Del Frisco's Grille - Burlington Ratings and Reviews
We liked everything about our first visit except the boards instead of plates. They were hard to maneuver and we didn’t get the point, as we weren’t having steak. Plates would be a much better option! Otherwise, the food was good and the service was excellent.
Went here on a Saturday night for my birthday. Started with the Artichoke Beignets which were very tasty and then enjoyed a perfectly cooked medium rate 8oz filet with mashed and a side of asparagus. Finished off with a large slice of the Lemon Doberge cake which was excellent. Also had a well made Old Fashioned and a nice glass of red the server recommended. Service was good and I like the steak house ambiance. Would definitely return.
Disappointing. Steakhouse salad had tough tasteless steak, all bitter lettuces, hard boiled deviled eggs that were so over cooked they were barely edible and some very nice bits of bacon. The Caesar salad with salmon came with a piece of over cooked salmon the size of a credit card. The wines we chose were very nice. Don’t know why this place is crowded when there are much better steak restaurants so close by. Save your money and go elsewhere.
Had a reservation but that didn’t seem to matter. After an hour and a half I went up to ask and they said they were just coming for us. Then they went to take us upstairs, but we had requested downstairs. Another wait, and then the food was not hot or cooked the way it should of been. I’all never go to this location again. Boston was so much better.
Three out of four of us got the Filet Mignon, it was ok but didn't blow me away. Don't think it was worth $48. Sorry to say that service was fair at best, took awhile to get refill of cocktails, asked for some bread or rolls and they brought one small piece of bread (roll) (without a knife) that was the size of a large biscuit and was so stale that a butter knife could not cut it. Heard that it was a great restaurant but I was not impressed.
This is our second time visiting this location as opposed to the Seaport. For the second time, the Host (s) did not read or acknowledge our reservation and ignored our simple request. After the first visit, we had hoped it was just an off night and thought we'd try again. Mistake. The Host/Manager, Tim, was unpleasant, unfriendly and unaccommodating. We were there early when the place was quiet. Had it not been a holiday, we would have been out the door within 5 minutes of walking in. Our waitress Kiley was the best and only pleasant part of the evening. She was upbeat, pleasant and friendly. Our wedge salad was good, our steaks were ok as were the sides and dessert. As we are both local professionals that dine out often with clients, we will NOT be coming here or recommending this location. We will definitely be sticking to Boston where the staff is always pleasant, professional and accommodating.
Del Frisco’s grille is our go to for special occasions. We were very late in deciding what we wanted for New Year’s Eve, as we go out early and are usually home asleep by midnight. We inquired at 4 pm and they had a reservation available within 15 minutes of our desired time. We had our favorite cheese steak egg rolls, I had the brick chicken which was moist and flavorful, and my husband had the 12 ounce filet.
Service was phenomenal. Kylie was our server and was super attentive and answered all of our questions honestly causing me to change my entree choice and glad I did. The level 1 wine sommelier stopped by and gave us some advice on red wine that we will try even though we already had purchased a bottle of white. Super friendly and informed staff and the food was among the best we have had. Will make this a regular stop
Very disappointed with our experience. 2 major issues:
1> The scallop dish was a huge disappointment. For $32 (Lunch) you would expect the jumbo scallops. I got half a dozen button scallops. They weren't particularly flavorful either.
2> After ordering dessert we were waiting for half an hour to get it and it still didn't come so we left. There was no apology from the manager either.
Other than that the rest was just blah for a pretty pricey place. Definitely NOT worth it.
Very disappointed! I made a reservation for 4 more than 2 weeks prior asking for a nice table as it was a Christmas celebration with friends. The hostess commented on that and seated us a a large table set for 6 near the door. When I asked for another table she said she would have to see, left us there, answered the phone, and never came back to us. A waitress finally saw us standing there and found a nicer table for us.
We all ordered steaks which were ok, sweet potato fries were cold and were replaced. Portions very small for the price.
The night was enjoyable because we were with good friends, not because of anything the restaurant did.
I booked this as a first visit for my BF's birthday. He is a real 'foodie' and notoriously picky so I was really happy when he loved the wine list, raved about the quirky take on his Beef Stroganoff entree, our beet and whipped feta appetizer, and the fabulous lemon cake for dessert. My own ribeye steak was cooked perfectly and can compete with any steakhouse in the Boston area.
Everything logistically went beautifully as well. We were greeted warmly, seated promptly, and all the staff we engaged with said Happy Birthday to him throughout the evening (great extra touch!!)
We would definitely come here just generally now for a good dinner and experience, not a special occasion as I thought the prices were very reasonable as well and a casual atmosphere is suitable as well.
