Made reservations for 4 @8:30pm on 12/15. And didnt get seated until 9:15pm. It was our frist time there but questioned the purpose of making resveration. Then after waiting we were seating on the 2nd floor in a room that felt like a hotel banquet room. I took my wife out that evening for her birthday with the impression that we would be seated out in the main floor where all the energy was at. 9:30pm rolls around and we had to order our drink, appetizers and meal due to the wait and because we were pressed on time. 10:05 we receive our meals and 2 of the steaks were not cooks to our specifications. One thing I dont understand if that they are know for their steaks but yet we are asked to cut into the steak to make sure its cooked to our desired specifications.
Once all the steaks were out on the table we had to stop eating out meal so that we would be able to enjoy them with the 2 sides that we missing (Which I believe we left out and were never ordered). By the time everything was out on our table, one of our guest had to rush and eat what we had to get to our next reservation.
The waiter was polite and sympathetic of the issue. But this experience has made us question ourselves if we will ever return.
We are familiar with dining at Del Frisco’s but this was not a good experience for our daughters college graduation. The steaks were all under cooked and had to be sent back. The sides were all cold and they did provide new sides once the steaks were at the correct temperature. The servers were excellent in dealing with the problems brought on by the kitchen. Just not what we expected from a trusted restaurant for such a celebration. Sorry Del Frisco’s but Pappas Bros and Capital Grill are far better for the money.
Waited 20 min beyond reservation time.
Waited 45 min after ordering to get food.
Steaks good but not cooked
Took home so I could cook properly
The worst experience I’ve ever had in dining!
I’ve only had two bad experiences with establishments thus far.
The waitress and food-perfect
The two other staff members - horrible
Full review on Yelp since OT has character limitations
We moved to the area in June, and this is our favorite restaurant in DFW thus far. Great food, cocktails, service and atmosphere. Can't really get much better than that. We'll be back soon!
We had the absolute best dinner! I’m still telling people today about how delicious my lobster tail was.
Our waiter, Michael, took great care of us! He brought us each a glass of champagne to celebrate our anniversary.
Everything started out well. However, the poor rating is for two reasons... #1 : the servers who brought our steaks essentially threw our plates down in front of us (and we were served each other’s plate) and we mentioned this at the onset with no response so we reached out to switch plates and SEARED our fingers! The plates were so unbelievably scalding hot. It is reasonable to surmise that the reason the plates were dumped down in front of us and delayed in being moved was because the few layers of cloth that the poor servers had protecting their own fingers was in and indeed they were being burning themselves. One of the managers (Anthony) on duty was very professional and appropriate in his response and resolution (Which was limited as the damage was done). Our waitress (who was innocent in the process) was very sweet. The second reason for the one star is the GM Gina ; her manner in which she responded the next day when my husband called to share his concerns was shockingly inappropriate, especially in contrast to Anthony. She had a distinct “smile” to the sound of her voice and clearly non caring in her responses (actuseemed annoyed) . She is NOT an asset to this establishment. Her response was “all our plates are hot” (as if we , as first timers to Del Frescos, —-NOT to 4-5 star steak houses... would “know” that) . Just very unprofessional. Needless to say we lost sleep that night and ruined our trip to Dallas for the weekend due to throbbing fingers . Such a same. Maybe they need the servers to wear obvious oven mitts to send the message to patrons the plates are HOT. This is definitely not a child friendly environment.
We had the Sea Bass and a Prime NY Strip. The food and the presentation was exquisite. The same can be said for the atmosphere. But Louis, our waiter, made the evening. We were pressed for time, heading to a play. He was timely. Drove the Kitchen to our absurd time line. Recommended some fantastic drinks based on our tastes. He was fabulous. The only negative was the check in procedure. We had a 6:15 p.m. reservation. We were caught in traffic. Phoned ahead to advise the staff. We arrived at 6:20 p.m. We weren't checked in until 6:28 or so. We weren't seated until 6:50 and had to be out by 6:40 p.m. there just shouldn't be that much confusion at check in. I would have given a 5 star rating had it not been for the check in process. It required too much of my time to negotiate through it and we very well may have missed our meal if it wasn't for Louis's attention to our needs.
Marvelous evening. Steaks where great, beautiful wine selection and our service was wonderful.
Great steaks cooked to perfection. The chocolate desert was a let down and the service not quite as good as the last time. Mac and cheese didn’t meet my expectations. I’ll go back, it just had super high standards to live up to from our last visit.
not the Del Friscos I remember and enjoyed. Had to wait over 1 hour beyond our reservation time, no seating during wait. Loud heaving drinking bar crowd not suitable for a professional business dinner. Felt more like a sports pickup bar than a fine dining restaurant. Will not return. Headed to Bobs Chop House or Old Warsaw.
Made a reservation and were still waiting 1 hour 15 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. We left and went to another restaurant. Hostess kept telling us “a few more minutes” and that turned into 1 hour 15 minutes plus.
Very loud, which is not my preference. Service was a bit slow at times - they got hit w/ a rush. Not enough to limit my return but a bit surprising b/c the server was terrific, I think he got too much at once.
An experience unlikely to be duplicated anywhere else. Outstanding all the way!
This is a great dining spot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fabulous dinner with great friends and awesome service!
Exellent service and great food. My favorite restaurant!
Very nice place will be coming back
Even with reservations, we waited for 45 min to get a table, other than that everything was great
A great experience as always!
As usual, a great steak dinner with fantastic side dishes and wonderful cocktails!
The meal and service were absolutely over the top! A definite do over!!
Overall it’s what you’d expect from a Del Frisco’s. The service was first rate, presentation and ambiance were first rate. Unfortunately our steak was just “ok”, and that was quite a surprise. Might have been an off night. I’d never stop going, but it was slightly disappointing
I selected this location for a holiday dinner with clients and was not disappointed. The service and food were both excellent. The restaurant is beautiful and the noise level was moderate, which allowed us to have good conversation. The flow of the dinner was perfect, not rushed but not having it drag out either. We enjoyed a great meal in a wonderful atmosphere.
Always great for business lunch and is great to see Gina. Definitely the go to for Uptown and Downtown.
You want to kno what its like to be rich go here. I had a great time and can't wait to feel rich again.
This place is always amazing and the food is always exceptional!
Made a reservation for 7:30 and got seated right away. The lighting from the ceilings on to the booths was almost blinding (on one side). We tried a couple more booths and they were all the same. I ordered a glass of wine that was served using a Coravin so they didn’t have to open the bottle. They ran out of the cartridge for the Coravin and ordered one. It took around 30 min to get my glass of wine but they were friendly about the inconvenience so wasn’t the end of the world. Service was decent (it was a slower Saturday night with no wait; she was scarce a few times throughout dinner but other servers were happy to step in and help. Food was absolutely AMAZING! I had the bone-in ribeye and my husband had the bone-in strip; both were incredible flavor and perfectly cooked. Overall was a nice night and we will most likely add this to our restaurant rotation. Oh and management was beyond kind and helpful!
This was the first time eating at the Uptown location. The server we had was the same person we have ad at the SpringValley location couple of times. Everything was perfect. We have never had a bad or even an average dining experience at Dels. Like always, the service was exemplary, the food was perfect, and the atmosphere was excellent.
This restaurant never disappoints! Food and service was amazing. Always look forward to coming back...
Clancy was a great! Very personable and patient! Our dinner was delicious! The cream corn should run for President and I confident it would win!
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dîner. Service was great ans food delicious.
What a great Thanksgiving experience. The entire staff was super friendly. Turkey was delicious! We made our reservation last minute and still got a great table. The ambience is warm and friendly. Area is decorated beautifully and bartenders are very nice . This may become our "hang out" place since it's a 5 minute walk away. We loved it!
As always great food and service. Really like the new Pineapple upside down cake.
Our family went there for Thanksgiving Dinner. Restaurant offered a set turkey-dinner menu and the regular menu. People ordered from both menus. Food, service, and ambiance was absolutely excellent. And our waiter was very attentive. Definitely worth going back for any occasion.
The only thing that happened was our entres came before our salads.
He took those off tho. He also caught my daughter who slipped on the floor to the restroom!
We went for Thanksgiving as we wanted a place that offered their full menu as an option to the traditional prix fix feast.
As appetizers (for 2) we had the Ahi Poke and the Crab Cake. Outstanding! My date had the Salmon for his main and I had Seared Ahi. We also ordered a side of Mash Potatoes.
My Ahi was BY FAR the absolute best I have EVER had on the planet!! It was a HUGE prime cut that was so fresh and was as tender as butter! My date's Salmon was equally as delicious! And the potatoes?? They brought a MOUND of scrumptious REAL skin on mashed potatoes! We couldn't even finish them all!
This was the BEST Thanksgiving meal I've ever had and it's great to know I can get it any time of year!
This place is VERY pricey (drinks cost close to $20 each) and our entrees were about $50/each so just keep that in mind....
