The food was absolutely phenomenal (per usual). The seafood platter was something new we tried this year, and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT. However, the service was abysmal. Our reservation was for 7:30 and we did not get seated until 8:10pm. After the delay, which we spent at the bar, I was expecting immediate bread served at our table. It took another 30-45 minutes just for bread to be served, and our table was able to finish two bottles of wine prior to dinner being served (casual drinking). Due to lateness of food coming out (1.5 hours) it was no surprise that by the time our order made it to the table some of us were too intoxicated to truly enjoy the meal. In the future, quicker bread/appetizer/salad service would be appreciated in order to make up for an already delayed 40 minutes in our reservation. With all that said, can't wait to go back due to the quality of the food. The complaints are a result of paying top dollar for service that I expect from a dive bar on South St, not a steakhouse cornered in an old bank vault.
My boyfriend and I came in to celebrate his birthday. He had been a regular of the restaurant and I just started coming in with in the last year. As a former server of fine dining I loved the atmosphere and that’s why we chose to celebrate it at this establishment. After we were seated, our server approached us quickly and asked if we wanted something to drink. We didn’t get a wine list, so I ordered a pinot noir. It was later into the dining experience that I learned there were multiple pinot noirs by the glass, and she knew exactly which one I wanted without even asking. We didn’t catch her name, because she didn’t introduce herself. Neither did the other server that was taking care of us. We asked our first server about the specials for the evening, since it seemed like the bar table seating wasn’t privy to that information. The manager came by to check on us, but didn’t notice the empty glasses, since I had to practically grab her to ask her for another round.
The grilled octopus was delicious and so was the lobster mac & cheese. My ahi tuna steak was also great, eventhough my boyfriend mentioned his filet medallions were a little cold. We appreciated the complimentary birthday dessert with a candle.
The service usually is exceptional, but we were a little disappointed this time.
Meat is the menu and is well prepared. The onion rings are divine. Aside from that, the vegetables are a sad afterthought, the joint is noisy, the airconditioner is positively in working order(!), the managers have been instructed to interrupt your dinner conversation multiple times to ask how everything is (albeit earnestly and politely), you're immediately at an advantage to learn details about strangers as the tables are quite close, and please do not ask a bartender for change to give to the bathroom attendants - they are far too busy.
I would have done all 5 stars but I was disappointed in the wait. With a reservation, at such a high scale restaurant, our wait was still 1/2 hour or so. We were going to a show after, so things didn't go as planned. Aside from that --Amazing place! Definitely perfect for a special occasion:). Gorgeous place!! Spectacular food & impeccable service. Everyone in Philly should splurge & go here at least once.. $$$$
Wonderful experience until this disgruntled group sat next to us complaining about the wait time. They even got a discounted meal and still complained about management and staff. So rude & truly impacted my ability to have a good time. I felt so bad for the team at resturant.. Just did nothing for my overall experience

I had made this reservation through OpenTable, which I do quite frequently. The reservation was confirmed, via email, and I changed the time from 6:30 PM, to 6:45, due to heavy traffic. The confirmation email, stated the correct date. The hostess said, when we arrived, it was for "tomorrow." She found us a table, which didn't seem difficult, as the restaurant was not full. I looked at the email, showed the waitress, and then showed the hostess. Instead of saying " there must have been a mistake with the booking, she basically argued (pleasantly) that it was still for the next day. This is the first time this has ever happened with an OT reservation, and I would guess there was a "glitch" in your system. The food and service, however were very good. We would return.
Impressive venue situated in an old bank space. Staff is off the charts GREAT. We had a reservation for a table, but they were running behind so we ate at the cocktail tables. Our waitresses were incredibly professional and couldn't have been nicer. Kitchen seems to slow down the process because we were always attended to by everyone (including the manager). Highly recommend!
Have dined here many times before. Seems they are getting too comfortable. Seated 25 minutes after reservation time. Hostesses are ignorant. Seated in the vault among many large groups on uncomfortable chairs you would find at a banquet. I guess this is where they put the open table diners now. Conversation was difficult as there were at least 6 large tables all talking over one another. Waiter started out like gangbusters, but abandoned ship when the meal was served for at least 30 minutes, as he was focusing on his large tables. Everyone was served the wrong steak and after some discussion and confusion on the part of the food server, they finally got it right. My steak - the recommended bone in strip - was tasteless and overcooked. Like it sat in the oven warming. The shrimp cocktail was smothered in cocktail sauce so that was all you tasted. The crab cocktail, again, swimming in sauce - is there something to hide?
Took another 15 minutes to get the check, and was not brought an itemized check, just the credit card slip. As a rewards member, I sent my comments direct , but heard nothing back. Like I said, very comfortable.
Will be trying one of the eight other steakhouses in the city next time.
Every person who worked there was very friendly and accommodating.
Ginormous wine selection....Food was fantastic....
We were lucky enough to have been seated in the vault, it does get quite loud in there. One other thing to note is that it is a bit chilly in there, nothing an extra sweater can't fix. My husband and I are very much looking forward to our next visit. We love this place.
Very expensive but very good! This is a special occasion place, at least for my husband and I. For salads, my husband had the blue cheese and greens salad, and I had the Del salad. We loved them! The dressing on the Del salad is avacado, and it was so good! We then each had the 8oz filet. Mine was ordered Medium-Rare, and my husband's was ordered Rare. They were done to perfection. We shared a side of spaghetti squash with Parmasean cheese, which was yummy! Nicely done Del Friscos!

An amazing dining experience... the service was fantastic; our server was on-top of everything and even engaged us in conversation which was nice. The VIP cocktail is probably the best drink ever... highly recommend. The food was over the top good... dry-aged steaks are a little pricey, but well worth it. The BEST steak I've ever had. Great flavor and cooked to perfection. We celebrated our wedding anniversary... back to our server, she took note and surprised us with a delectable dessert sampler of their butter cake and chocolate cake. Such a great way to cap off an amazing dinner! Can't wait to go back...
