Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse - Philadelphia
We had Joseph as our waiter and we were not pleased at all with this service today. It was a birthday dinner for our group so we wanted to celebrate it. We asked if we could change tables because the one we went to was too small was us. I think this is a valid question for us to ask if we do not feel comfortable dining. It was a late dinner so my friend said we were ready for dessert after finishing entree. We weren’t demanding at all and my friend was saying it very friendly but Joseph looked very confused as if he didn’t understand? He was like “of course I would bring desserts after I clean up the table” as if we weren’t used to dining here at all. This was very unacceptable. Moreover, I requested and called if we could get candles or something for desserts and he came out with nothing. So I kindly told him that I called ahead and he was like ok fine I’ll get you candles. We did not want to tip AT ALL but thought it was courtesy to give at least. Either he was discriminating against us or he was in a bad mood, we don’t know. But if I’m going to be spending $200 at a restaurant, I am expecting much more.
Service was wonderful, always had a full glass of water.
Even with Restaurant week, and packed restaurant had a great time.
Great meal. Great experience
Del Frisco’s was one of the restaurants participating in Restaurant Week. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and seated in a matter of minutes. The person who took us to our table was very warm and friendly. Our waiter was the same. She explained their restaurant week menu, as well as their regular menu. The food was great, as expected, and our water made sure our needs were met. I was celebrating my girlfriends 21st birthday, and it is safe to say it was a memorable one!
Food was delicious, only complaint was the fact that we were informed that there wasn't any bread left, but then the manager said we would receive bread. Bread never came.
I enjoyed my visit to Del Frisco's Steakhouse. The Filet Mignon, Lobster Bisque, Mashed Potatoes and the Mushroom side dish and the Seasonal Salad were all excellent I would recommend Del Frisco's to family and friends The prices are rather high but Rerstaurant Week lowered the cost of some of the items. Still a delightful dining experience.
Del Frisco's was absolutely amazing. My husband and I both work in fine dining restaurants in center city, so we knew things would be a little different for restaurant week, but we were pleasantly surprised. We got the restaurant for an 8:30 reservation and they were a little backed up on tables, which we expected and was no problem. We happily went to wait at the bar. After one drink our table was ready and I cannot rave enough about the food and service. Our steaks were cooked absolutely perfectly, water and cocktails refilled almost immediately, it was wonderful. Despite the restaurant week craziness, Del Frisco's exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be back and I will be recommending Del Frisco's to anyone who will lend an ear!
Everything was excellent. Our food was perfect—the appetizers were well portioned, the steaks cooked exactly to temperature, and the desserts were decadent. Our waiter was phenomenally old fashioned. We wanted for nothing.
Good food as usual...need to get their hostess staff together. 7 o’clock reservation seated at 7:30, not good. Was called and forgotten about til we spoke up.
Excellent food and great atmosphere. Excellent choice for a date
Visited during restaurant week. The restaurant was packed! Food was ok. Filet Mignon was very good. Would have been nice to have a side of veggies/greens in addition to masked potatoes. Cheesecake was just ok. Service was excellent. We had a nice time!
My friends and I came for restaurant week. Most of us have never been to Del Frisco’s before. We had a great meal and agreed we would return again. Regular prices are a bit out of my budget, but I’ll look into happy hour specials.
Food and service were outstanding. Purposely chose lunch time because I wanted to try the blue cheese meatloaf and I was not disappointed.
Went for lunch during restaurant week. Food and drinks were awesome. Great spot to go for lunch or dinner.
The food was great. However the service wasn't so great. When we asked about checking out coats we were told to take them with us even though there is a coat check. Where we where seated was freezing cold. Our drinks we're never refilled.
Excellent Restaurant Week meal with friends! Filet was the best I've ever had!
Very good as always
Always great service! The food is always amazing. Our waiter was very attentive and met all of our needs. The manager did an excellent job as he checked on the tables. I am never disappointed when I dine here!
I understand that its was restaurant week and the menu being much less expensive than regular weeks, but I did not expect the quality of the food to be less delicious. My steak was good, provided I sliced off the top - it was seasoned a bit heavily with salt -actually, to the point where I could no longer eat it. The potatoes seemed like they were left-overs and plopped onto the plate - maybe they needed a bit more milk. Anyway, another issue was when we asked the waiter about wine - we were drinking the house wine we got at the bar and asked if he had any recommendations. He did, and we went with his suggetion. Imagine our surprise when we got the bill and our wine was $25 per glass. It wa not wine that was worth anywhere need $25/glass - that was just wrong of him to do that - or is that the policy of the restaurant? I hate being taken advantage of. I feel that we deserved the courtesy of being informed ofthe price when we asked.
Your restaurant is beautiful, however I won't be going back again. When others ask about it, I will surely tell them of my experience and let them decide. Philadelphia has many good steak houses, I won't say yours is not good, but I will forewarn them about the lack of price information.
The restaurant was very nice and worth every penny. I will definately be dining there again.
I was so excited to return to DelFrisco’s as my last visit was amazing. To my surprise this visit makes me never want to return again. The hostess was very rude, the salmon had no seasoning just a plate of butter, the cheesecake was too fluffy, and the Caesar salad was kind of dry. The waiter was the best part of the experience, as he was just as kind and pleasant as can be.
Nice date. Not as nice as I hoped. Steak wasn’t as great as I have had before. Still a good overall experience
My steak came out too rare. The manager asked if there’s anything they could do? I asked for a glass of wine. Still charged me. All in all, great food.
I have been to this restaurant many times.
It is always outstanding.
My mistake was going during restaurant week.
The place was so cold I wish I hadn't checked our coats in.
The other couple didn't and actually ate diner with them on.
It was so crowded that the doors were constantly opening.
Not a problem in the summer but when the wind chill is in the 20's it changes things.
I believe the restaurant made up for the discounted food by completely over booking.
Sat down at 7 PM and was out by 8:10 PM.
Could not stand the cold and the noise.
I went for restaurant week and had the filet. It was amazing and so were the potatoes that came with it but I wish it came with a vegetable as well. The chocolate mousse dessert was also amazing! Would def come back here.
Delicious mean with top notch service.
I went here for restaurant week. The filet was amazing and so was the cheesesteak dumplings! John, who was our server, was amazing and friendly !
The food and atmosphere were amazing. The servers go above and beyond. Wonderful experience.
the food and service was amazing and exactly what I wanted the way I wanted
This was my first time at this restaurant. I was there to celebrate my birthday that day. Once all of my party arrived we were seated immediately. The ambiance was good, the staff were friendly even though it was a busy night. The food was delicious!! I will definitely be back soon.
As usual Del Frisco’s was amazing. Our waiter was great! So attentive and funny. Brought me my birthday dessert. The food tasted so good! A very lovely evening with friends.
It was a great experience
I think it personally wasn't for me. The meatloaf was subpar. The salmon was delicious but the sauce wasnt needed. The lobster bisque was great. The mashed potatoes was great as well. Loved the service and ambiance. Just dont feel it was worth the effort of going there.
I had hair in my food and it took the staff three times to cook my steak to my preference. I’ve been to many steakhouses and I have never had this type of experience. I will not be going back.
The only problem my guest and I experienced was the long wait in getting our meal served, which made our return back to work late.
Yes would recommend, am coming in again next week.
Great meal for Restaurant Week lunch. Service was great for most part. We had a show tocatch which we made our waiter aware of. Realize it was very busy by the time we needed to leave but it took way too long to get check and then pay. Had to then rush to get to theatre.
Steak was cooked perfectly and our service was impeccable. Joe really took care of us,
We went for restaurant week and it was delicious! I just assumed the portions would be small but nope. Every part of the meal was good and nice sized portions. I even took food home. The food and service was great!
It truly never disappoints. It was a bonus to be able to dine during restaurant week. Service was exceptional.
