Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House - New York City Ratings and Reviews
We were seated promptly, even though the restaurant was very busy and my husband was presented with a signed birthday card from the staff before our meal. All of he food was delicious and delivered to the table as soon as it had been prepared—everything was hot! Our server was amazing; attentive, energetic and fun. And without having made any special requests (aside from noting the occasion as part of my reservation), after our meal we were delivered a dessert platter with candles that said Happy Birthday. Thanks for helping make my husband’s 40th birthday extra special!
Amazing appetizers...highly recommend the tuna tartar for the appetizer, but every appetizer was delicious. I was with a lot of people so had a chance to test a lot of the appetizers and the side dishes...hard to choose what was best. The steak entrees were incredible. Truly some of the best food that we had ever eaten. That said, the wine list is extensive and was fabulous as well.
We chose del frisco’s to celebrate our 13th anniversary while on holiday in New York and we had a absolutely brilliant time the food was amazing and so were the cocktails, desserts were also just as amazing the service was brilliant too. A must visit restaurant when in New York I would definitely recommend to family friends & anyone who visiting New York.
My husband and I celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary at Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House in NYC. We were immediately taken to our table in a small dining room off the main dining room. Our waiter and the entire restaurant staff was very attentative to us thoughout our dinner. The food was wonderful and presented beautifully. To end the evening our waiter Sammy brought out a dessert that was just amazing. I would highly recommend this restarurant to anyone who wants a truly great steak or exceptional seafood.
They seated us past 9.30pm for an 8.30pm appointment. They clearly don’t know how to manage their reservations since many people were in the same situation and frustrated. It really ruins your night. The food was really subpar for any steakhouse. They literally burnt a filet mignon that was supposed to be well done and rib eye was crusted with a layer of pepper and salt to the extent that it was inedible. Will never eat here again.
Had 8:15pm reservation , finally seated at 9:30!
Was offered nothing in return! I felt that was a ridiculous time to make someone wait. Maitre D was telling everyone 20-25 minutes behind. Serious understatement.
Food was excellent and also the service received from waiter
I actually really like DelFrisco’s - their food and servers are excellent. But, having to wait 1 HOUR after my reservation time before being seated is completely unacceptable and blood boiling. It pretty much ruined my evening and made us rush through dinner as we had somewhere else to be later that evening (for which we thought we had left plenty of time). They certainly made their $ off of us at the bar as we had nothing to do during that hour but drink. Next time (if there is one) we will just leave.
Great meal but seating was horrible. Sat in basement next to a door to a private room that constantly.swunf open and closed
We also stared at half.full dirty wine and cocktail glasses stacked up on basement bar. Really disappointed in the seating especially since it's first time bringing my wife there and was hoping for the ambiance of a table in the main dining room near a window. She was very disappointed in the seating.
Celebrated a quiet birthday lunch with a friend and family. The crab cake appetizer was moist and fresh, the filet mignon was excellent and the Brussels sprouts was incredibly well prepared. All were very tasty, as were the various desserts, especially the awesome crême brulée.
I came for my anniversary with my boyfriend and from start to finish everything was amazing. The staff made you feel welcome to stay as long as you needed to—didn’t feel rushed at all. Everything thing we ordered had so much flavor and was delicious, 10/10. Also, because it was our anniversary we had a delicious dessert on the house. Amazing experience and would definitely come back.
Loved the experience. Private label merlot was an outstanding choice, the porterhouse was awesome, cooked and seasoned perfectly, and the creamed spinach was probably the best I’ve tasted all around. Our waiter was very prefessional and entertaining. Definitely recommend to anyone who would like to boost up the pre-show experience on a special occasion.
Bianca was our server and she was the best ever. Her charm, professionalism, and attentiveness made our night truly special . Thank you Bianca! The food was cooked as requested, served with alacrity, and the kitchen easily accommodated our special requests.
An enchanting evening.
Making a reservation at 6:15, and arrived 5 minuets before it. But we had to wait for more than 50 minuets until we got a table. No apologies were given to us or to the crowd who were waiting for a long time. Some people had to leave.
Someone who is supposed to be the manager was so rude.
I was happy with the quality of the food and the ambience. However, I have to point out that the transition between appetizers to mains was extremely long, over 40 minutes. Additionaly, we were taken by surprise when the Veuve Cliquot poured (taster) had no bubbles. The server response was one that is talking to people he thinks had never had veuve cliquot. Saying to us Veuve cliquot has small bubbles. We decided to let him pour it, and we noticed that in all other glasses there were bubbles, except for the one. Obviously, the glass was dirty or something was off about it resulting in no bubbles. I expect that at a high end restaurant as this, glasses will be clean and the waiter would be knowdgeable to know that if no bubbles are present something is off and not to undersetimate its customers. Wonder if the fact that I had to translate for my family was a factor.
Dinner before a show. We were seated immediately, no wait. Been to several restaurants and had to wait even with reservations.
Food was delicious and the wine even better. We didn't leave ourselves time for dessert but were told to come back after the show and it would be on them... Unfortunately we didn't make it back.
Kenny our server was the best and also had a visit from the manager to our table... Very nice!!
We'll definitely be back again
The food was excellent, of course. It is every time we're there. Our server was Brad. He is a delightful young man and an excellent waiter. We got an education about cuts of meat from him and were not aware of the bone in meat giving the beef more flavor, for example. We were able to sit where we wanted to this time. We didn't have that when we were there in June. We came for the food and our waiter was great, but where we sit has a little to do with our enjoyment of your restaurant. We look forward to special occasions at your restaurant. The food is very rich and also expensive. That's why we come for birthdays and our anniversary. Wish we could come for often, but it is what it is. :-)
The food and the service were impeccable. We celebrated my husband’s birthday, and they brought a special dessert to our table which was outstanding. If you are looking for a delicious steak dinner with great ambiance, I highly recommend this location. We will visit again when in NYC.
