Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House - Philadelphia Ratings and Reviews
We were 6 people. They put us at a table that would have accommodated 8-10. We were so far apart that we couldn’t talk. When we asked for a smaller table, they said they were unable to move us. In the meantime, they left our food under a warmer. It was dry and cold. And, to add insult to injury, the coat checker could not find our coats when we were ready to leave. We were celebrating a special occasion with out of town guests. Our experience was embarrassing and disappointing. There are other steak houses in Philadelphia. Avoid Del Frisco
The food was absolutely delicious! I had the Chilean Sea bass, my husband had a Filet.
We split the Lobster Mashed potatoes, Ceasar salad and Tossed salad. I had 2 Martini's -which were perfect! We also ordered the lemon cake to go, very refreshing and delish!. The atmosphere was beaitufl, I loved that we sat in a booth my ourselves, very romantic. We were sat in a timely manner and our waiter was a sweatheart! I loved how they asked to take my coat. It was our Annivesary and we have 3 children so it was so nice to spend our evening there, Thank you for making our evening a spectacular and memorable event, We will most definitely be back. One of the best!!
The hosting station seemed a little out of sorts, but our server did a tremendous job, and the food was phenomenal.
When we were seated, I wasn't sure what to expect. Our proximity to the bar was a little more impersonal than I'd have liked for a special occasion, but any doubts were brushed away by the professionalism of our server and the quality of the food.
Steaks came at the temperature ordered, and the service comes with a quality check to make SURE you're happy with the steak when it arrives. Fantastic operation.
The end of my night was topped with a splendid chocolate mousse dessert and a 1977 Terrantez Xeres that absolutely took my breath away. Most importantly(!): my better half couldn't be happier with her experience.
Great operation here, great food prep, great service; when we come back next, I'll be more specific about my seating preference. Thanks for a fantastic Valentine's day dinner.
My Wife and I were referred this restaurant from friends who were guest once before. After seeing the pictures posted online from other customers and visiting the website, You could tell this restaurant takes very good care of what it owns and provides to each customer. I booked a reservation from the online website (which was very EASY). Being Valentine's Day I was a little nervous with booking online, but I got follow up emails saying that our reservation was coming up in a few short days (2). Which I thought was a GREAT friendly reminder to show confirmation.
Our reservation was at 1:15pm and knowing how busy restaurants are on V-day we wanted to just be sure we arrived early. At 12:50 we arrived, Gave my name and the host was very nice and was able to have us seated earlier than our reservation was for. We were walked to our table which by the way WOW this restaurant was Beyond spectacular with all the detail of stone pillars, the floor to ceiling wine rack. It's something to see! After being seated by the host, a young man walked over to inform us that our waitress will be right over to take care of us but he wanted to welcome us and see if we needed anything to drink from the bar while we wait. Very nice to be greeted multiple times by the staff (It made us feel more welcomed). Once our waitress came over She was Very Nice, explained everything that they had to offer (since it was our first time). Now for the FOOD!! It was by far the best steak we both have ever had. Cooked perfectly, seasoned better then I knew steak could taste without adding sauce. I was Surprised!! We both can't wait to visit again, which we will book a table online and look forward to another amazing dinner!
The restaurant looks amazing, ambiance was really nice. Servers and wait staff were very professional. Drinks seemed over priced but what else is new. I can't pronounce the dish I had (THICK-CUT NUESKE'S BACON AU POIVRE) but I promise you, if you get this you will never want regular bacon again. It is phenomenal. Steak was delicious and seasoned very well plus the sides were plenty and enough for 2. I definitely recommend this establishment
Another outstanding meal at Del Frisco's! The food and service are simply superb. The shrimp appetizer and bacon are packed with flavors and cooked perfectly. The steaks for our group of four were all cooked to the temperature requested. The cocktails and desserts are larger serving sizes - the lemon cake is wonderful. Everyone enjoyed the meal and our servers were attentive without being overbearing.
Took my daughter and a group of her friends out for her 32nd birthday. Everything was excellent. The Food, Service, atmosphere and the entire staff. Our waiter Nicoli was really great. Patient, informative and helpful. It was great to be able to sit and talk over a couple drinks before ordering and have a waiter that did not push to get the food to the table. We all had a great time. Everything about night was excellent.
Will recommend Del Frisco's to all my friends and business associates. Five Stars!!!
Steaks were excellent! Prepared perfectly. Salad was good despite the lettuce being tired and a bit limp. The beef carpacio was top notch. The Highlight for us was our bartender Ashley! On Suprebowl Sunday, when everyone in Philadelphia was wishing they were watching the game with friends and family, she took great care of us. She made a special day even better. If you go ask for her.
When I walked in the door - It took my breath away! Beautiful restaurant! Brie who showed us to our table was so friendly and welcoming and a wealth of knowledge. she told us all about the history of the place. The food was good, the service was ok - not what I would expect. I'm glad we went but it was very expensive and have had better at other restaurants. The atmosphere and the bar and the space made up for it.
