Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse - Atlanta
At the forefront of the Park Center development at the intersection of Hammond Dr. and Perimeter Center Pkwy., our restaurant is located near Atlanta’s Perimeter Mall.
This was our first time at del frisco’s. I’ll start by saying that the dry aged steak we had was phenomenal. We absolutely loved that. The service was on the slow side and my drink had to be remade a couple of times. One of our sides didn’t come until after we were done eating, but our server was Apologetic and took it off our bill without question. We heard that the staff was new so this could have very well been why service was a little rocky while they are working out new kinks. The steak alone is reason enough for us to give it another try soon!
They were about 15 minutes late seating us from reservation time, not the end of the world on a Saturday evening. Tried to order Oysters to start but they were out, wanted to share a Porterhouse, but they were out( was also advised Lamb Chops were sold out too). We settled on the Filet Special that was supposed to be served with a Lobster and Scallop topping, they brought the filet plain and we had to ask for topping which they ended up bringing 10 minutes later on a small plate. Au Gratin potatoes were ok, cream corn tasted like a box of salt. It’s too bad they can’t figure things out, the location in New York is one of my favorite places to eat but unfortunately will not be going back to this one
Awful service. I explained to the hostess, waiter, and 2 managers how important the evening was. I tipped the waiter at the begging of the meal.
The restaurant staff made it clear that we were not welcome. Our server all but ignored us.
My husband hosted a work event at the restaurant for 25 people or more earlier in the year. Despite this, we were treated horribly.
We will not return.
Having been to Del Frisco’s several times before, it has become aware that there seems to be a decline. My wife and I haven’t ate there in over a year and the last time we did my wife’s lobster was barely cooked. Now they corrected the issue but again this evening we waited almost a half hour over our reservation time. We even arrived before our reservation was scheduled. They obviously were experiencing timing & congestion issues but after finally being seated and ordered our food her sea bass was under cooked like the lobster. I don’t see us returning in the future any time soon. The service was fine and the Real House Wives ambiance was nice people watching with slightly cartoon looking folks scurrying about was interesting.
The service on Saturday night was really slow. Drinks took an extraordinarily long time to receive. I don’t think they had enough people working because we couldn’t find our server to order drinks or food in a timely manner. The food tasted good, but for the price you pay, it should! I will not visit again.
We had to wait 15 minutes for any server to come to our table. Finally ordered a round of drinks. Another 15 minutes passed and were never asked for our order, or even if we wanted an appetizer. A "manager" approached our table and I told him about the very slow service. This did have a positive reaction and I admit the service was much better after I voiced my displeasure. The food is very over-priced. It is not bad, but if you are paying this type of money, there are much better choices than Del Frisco's. I ordered the 22oz bone-in rib-eye, which I believe listed on the menu at about $60. It was not a $60 steak. We tried Del Frisco's twice in Buckhead and now this new location in Dunwoody. It will be my last time at Del Frisco's.
I believe they need more workers in every area from the host stand to the kitchen to the servers. Service was slow. Food was good but did not equal other steak houses in the area. I think our server was trying hard but he had too much to handle.
The waitress was great as she could be regarding the circumstances, even though she clearly being spreader very thin. She still showed much customer service and professionalism. The conflicting part about our experience was that it took over a hour and a half to get our entree. No matter how many smiles they gave they just could not get our food out in time. Due to us having prior engagements we had to have our food boxed up and ready to go without even tasting it. Leaving a bad taste in my mouth for the restaurant. Everything else was great however the daunting question was why did the family that sat next to us, sit down after us get there food before us. A question no one could answer.
The atmosphere was very nice. Our seafood tower was awesome. But from there on it went downhill. Although the Atlanta location has been around for over a year it felt like they just opened in that the waitstaff looked and acted disoriented and brand new. They would bring food out from the kitchen to the wrong table. It was so bad that during our dessert a runner brought out an appetizer to our table. It could not have been more obvious that we were eating dessert and the appetizer was not ours. As they say, common sense it’s not common. I could understand it happening once but as I mentioned my wife and I watched it happen time and time again.
The food was just Ok for the price. My father-in-law raves about the Del Frisco’s location in NY so we figured let’s give the place a try. I think Mckendricks steakhouse is a much better meal for the price.
This was our 3rd time dining and a total disappointment. The server had no personality, which I can live with but we consistently had to ask for empty glasses and dishes to be removed to make room for the next course. My husband ordered the porterhouse and 15 min after we placed our order they informed us they were out of that cut so we had to wait another 30-40 min after he re-ordered his meal for all of our main courses to come out. We were a party of 4, it was my parents first visit and my husbands birthday. After I shared my experience with a manager after our first course I insisted that I did not want any deductions from our bill, only the service that we were accustomed to. The service never got better and I watched the manager speak with our server and his attitude was even flatter afterwards. My husband actually wanted to settle the check after cocktails and the appetizers and go to Fleming’s where we ALWAYS have stellar service. Sadly, with all the other options here in Atlanta we will not be returning here under any circumstances.
The food & waiter were great!! The host at the front had a bad attitude and skipped over our reservation.
We we waited 15 minutes before we were served water after we asked for it. We requested lemon and a straw four times before it was brought. The food was lukewarm. The waitress was not service oriented and did not ask how the meal was or if we wanted anything else. We waited 1 hour before the food was served. The waitress was not service-oriented. Not worth it for $200.
This is a good place to get a Dry aged steak. Make sure to order the Thick Cut Bacon as an appetizer
Loved it...tge food, the waiter, the place...everything was great...we can't wait to go again...im still talking about it...
Waiter was great and we were all very happy with our meals and the overall experience. Hostesses were great too. The bar tending service was incredibly slow, however, both before and after our meal and the bar wasn't busy at all - stood out as the only part of the experience that was sub-par. That's the only thing we'd improve. We'll return again.
Great food and very attentive staff- well done!
I think we possibly had a new server. It was kind of disappointing for our first time and we heard so many good things. Its disappointing because I'm a local restaurant manager
Took forever to get our food...several times and with each course.
Great service from the moment I came in. Lunch is a great time to go.
The dining experience was awesome. The service was excellent. The steak was phenomenal and the mac & cheese was to die for. I love the ambience.
Food was excellent, service is top notch
There was a fire and it was so loud no one moved when alarms went off . It was t until someone told us to leave the building . Unfortunately we did not even get to order our main course only appetizer. P
Took my boyfriend here for his birthday. Customer service was exceptional. Our server, Lauren, was attentive, kind, and very professional.
The food, however, was sub par. Our side of asparagus was okay. My boyfriend had steak and I had salmon, both were very salty. He sent his steak back and requested lightly seasoned salmon instead.
The dining experience ended abruptly with the fire alarm going off and mandatory evacuation of the restaurant. My boyfriend’s salmon entree had just been served moments prior, so he’d only taken one bite. We waited outside for 20 minutes but the fire alarm issue was still not resolved. We had a 9:00pm show to catch so we were not able to finish dinner or do birthday dessert. Aside from the customer service experience, the birthday dinner at Del Frisco’s was disappointing.
I have been hesitant to return after low inspection score. However the food and service is the best it’s been in awhile.
They were out of many dishes. No remorse.
New Year’s Eve
I have hosted a business event here and hosted several business and personal lunches and dinners and the food is always excellent. Jamie, our server, is always very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend it for either occasion.
My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary and he’s a foodie he said the food was amazing. I loved the food as well. The service was the best we’ve ever experienced. We will definitely be back very soon. Our friends and family loved it as well.
What a Steakhouse is meant to be like. The Standard no doubt. Excellent as always!
We had our Christmas dinner here. The food and atmosphere was great. Our server however was dry and not informative of the specials. He was polite but could’ve been more interactive.
Understaffed. Steaks were good but not worth leaving the more established Buckhead steak houses. The name alone will not make this restaurant successful in Atlanta.
It was Christmas Eve and rather busy. Our waiter paid very little attention to our party.... Drinks took a long time and second order wasn't even correct. One of the steaks came out very rare when ordered medium well, sent it back and it took forever to come back..... basically boxed it to go at end of meal.
Absolutely the worst experience at a pricey restaurant my family has ever had.
1) After standing in the lobby for about 4 minutes, the hostess finally arrived and asked, has anyone helped you. Really?
2) Server didn't know the menu, could not answer questions items on the menu, and took 15 minutes to get us water. Drinks came for the 5 of us, in 3 different trips. The last glass of wine took so long, we had to get the manager.
3) 4 out of 5 of us didn't finish our meals. Took them home for the dog.
Mind you, there were only 5 tables occupied. Better cuts of meat at Outback Steakhouse.
I would love to hear from the manager.
Benjamin was attentive and he made some great suggestions for us- we appreciated it.
Great service. Lunch specials were excellent. Ordered the bread pudding over ice cream. Bread pudding was supposed to be hot, it was colder than room temperature. Sent it back. Replaced with one that was room temperature. They obviously comped the desert but still. The waiter tried to explain away by referring to kitchen issues.
Great ambiance with high quality service. The food is pricey, but worth the occasional experience.
