Great experience. Waiter was somewhat overbearing.
HORRIBLE FIRST-ONLY IMPRESSION! I choose this for my fiance's bday dinner it was our first time. We arrived about 10 minutes early and didn't have a problem waiting for our resv time. We quickly noticed two groups waiting for reservations. One a birthday dinner with resv's made 7 weeks ago the other a group of six. Both groups were very upset that their resv's were not being accommodated. The hostess had a nonchalant attitude towards everyone and was not welcoming at all. At one point she shrugged and told us there was nothing she could do we just had to wait. One group left eventually and the other"made it work" while speaking with mgmt seeing the bday girl so upset. Our resv time has passed at this point and we are also waiting for table to open up. We FINALLY get seated and all I can think is wow this food must be great!. We're seated at a booth with the most NON-romantic BRIGHT WHITE light I can possible think of. Our waitress brings us water, we review the menu, we order cheese-steak egg rolls. My fiance orders his steak well done with sides and we wait. Appx 20 mins later, a server walk past to what looked like the exact meal he had ordered. About 10 mins later the booth behind us informs their waitress that this steak does not belong to them and was just dropped off by someone. The steak is moved and we notice our waitress- who we had only seen for water and to take our order at this point- with another server arguing over the steak and computer screens. The steak goes to the back and up pops mgmt. He informs us there was a mix up a new steak was being prepared to be out- as soon as I a inform him that we are ready to leave a server shows up with a steak. Now I'm not a chief but I know a well-done rib-eye steak takes longer than 5 mins to cook. We look at the steak and noticed its burnt. This was the same steak just thrown back on the grill with a splash of water. Disgusting and insulting. We practically ran out of there. We will never return or recommend.
We got a noisy booth on 1st floor next to bar. Appetizers tuna taco and mushroom flatbread was good.
After a long wait our food showed up cold. We sent it back and then sides cold. Rib eye was ok prime rib did not taste good.
Overall, nice location, lousy food, bad service and way overpriced.
We redeemed open table points for this dinner and very disappointed.
Won't go back and don't recommend unless you like bad, overpriced food!
The staff were professional and the atmosphere was hip and fun
My waiter was great and extremely attentive. The food was delicious. No complaints what’s so ever
I have eaten at Del Frisco's in New York many times, and I have never been disappointed. So I was eager to try this restaurant out in my home town. It has a great location in the heart of Buckhead by the Mandarin Hotel. The layout of the dining room was a little odd, but the décor was nice and it was not too loud for us to talk. The appetizers were a great start. In particular, the open-faced philly-cheese steak egg roll with sweet and sour sauce was brilliant...easily the most interesting thing I have eaten in some time. But Del Frisco's signature is steaks. My wife and I both ordered a filet. I ordered mine Pittsburgh style but with a medium temperature. My wife ordered hers medium plus. Since my wife ordered a steak slightly more done than medium, they (without asking) butterflied her steak and served it really thin like an Applebee's sirloin special. It was well past medium well (if not well done), and certainly not worth its price tag. As for my steak, I don't think the chef even knew what Pittsburgh style means (although interestingly my server did). It was served medium well (over done), and there was less sear than if it was cooked straight-up in an oven from the start. There was no butter used in cooking it, and no seasoning. I could tell it was a very nice cut of meat, but the cook on it was utterly disappointing for $50. I didn't make a fuss about it or send it back, but the server could tell it was not cooked properly and comped my dessert without me asking or even complaining. The service was great, and this should have been a good meal. But when you charge that much for steak, it simply has to be better. I can think of at least a dozen steak restaurants in Atlanta that are far, far superior and have never botched a fine cut of meat like that (much less two of them). Sadly, my future visits will have to be limited to the New York location.
Quality of prime rib was not as high as I’d like given the price. Filet was very good. Wine glass serving was noticeably short. Service was attentive.
Enjoyed the steak!
Excellent dining experience. Loved the crab cakes. Excellent dessert menu.
Our Valentine’s Day date was AMAZING. The staff was so friendly and the food was to die for.
Our Valentine’s Day dinner was awesome! We started with the cheesesteak egg rolls, and WOW, they were amazing! Our order consisted of filet mignon with asparagus, prime ribeye with mashed potatoes, and a great bottle of Cabernet. I will definitely come back!
Had a great night for my wife’s valentine birthday. Annette, Victoria ,Ryan and Herbert made for a special night filled with great food and better service.
Poor service except manager
The special wagyu was very grissly and the other steaks were cold.
Very good all around experience. I will be coming back often.
