Before Covid this was my go to place. I am not sure if they don't have enough staff or if the staff that they have hasn't been trained well because the service went so down hill. Not only was the wrong cut of steak served and returned but it was not cooked to order. I noticed a table next to us that also returned their steak as it was cocked wrong. Not our server but a woman manager/ "steak expert" told my husband that he was wrong and the steak that they originally served was the correct cut. Clearly it was not as we had the correct cut for another member of our party and it tasted completely different! What happened to the customer is always right and making them happy with their experience? Morton's is up the street, STK, Sparks, Old Homestead, Peter Luger Smith and Wollensky our old favorites that we will be back to. I gave this restaurant too much business and I'm over it!

The del Frisco's name is one that I associate with a high quality experience. As far as stakes they prepare them well and probably oversaturate them with things that aren't so good for you. But who cares? Arriving at 7:30 yesterday there was a line of people waiting for a maitre d'. When one finally arrived it hadn't been that she was running around seating people they were just low energy and slow. The ambience at the restaurant is very nice, it encourages consumption. The waiter was very passive and then come to take a drink order till 15 minutes after being seated. We didn't want to lose the opportunity to order, food also took 45 minutes to arrive. Here is the thing... This was mostly an empty restaurant and the service really couldn't care less about the customer. They weren't mean, they just didn't care. I think that the restaurants are now poorly run, they know they'll have customers no matter what, so they don't really try to make the customer happy. A meal for my son and I on very Spartan menu was over $200, not a great value. I think you should consider going to places that may give you a better experience for that kind of money, I certainly will.
While the food was good, the service left a lot to be desired.
Server did not check in on us once after food was delivered and we were all needing refills on our beverages.
After asking for a dessert menu, we stopped him as he was passing by us 20 minutes later to request the bill.
We chose this establishment as part of our Father's Day festivities based on past reviews.
Would be a bit more understanding if place was packed, but it was nowhere near.
While not the worst we've encountered, for the price we paid, we probably won't be back.
Waiter was terrible. He rarely checked on if we needed anything and had to be reminded, several times, to bring things like drinks. However, he was super eager to see if we were finished so he could collect the check. He was much more concerned with turning the table as opposed to if we needed anything …. and restaurant was mostly empty.
I know labor issues are abound but the service was unacceptably slow. Thanks to the hostess for pitching in and being our server.
Business birthday lunch. Everything was delicious and the service impeccable. Thank you.
Food was good, great location. We ate outside in the evening and they had heaters and there are partitions to cut down some of the street noise, but still able to see around. Would definitely go again.
Good news- the food was pretty good. The rest- Our original server was completely unattentive. Forgot necessary condiments, so out food sat getting cold while we had to eventually search him out. He left for home after serving our appetizers and never told us or apparently anyone- which I learned after 30 minutes, when I asked someone to find him and put our dinner ticket in. We were asked by a different server if we wanted dessert, but we had still not been served our dinner. Then half the table was served 15 minutes before the other half, and it was another 15 minutes after dinner was cleared before we could find someone to get us a check. Forget trying to order a second glass of wine. The service was so bad it was nearly comical. We were comped a good portion of the dinner, and other servers/management *tried* but I would have preferred an acceptable level of service to a discounted meal. I worked as a waitress and cocktail waitress for years during school, so I know its not an easy job. And yes, its Covid so getting timing right is hard now, but this was over the top bad. I have eaten at the midtown DelFrisco's many times and it has always been wonderful service. They should think about having management/staff in midtown train the downtown staff.
Upscale restaurant in Battery Park City. We dined outdoors due to having our dog with us and our COVID comfort level. Tables were spaced apart nicely and patio was segregated from street sidewalk for added privacy.
Food was delicious. We had the mushroom flatbread and the tomato/mozzarella salad as appetizers and the chicken entree.
Cocktail and wine options were excellent and typically priced for NYC.
Wait staff was extremely friendly and casual. Probably a bit more professional would have been preferred, but overall, a very nice dining experience and would highly recommend.

Our waitress was very accommodating, arranging for my friend and I to split our entree and dessert. BBQ ribs were delish. Wish they had more of a dessert menu--like simple ice cream instead of way-too-rich coconut cream pie that was too much even though we split it. It was delish, yes, but a dish of ice cream would have been better as a follow up to our ribs. That said, this is an excellent dinner option.
Unfortunately found a hair in my shrimp entree but was with a client during the meal and did not want to raise a fuss.

Very disappointed in the BBQ ribs. Tasted like they were boiled then microwaved (no taste).
Worst food I have ever eaten there. I have been there many times. Even when sending food back to bd re-heated, came back the same. Horrible.

Outstanding food and service. The bathroom was a little dirty but that happens.
As it was our anniversary and I did mention that at booking, they brought us two glasses of champagne. Which was extremely thoughtful and made us feel great. Food unfortunately didn't live up to that. Eggrolls were very greasy, shrimp cocktail was not fresh, v cauliflower steak had no seasoning and just was not that edible, and ribs were OK, but greasy and fatty. Paloma was a fine drink and the champagne was a big hit and meant a lot to us.
Never again. Very very limited menu because they ran out of mostly everything. It was very loud. Never received our drinks. I could go on
The food was very disappointing. I feel so embarrassed because I raving about this place to my aunt. So I decided to bring her here for Mother's day. After I complained the manager never came back to the table to apologize or acknowledge us.
I ordered the shrimp cocktail and it tasted off and I couldn’t finish it. Later that night I threw it all up. I have been to Del Frisco in Atlanta and was disappointed by my experience at the NY location.

We were not told it was last call to order food so we missed ordering food. We were there from 6 yo close. When we tried to order food again we were told kitchen was closed. Wish someone has told us earlier so we could have ordered more food.
We usually like Del Frisco, and have been there many times. But they dropped the ball on their Taco Tuesday e-mail promotion. We came last Tuesday in response to Del Frisco’s email to get our flight of 3 tacos for what seemed to be $15. When we sat down and asked our server about the promotion, he had no clue, and had to ask his chef if there was such a thing. There was no mention of it on the menus they gave us, but he came back and told us that it could be done. They turned out to be very small tacos, and when the bill came, they tried to charge us $25 for them. A manager we talked to about it first claimed to not be bound by the nationally advertised price, even though no one at the restaurant had mentioned anything either verbally or in writing about a $25 local price. After some back and forth, the manager finally knocked our price down to the $15 advertised price.
We’ll be back at some point, but we’ll avoid the Taco Tuesday promotion, which left a bad taste in our mouths about a place we had previously enjoyed many times.
Made reservation to celebrate a milestone in my family for lunch. Host sat us immediately. The wait staff was friendly. Ordered wine to find it was not available. Ordered another that was unavailable. Finally found one that was available. It was excellent. Steaks were spot on as well as the shrimp entree. Staff was efficient, busers were excellent. Only one complaint, the bartender was rude to my daughter and I when we were in search of the bathroom. Otherwise, another excellent meal, as usual, at Del Frisco's!

Great food, customer service and good adult beverages! Great date spot that I highly recommend which is literally a couple minutes walk away from the Hudson River board walk.
