None of the wait staff smiled. At all! The place was not inviting.
I made a reservation at Del Frisco's Grille to celebrate our anniversary, and noted that on the reservation. When we arrived our table was ready -- they seated us immediately on the entrance level bar area. We noticed the booth was cold and drafty, so we asked to be moved and they graciously moved us to another table that was still drafty but not as cold overall. Our waiter arrived shortly after and we ordered wine, which after a few minutes he returned to tell us our choice was not available, so we selected a different wine and ordered an appetizer. After the appetizer arrived and we ate it (15 minutes or so), the waiter returned and asked if we would like to order dinner. My wife ordered the steak with crab & lobster on top -- I asked our waiter about two steak options and about the cut of filet mignon (small and tall, or wide and thin) -- based on his description of thicker cuts I ordered the small filet. While enduring a long wait for our meals, the staff clearing tables in the restaurant dropped silverware several times, which made the already loud environment even louder. When our food arrived another woman came and asked us to cut into our steaks to ensure they were cooked properly. We both ordered medium rare and my wife's was perfect but mine was barely pink in the center, so I pointed it out to the woman at our table. She offered to replace it but I told her I would try it and see if it tasted ok -- unfortunately she left the table and never returned, and when our waiter returned he simply said "I see everything arrived ok, let me know if you need anything else." This highlights one of the problems - were had 5-6 people come to our table -- rarely our waiter and the others only focused on their own responsibility. As we were leaving I realized they never even acknowledged we were there for a special occasion. I've eaten at other DFG, and I know the service and food can be good, but my experience in Atlanta tells me this location is not worth returning.
Service was great! Server recommendations were great! Food was delicious. Overall great time!
Ryan with an R was great!! The brunch options were good.
Amazing service and food! We got the philly cheese-steak eggs rolls, ribeye and truffle mac n cheese. Might be the best mac n'cheese I have had in Atlanta!
Our table was ready upon arrival and our waiter was outstanding.
The food was just fantastic and our server was really great.
Food was excellent and our server was great!
We had a very nice experience. Food was good - but we really went for their desserts!! I cannot recommend the lemon cake or the coconut creme pie highly enough!! We celebrated two birthdays and it was a lot of fun.
The manager Herbert gave us such a warm greeting when we entered, and passed the boton to Matt, our waiter who gave us exceptional service. The whole team made my best friend’s birthday dinner a wonderful experience. I will surely be back once I’m in Atlanta again!
A sad experience. The waitress was totally untrained and did not know how to post a ticket or serve. Our appetizers and salads never arrived. At least they were removed from the final ticket. Waited about an hour for the entrées. Poor training is not the waitress's fault. Management should be ashamed. Food was simply awful. I had the brick chicken. I think the kitchen confused the two and served the brick. My wife had the grits and scallops. Advertised to be flavored with a hint of pesto, but was some weird sweet sauce. This concoction should have never left the kitchen. You would think someone would have tasted this and dumped the entire batch of sauce. My son had the beef stroganoff. The short rib was acceptable, but the overcooked pappardelle pasta was not. At this price point you expect in-house, or at lease fresh pasta. Poor kitchen quality control. Poor management accountability. As we were waiting for our car we discussed our experience and a party of 4 gentlemen commented to us on their similar unacceptable experience. For a $254.02 ticket for 3, I can dine in a lot of nice restaurants in Atlanta. Extensive but pricy wine list. Nice décor. Horrible service and a bad kitchen won't cut it in the competitive Atlanta market. I am one and done! Suggest you read the other reviews. I wish I had done so.
Horrible experience won’t be back anytime soon!
In the past, I have really liked this place. We went for my friend's birthday, which was notated on the reservation. Nothing was said whatsoever. My steak was very good, but one of my friend's burgers was just average, and the chicken was somewhat dry. Angelica, our server, was very nice, but overall, I was very disappointed and embarrassed, since I had recommended this place for my friend's birthday dinner. We were also seated downstairs, and I realized it's much nicer to sit upstairs.
Brunch was amazing, the food was great and so was the staff. The only thing that could’ve been better was the white sangria and mimosa, they seem to be full of juice and not enough alcohol.
The servers were quite nice, and efficient. well, a little too efficient as one of them brought the check without asking whether I wanted dessert, not a big deal. But the steak was mediocre, the fries were luke warm and I asked for extra crispy. just not great for the price charged, and the name... not worth it. wouldn't go back nor recommend
Dinner for one at the bar. Ordered the ribeye and mashed potatoes and both were great!
Service was great, excellent wine selection and great for a business dinner.
Service was too slow. Food good but not quite expensive for what you get (from a French perspective at least). Noisy.
Took over 2 hours to receive our food. At least 1 1/2 hr fro appetizer until warm bread. Just crazy . Restaurant wasn’t even that busy
When Steaks came - was this weird, uncooked pink mush of not fresh meet
Shocked and embarrassed to have taken good customers there
Stopped in with my Fiancé for our Sunday lunch!
The hostess wasn’t too interested in being at work that day. She wasn’t rude, but she wasn’t hospitable either. She never smiled. Very dry.
The bartender was hustling to take care of her guests. She was attentive and served us fast as we waited 30 minutes for a table WITH a reservation.
Asia, our server was great! She smiled, gave great suggestions and was extremely attentive to all of her tables.
We started with the deviled eggs. They were good and fresh! I had the Prime Burger. It was just ok. The bun could have been softer or Brioche instead.. (felt and tasted like a focaccia) . Nothing memorable about the actual burger patty. I added the “Sloppy Sauce” which helped with the flavor.
Added truffle fries and they were disappointing. Potatoes were cut way too small and fries tasted old.
My fiancé had the fish tacos .. they were good.
I finished with the Nutella Pudding.. it could use some SERIOUS work.
It was more like a SUPER thick muffin with ice cream on top than a pudding. And lacked texture.
Do yourself a favor- Start over with that one!
Drinks were good! Beer cold and martinis were creative.
There was dirt on the floor next to our seats .. seemed like the area hadn’t been swept in a couple of weeks. Dust pile the corners and old sugar wrappers were scattered about.. the lady’s restrooms needed serious attention...- WHERE IS MANAGEMENT HERE?
Amazing atmosphere I choose the Lenox location after visiting the one in D.C and the food was amazing it’s a great vibe and not expensive
Simply Always Amazing !
Amazing food and service
The appetizer avocado beignets were good. The shave prime rib sandwich was out of this world yummy. Loved it
Great experience upstairs. First time and would comeback.
Hostess was absolutely amazing! I hate that I didn’t get her name to give her a personal shout out. It was a busy night and she absolutely went above and beyond to accommodate us. We were wanting a table to watch the NCAA tournament and she let us go to several tables to find one with the perfect view of a tv. The wait staff was friendly and very attentive to us. Food was delicious.
The restaurant is awesome, the only problem we had was slow service, but that was to be expected because it was Easter weekend and they were BUSY! The staff did a great job of keeping us updated.I will be back on a not so busy night.
Awesome experience from seating to departure
We were visiting from NY and weren’t sure where to go. I came across Del Frisco’s Grille on Open Table and knew it would be a good choice for us. The service was wonderful and our server was amazing. Although they don’t have a children’s menu, they will accommodate children with no problem. My children are not picky eaters, but our server explained that they could make something child friendly for them if needed. We would definitely go back again.
Food came out late. Steak salad was less that average. Server was aloof. Brought out extra app we didn’t order. At least 4 broken glasses during meal around restaurant. Will not recommend.
Had a reservation and waited 1.5 hours to be seated from the reservation time. Manager offered to comp some of meal at outset but did not do so when the bill came. Poor management of tables. Good for a drink at the bar, that's it.
I dined here for a late lunch after picking up my wedding dress nearby. We were seated promptly but next to a very loud and obnoxious group. Thankfully, they left midway through our meal. Our waitress Raina was PHENOMENAL! She was very nice, patient, and joined in on our conversation which was great! She even hand wrote me a congratulatory card and brought out a complimentary slice of cake! What an exceptional experience she made it for us.
Went for brunch on a Sunday. Seating was quick (had reservation), service was a bit slow. Food was average for me - had red velvet waffles and eggs. Not horrible but nothing to really rave about.
Nice restaurant and great food! I was definitely recommend the place.
Our server Courtney was fantastic! All of the food was delicious. I got the scallops and my husband got the NY strip. It was a great evening out.
Food was great but very expensive ($9 for asparagus side that I thought came with the steak). It’s pretty loud. It was fun, though! Would go back for sure!
Service was lacking. Sat with empty water glasses. Had to find waitress to get the check. Food was excellent and we will try it again & hope the service improves.
I blame management for the following comments - you need to train your staff immediately on good customer service! 1. On a Friday night we were seated at a 4 table top, when there 3 booths open behind us. The next 2 groups got sat immediately in the booths. 2. We asked the hostess could we change she said yes pointed to a table and walked away. No offer to help us move just left. 3. When we were initially seated, no one addressed us for ten minutes. Our to-be server, went to two other tables, she was servicing, but never even looked at us to acknowledge us. When she finally addressed us, she would disappear for times up to ten minutes before we would see her again, (the restaurant was not crowded at all) Her customer service skills were very poor, and again I blame the management. 4. No one from management (including the hostesses) never came out to our table to display any cust service skills. When I go to the mens room, I see what appears to be the manager and the hostesses having a good old time laughing and joking among themselves - why aren't they talking to their customers - what a poor excuse for hospitality! 5. Why are the servers bussing tables? 6. the only inch of excellent customer service came from a food runner (dark-skinned black woman with short hair) who could not find our table at first, but apologized and talked to us making sure we were okay. - hats off to her! The rest of the staff sucks and should be ashamed for disgracing the DelFriscos brand with their unprofessionalism! never going there again!
Food was good, but found the service to be very disappointing. Server was not knowledgeable about the menu, was not nearly attentive enough, required flagging down a time or two, and did not seem to "get" how to be a server in an upscale environment. I suspect she is new to upscale dining and hope she improves with experience.
Love Del Friscos but this one is a loser. Almost peed myself as a waitress was in the men’s room on the phone for 10 minutes. That started it. Wine pour was four ounces instead of at least six. Steaks served lukewarm and unseasoned. The ribeye was tough and clearly no better, maybe worse, than supermarket quality. We had asparagus and broccoli both unseasoned and tasteless. All that and the wait staff were poorly dressed and covered in tattoos. Not what we expect for a $200 tab. Maybe it being a “grill” means lower priced menu items, lower class and a high end meat market for the lonely crowd. Either way a much better meal for $25 a person can be found elsewhere. The valet was very nice.
