I ordered a bone-in filet, medium well and it came rare. When I asked them to redo it, it came back with only a tiny portion medium well. For $64, it should have been right.
The cut of the steak was not as high quality as usual. Other than that, it and everything was perfect.
Our party of 4 originally had a table outside which was very nice but as it started to rain, the general manager came out and personally escorted us indoors. His name is Rich and he was absolutely awesome. Rich was extremely accommodating and treated us like we were long friends. Plus he had a great sense of humor and made sure we were doing great. He actually checked in on us several times to ensure that.
We live going to Del Frisco’s when in the city. The service was amazing and the steak was unreal. We ordered the Sea Bass but it was over cooked and returned to the kitchen. The manager took the fish off our bill and was very appreciative for our feedback and apologized for the error. They always take great care of us at this location and the atmosphere is electric even through all the protocols in place by the city. I would recommend all to visit and enjoy this amazing experience.
It was a birthday celebration. I asked for a special menu didn't know that couldn't be done had reservations. for 8didn't sit down until 830 waiter was nice
I used to Love Del Frisco. It was one of the steak houses that I could rely on to be exceptional each time I went. My last experience was not so positive. Firstly the prices have gone up dramatically. $73 for a dry aged steak!! I had a $75 give card that was a fathers day gift. We got one round of drinks, one beer, two steaks and some asparagus and my bill was over $150 (After taking off $75 for the gift card) WOW.
But the biggest disappointment was the steak. When you pay that much for a steak is should be bliss. Perfect in every way, every time!! The steak I got was only OK. Overcooked in some spots and just not as good as the quality I expected from Del Frisco. I have had far better steaks at this restaurant back when they cost $20 less. And have had far better steaks from other restaurants.
One of the worst meals I ever had. I had to send back the roasted chicken, it was so overcooked. By the time it arrived, (not significantly better prepared) my other two diners had finished their meal. My wife barely was able to eat her meal and my guest hated hers. I was not able to finish my chicken as it was so tasteless. I I’ll never go back. I also noticed all the seating which used to be leather is now crappy vinyl.
Christine was the Best Ever!!!!!!
It's exactly what you want from a NYC steakhouse!!
What a great night! Thank you ! you guys made our birthdays so special. Food was fabulous, service was beyond expectations. Thank you for our dessert. Would highly recommend for a lovely evening.
Every dish was delicious, the service warm & attentive, and the outside seating set back - so removed from street traffic - with lovely views of Radio City & Rockefeller Center.
Had a great evening. I love that if you’re dining indoors you must show proof of vaccination with ID. Plus, the bread to start was amazing!
Every time I visit NYC, I have to come to Del Frisco’s. I've never had a bad meal here ever! Our waiter was amazing. Attentive, but not in an annoying way. The food was perfectly cooked and the bread pudding is to die for! I can't wait to come back already.
We went after seeing Hadestown (which was fantastic, by the way). At 9:50 the waiter said the kitchen was about to close, which seemed very odd, considering they happily accepted our reservation for 9:45. Oh well, maybe he was in a hurry to get home. The food was very good. My wife had the wedge salad and crab cakes. I had the Prime Ribeye with a side of Chateau Mashed Potatoes. The waiter described this particular doneness levels, so I ordered medium, and it was exactly what he described. The stake had a very heavy pepper coating and good sear. I'm a peppercorn steak fan, so this was great for me. My wife and I both loved the potatoes, and she enjoyed her dinner, too. While this was a pretty good dinner, it was very pricey -- to me over-priced -- for what we got.
The food was phenomenal!! The crab cakes were so fresh and good and so the steak was soooooo GOOD!!
Dined here for my birthday 🎉🎊. The prime ribeye was amazing ! My service was outstanding. Truly a birthday to remember.
You never let us down!
We returned the next day!
The Very Best Steak House I’ve Have Ever Been Too!!!
The creamed spinach is the best I’ve ever had. Never a bad meal. Favorite steakhouse, hands down. Can’t wait to come back.
Outstanding steaks, outstanding service - best place in town for a drink or dinner
I celebrated my bday on 9/11. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. Def plan on coming back for another meal!
Hosted a large group dinner for an important family event. Staff went above and beyond to make it a very special evening. Great service, great food, great evening.
The waiters were great but the managers who run the place were very rude and very touchy. I didn’t appreciate them putting their hand on me when I asked a simple question and they gave me a sarcastic response. Additionally, I had reservations but I wasn’t seated until 30 minutes later. They had me waiting in a little seating area with 20 other people who had seated reservations. I was expecting so much more and was let down. Everyone is running all over the place and it’s just chaos.
Its was Wonderful and the staff was excellent
It was fine. Not great though. I felt the food quality was better the last time I was there. Steak was smaller than I remembered.
Everything was just perfect.
Only when first seated the waiter took to long to come to our table.
Everything else PERFECT!!
We have dined here multiple times per year for the past 12 years and it has been outstanding. This was our first visit back after Covid and it was not the same. Limited menu & out of items, no onion rings which was mind blowing. Bread & Butter Cake were the best part of the meal. Steaks were ok, sides not as good as they were. Service not on point. Thankfully we have experienced DF at its best but will wait a very long time to go back. For what we paid & have experienced in the past, last night was poorly executed. Hope they get it together quick. Had this been my first visit, I would not return.
Excellent as always, great experience
This was our 10th visit but worst ever, service was bad for the first time. They didn’t have “dry aged bone in prime rib eye” which is unsual for a premium steak house located in the heart of Manhattan. Oysters shucked were not fresh and caused stomach issues. “Bone in prime ribeye” was mediocre. Super frustrated this time!! 😞😞
Amazing food, knowledgeable friendly staff. Was our first time there and definitely not our last!!
Just great as always!
All around outstanding experience and what one would expect from a top-tier steakhouse.
I eat there very often . You definitely need to try the crab cakes
They shouldn’t have dress code, it is kind of old fashion.
Met up with my daughter and her husband. The service was fabulous and the food was great. It is a great experience especially sitting outdoors.
My friends and I had a wonderful dinner. The food was delightful and the drinks were tasty. The waiter was very attentive and genuine with his recommendations. He also made it feel like my brother’s birthday was the only birthday in the world. I highly recommend for anyone to come there and have a good time.
For steakhouse food and a special place to go Delfrisco is finominal. Best cocktail and wines.
Do not mess around with other dishes. Go there for the steaks. We ordered the 12 oz filet mignon and, OMG, it was so good. The mushroom side dish is amazing, however, I make better mashed potatoes. You will be disappointed if you order the mashed, and would regret not getting to spend that money on an I Love NYC t-shirt at a street stand. The banana bread pudding dessert is so yummy, and we ate it all even though we could hardly eat another bite. Regardless of food, we had Shay(?) as our waitress and she was excellent. She treated my 11-year-old as a man, which was a great lesson for him in young adult socialization. I will visit this restaurant again on our next trip to NYC.
Always a great dinner at Del Friscos. Me and hubby had date night and decided to treat ourselves...He had the prime tomahawk and I had the Dry Aged Ribeye both with truffle butter (1st time trying truffle butter and now I'm addicted) The steaks were juicy and well seasoned. Creamed spinach was amazing, and the lobster Mac and cheese was beyond delicious
