Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House - Philadelphia Ratings and Reviews
My wife and I have been here several times before (including other restaurant weeks) and this was our worst experience. The salad was gritty, as if the lettuce wasn’t washed. They allowed my wife to change it to the soup but the server had disappeared for some time so we actually had to get the manager to perform the swap. My steak was just warm, as if it had been sitting however the potatoes were hot so maybe the steak was cooked in advance. The cheesecake was room temperature, again as it was sitting out. Not what I expected from Del Frisco’s at all!
Food was great. But our waiter was more of Applebee's quality. Drinks did not come out until our food arrived. We had to ask for everything. Not what's typical for a restaurant at this price point. The tables next to us were getting top notch service from their wait staff, but ours was subpar.
Del Frisco’s combines the excellent service and food of a top tier steak house with innovative design. The interesting interior with the signature wine tower rids this restaurant of the stuffy atmosphere found in older establishments. Great food overall! The cheesecake was not quite up to Philly’s high standard of cheesecakes, though.
It is a very impersonal ambiance! The waiters are in a hurry to get you out of there. They come to check on you because they re supposed to, but without any thoughts on the fact that they interrupt your conversation 4-5 times. The managers too .... it s a pitty, they ruin the experience.
Atmosphere was great, inside a very large, old bank. We were there to celebrate my son's birthday, and it was restaurant week as well. Filet mignon's we all had were outstanding, cooked perfectly for my son and I, but a bit too rare for my wife, who ordered medium-well. Service was attentive for the most part; the only marks I took off for service were that we were not offered fresh ground pepper for our salads and the waitress left an empty beer bottle on our table. She did, however, bring my son's dessert out with a candle on it without asking.Overall, though, a great experience.
I’ve come here many times with the service being impeccable. Unfortunately, this time the service was terrible and the food was cold. We had to request bread, the table was pathetically scraped before our meal was served, our bottle of wine was not opened, 3 out of the 4 salads were brought and the 4th arrived 10 minutes later... the server was trying to juggle more than one table at a time, carrying entrees and drinks for two tables at a time which was unexpected for a restaurant with such a fine reputation. Our bottle of wine was brought out and never opened... the lack of attention and detail truly ruined the meal.
We went there for Restaurant Week to try it. Heard so many good things about it. However, my husband and I felt it was not as good and Butcher and Singer. It was very noisy and the tables are really close together. The filer was good, not exceptional for the cost. My crab cakes were delicious, but they were not hot. I had to have my plate reheated. Should not happen in a restaurant of this caliber. We had an early dinner reservation at 5:15 so it was not so busy. It was when we left at 6:40.
Place is beautiful. Went because it was Philly Restaurant Week and wanted to check it out. Portion sizes were very small. Lobster bisque their specialty--I didn't think so at all. Everything else was good (salmon) but nothing special--but fine for a $20 Restaurant Week special.
I went during restuarant week and I had the Salmon and green beans. First I have to say I had the Caesar salad and it was delicious. The dressing was really good. Now...I recently started eating Salmon and the server was very helpful in assisting me in selecting the right temperature to get it. Medium. It was moist and flavorful. I had a experience for my first time at Delfrisco's. I would definitely go back.
We went during restaurant week. We got the lobster bisque (was delicious —a little salty but overall good). For our main course we both got the filet with potatoes. DELICIOUS!! It was seasoned perfectly and I enjoyed every late bite. Then for dessert. I got the cheesecake -YUM! And my boyfriend got the chocolate -YUM!
Excellent dining experience! We both really enjoyed.
