We have dined at Del Frisco's many times. This is the second time in a row that the restaurant was freezing. It was beyond air conditioning blues. All of our table including tables next to us wore coats the entire meal. When we inquired we were told that the person in charge wasn't there on time to put the heat on. It would get better. Nope. Our server was very good about it and tried to make the dinner as comfortable as possible as it was a birthday celebration. Also, septic truck was parked at the front door with a hose down the steps upon our arrival. Not a great impression or smell. Hostesses did not seem to care about the embarrassing odor or site and moved as slowly as possible to get us away from it and seat us.

We had visitors from Europe with us and we went for a late lunch.....service was great, quite in the restaurant so we had privacy and an enjoyable time. Even though the lunch rush was gone and this was down time for them we still were treated great.

Del Frisco's was very good. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding, as they listened to requests (we were having a business meal, so we wanted our meal paced out to allow for discussion) and modified their approach to fit our needs. My biggest complaint is that the prices have gotten to be way too steep. The cheapest steak is around $40. i think the chicken dishes were still in the under $30 range, but this isn't a chicken restaurant. You can't get out of this restaurant for two people with a bottle of wine, steak, one side, and a salad for under $200 without going cheap with your waiter. So if you have money to burn, Del Frisco's is awesome. It is a business meal type of place unless you have a per person restriction.

Filet was great (as usual), first time trying the crabcake and was not disappointed! I recommend the spinach side and the lobster Mac n cheese! Drinks were great as well. Service was very good too! Matt served us well and gave us room to breathe while we looked over the menu and was on point with the timing of bringing out the plates. Great time!

I was in Philadelphia with my family and an important part of every trip we take is eating at a local top shelf steak house.
Del Frisco's was excellent, I had the Double Eagle and it was great! My wife and kids thoroughly enjoyed their steaks and we will make a point of going back.

I ordered the special Kansas City Double Eagle Strip (not on the menu). Wet and Dry aged, it was the juiciest, most flavorful steak I've ever had! I will recommend Del Frisco's to friends and return soon!

We arrived at 6:00, snd the place was not busy. Our server, Tom, was knowledgeable about the building and its history. He recommended a side dish selection, maux chou corn, which was delicious. Our coffee and water never were empty. The steaks were cooked to perfection. Because we mentioned we were celebrating our birthdays, Tom surprised us with a piece of cheesecake, complete with 2 candles.

As the evening drew on, and the restaurant filled up ,the noise level became high, and conversation became difficult.

All in all, very nice experience. Highly recommended.

I went here to celebrate my husbands birthday. The building is very cool to look at. The wine cellar was really interesting, along with the ceilings. We could only see I small part of it because our table was sitting directly next to the bar and behind a giant pillar. The tables are way too close together, as was the very small area people had to squeeze through to get around. The restaurant was the coldest restaurant I have ever been in. My husband was wearing a t-shirt, an Oxford shirt and a heavy sweater and he was still really cold. I was in a sleeveless dress and I should have kept my coat when they checked it at the door. I like steak houses, but this one seemed like a circus. It's not my preference.

I am never one to complain but feel compelled to comment. From the moment we were seated our service was very unattentive. It took several minutes for our drinks to arrive. After ordering our food, almost 45 minutes later, 3 of our 5 plates arrived. Typically you don't start eating until everyone is served. The unserved guests insisted we start when their food did not arrive for another 10 minutes. Awkward. We were rarely checked up on. My iced tea sat empty for quite awhile before a refill. Despite our bill being adjusted, the manager never approached us or apologized. For a restaurant of purported high quality, I was extremely disappointed. It is highly unlikely that I will return. Also, the restaurant was uncomfortably cold.

If want to eat at Philadelphia's premier restaurant look no further than del frisco's. Best steak in the city and the hot spot to run into the most famous celebs. The atmosphere alone with the high vaulted ceilings and historic building make it a no brainer for any occasion. Steak was delicious and so were the apps and desserts. Oh yeah, also ran into Shaquille o'neal and Morris Chestnut! Go there!

The "chain-ness" of this restaurant came through when we asked to swap-out the oysters on the $79 seafood-app-for-2 with anything but shrimp, which the waiter said was the standard replacement. We asked that the chef choose ANY other replacement item. (Carrot sticks would have been fine!) The app was delivered with the announcement that the chef would not consider a different option. Soon after, another diner's entree was delivered to our table. It was quickly whisked away, but I feel bad for whomever ordered that $55 piece of meat that made a pit stop at our table! The friendly, competent waiter was the only thing that saved the evening. Expected more from such an expensive restaurant.

I dont really have a major complaint but we had a 9pm reservation and didnt get a table until 920pm even though we arrived at 840pm. Also, table next to us was a little loud but they were some local celebrities so I guess we can give that a pass. They weren't rude, just a little loud with the post dinner goodbyes. Our food and server were excellent.

Del Friscos is the type of larger chain restaurant that relys on its name and is not overly concerned with producing the best dining experience possible. While the restaurant is gorgeous, perhaps its large size makes it more difficult to deliver a personal experience. Temperature control is also an issue leaving me quite chilly all evening. Service was inconsistent. While our server was genuinely enthusiastic and nice, we waited a long time to be greated, a really long time for our oysters (20-30 min), and we also waited longer than average for our main course. The food was very good but not outstanding/special and therefor a bit overpriced. For a $300+ meal for two I expect to be wowed and this was unfortunately not the case.

Crab cake appetizer was excellent although not hot when it reached the table. Fillet mignon cooked perfectly, no fat, and very tasty. Again, not hot when arrived at table. Baked potato arrived luke warm. Sent back and never received a replacement. Server tried to make amends by giving a free dessert. Long lapses where we wouldn't see our server. Seated in bar area which started out fine at 7pm. By 8pm, bar crowed was noisy and on top of our table. Not a pleasant experience. Made reservations well in advance too. Suggest you request a seat away from the bar unelss you enjoy the noise. Can't recommend. Also hostesses not friendly. NYC Del Frisco's was much more enjoyable. Food served hot. service was exceptional. NYC GM very nice too.

My family has enjoyed many special meals at this restaurant. This Sunday we went for dinner for no special reason other them wanting a fine meal. It was the first time I have ever had a slightly dry piece of meat served to me. However that was not my main complaint. The restaurant was freezing, now I am in love with being cold so for me to have been freezing takes work. My mom had to hold a glass of tee all the way through her meal. We asked our server and they tried to be accommodating. We were moved to a second table that did not help the situation much. We were also told that once they turn on the heat it takes days to heat the building. Let's hope they can do better because there food and service are usually second to none.

We were here several years ago, and we're wondering if it was still good. Not disappointed. Typical steak house food. I think they do it better than the other chains. We come for bone in rib eyes. Cooked to perfection. Crusty on the outside, very rare and screaming hot when it arrives at the table. As usual, sides are way to big. It makes you feel a little embarrassed when they arrive at your table with enough to feed 8 people.(there were two of us).
The room is beautiful, especially nice if you get a booth. Drinks were good, and wine was terrific. We'll be back.

I've tried most of the major steakhouses in Philly and Delfrisco's is my favorite. Great lunch deals - check them out. Fantastic food, great libations - what are you waiting for? Treat yourself to a great meal. The wine list is extensive (check out the wine tower) and the seafood is excellent. I have never been disappointed here.

Soup wasn't hot, service (although pleasant) was very slow - especially the delivery of our main course & after-lunch coffee drinks, and I was charged for an item we didn't order (or receive). While it was an enjoyable lunch, it took way too long. Quite frankly, I expect better - particularly given the price.

It's in an old bank and just gorgeous. I couldn't believe how much space and totally full. Our meal was excellent, steaks all around. Small complaint we "lost" our server at check time and had to wait 1/2 hour for someone to find her. Sounds worse than it was , we were talking anyway but if we had somewhere else to be would have been a problem.

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday, and we had a great experience. The wait staff was attentive and informative. The calamari appetizer was fabulous. I had to order without peanuts because of my allergy and the waiter was very conscious of that; even noted it when taking our dessert order. Our steaks were cooked to our liking and were tasty with every bite. Needless to say we had a great night, and it made the even special like I wanted it to be.
