. We probably not go there again.
A perfect spot to reconnect with old friends who want to have conversation with their meal!
Great food with much variety to please all palates!
Steaks were cooked to perfection
Service was good
Decent drink menu
In hindsight I guess I should have expected dinner on New Year's Day might not be up to par, so shame on me. But it's a steak house right? How can you mess than up. Well, they did. The wine pours were minimalist, the steaks were tough, the garlic mashed potatoes were tasteless lumpy chunks, the service was inattentive and the bill was sky high. Disappointing all around.
My wife and I went to enjoy a New Year's eve dinner. We decided to sit at the bar to get better service. We ordered two drinks off the menu. Both were syrupy and took away from the drink. we ordered a couple of main courses and both came out cold and in my wife's case flavorless.
have been at downtown Del Frisco and this one tries to copy the upscale vibe but misses the mark. Food was good but not amazing, oversalted, waitress didn't know much about gluten free options, tables were stuffed together and it was just VERY loud in there. I think I might go back for lunch and see what it feels like for a casual day event but its not special enough for an expensive dinner out with friends... all windows and much of it looking over chestnut hill parking lot. that's not too special. felt more like an upscale chain... which is I guess what it its.
Del Frisco's was the perfect setting for a mini-high school reunion! Wonderfully relaxing ambience, great service and wonderful food -- thank you!!!
Overall a good experience. Didn’t love the table location but that didn’t make a huge difference. TV is the area was distracting. Pizza flatbread was a bit over cooked and dry but I am picky about that. It’s still a favorite place of ours to go.
I don’t know what all the rave about this place is. The menu is odd, the appetizer list is more like a bar appetizer list. The truffle mac and cheese side was not good, the beet and goat cheese side was good but not plated well, should have sliced beets or larger cubes of beets. 312 with tip, I would have expected better for what we got. And we only a 50 bottle pf wine to share with 3 of us, so it wasn’t the wine. I will not be going back
Christmas Eve dinner with my children and their Nanna
Our dinner was excellent. The service was also excellent. I recommend the
restaurant for dinner or for lunch.
I expected capital grille -coach grill -Ruth kris
Food was like a cafeteria
Noise level not soothing and calming
Just not good
I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.
Holiday get together. Our waiter Chris (?) was very patient with our leisurely pace and very careful and attentive to our companion’s multiple allergies and preferences.
Good service, good food but pricey.
