Chateau Mashed Potatoes, Thin Green Beans & Red Wine Demi-Glace
Steaks and sides were great. Very high quality dry aged. Oysters are great. Tuna tartare is a little bland. I think we’re still feeling the effects of the pandemic on service staff. But over all very good
Had reservation for month and a half before the dinner. Had no table for us when we arrived. While server was good, food was lacking considerably. Dry aged NY Strip was terrible; lots of grizzle and fat; not edible. Au Gratin potatoes were not anywhere near the quality of what we have had in the past. May think twice before making another reservation at the Del Frisco’s in NYC.
Amazing wine list-friendly, knowledgeable service
Overall fair experience but we had such higher expectations. The quality of the filet was less than mediocre. The restaurant was very busy and the service could not keep up.
The steaks were outstanding, the sides excellent and the waitstaff terrific.
The wine list was crazily expensive. Very difficult to find a decent wine for under $100.
It was a Saturday night and the sound level was too high, but am told that is a weekend-only phenomenon, as the true NYers eat during the week and are much quieter.
Our server, Daniel, was OUT OF THIS WORLD, and quickly redeemed what could have been a very frustrating experience. We were short on time (see more below) but he got us in and out with time still to savor a fantastic meal. He was friendly, professional, and one of the finest servers I’ve ever had.
A word of warning: our reservation was for 6 pm. We showed up at 6:10 (because of navigating NYC). We weren’t seated until 6:35. No big deal if you’re out for a casual meal, but we had tickets to a show at 8 and it was a 20 minute walk to the theater. As you can imagine, I was getting very anxious about the timing of it all. So if you’re going to see a show, I’d suggest booking an earlier reservation. The entry way was crowded with folks waiting for tables and I found the environment quite stressful, waiting for someone to get run over as new faces poured through the revolving door!
The restaurant was quite noisy. My experience with Del Frisco’s in the past has been limited to the Louisville, KY location which is a quiet den, with the warmth and ambiance I look for in fine dining.
Overall, we loved the meal. Again, Daniel did EVERYTHING right to make sure we had the best possible experience in a limited amount of time.
Nice place, a good steak and service you can expect at a good steakhouse
Loved the staff very helpful. Food was amazing.
Took my college-age daughter and her friends out for a celebratory dinner. Food, service, and ambiance were top shelf.
Overall great experience! I told the waiter I couldn’t have alcohol (baby on board) and he made the most amazing mocktails I’ve ever had! Can’t forget the Tomahawk it was cooked to perfection!
Excellent service, our server was awesome! However, the security guard who asked for our vaccination cards was a bit too aggressive. I get that there’s a mandate, but don’t use that as an opportunity to power trip, treat the people who patronize your business with respect because there are still plenty of other options. Also, the Tomahawk steak had excellent flavor, just a bit chewy though. All our sides were spot on and the banana bread pudding was incredible.
Beautiful steakhouse, unparalleled taste, great service, busy dinner. Type of meal that doesn’t make you want to eat meat again.
Outdoor setting was nice, food was good, service was poor, lackadaisical and uninterested in customer, often had to tackle someone, anyone, to get water. Waiters seemed to forget about customer, motto seemed to be “the customer comes . . .last!
Hostesses were kinda rude but the waiters were awesome! Food was decent and the drinks were great
An outstanding experience as always
Excellent all around. Our server was super and very professional.
This was our first time at Del Frisco's Double Eagle in NYC. We live in Las Vegas, and with all the amazing steakhouses we have been to, Del Frisco's in NYC has a slight edge over them all. We had the tasting table menu. Started off with a caesar salad which was perfectly dressed. It was delicious. We also had the thick cut bacon au poivre, which for me was one the most amazing slices of bacon ever. for the main course we upgraded to the Wagyu beef, just simple and amazing. We also had the lobster tail. Though I wish there had been more lobster, growing up in New England, it was one of the best cooked, sweetest, tender lobster tail I've ever eaten. The side mashed potatoes and creamed spinach we again, perfect! For dessert we had the chocolate mousse. Simple, light and elegant. Paired with espresso. It was the perfect way to end our night.
Now, Jenny our waitress, WOW!! She is an all-star! She was an amazing waitress. We will certainly ask for her again in the future!! Thank you so much!!
Awesome experience as I visit the city always.
Great food and wine in a lively atmosphere—My second time at the restaurant and it lived up to all my expectations
Birthday celebration. Service was exceptional and the food was delicious.
Amazing Staff!!! Both services Chris & Chris were amazing!!
Thank you for making it happen
In NYC with the kids during fall break. Booked late on a Thursday. Had short time due to a show and let them know. They accommodated us and moved everything along. Food was excellent. Large portions. Two of my kids could have split one entree. Would recommend.
AJ and Chauncey were amazing and attentive. Love this place and the food is superb.
I really enjoyed the ambiance and overall feel of the restaurant. The Service starting from the greeter that checked our vaccination cards was outstanding! The food was very good but I think the prices were too high for that experience. With that I would certainly go back and recommend to others.
Extremely, extremely overpriced.
Ordered the seafood tower and the crab legs were frozen, literally had ice in them and not eatable. The shrimps were also small considering this is high end steakhouse. Had the prime strip and it just wasn’t good. Fatty and not a good steak. Than the sticker shock when bill came. Our server was great and we didn’t complain as I never would in these hard times but I will not be going back anytime soon.
Just get the biz lunch special; do the soup instead of the salad. Great spot. Would come again.
Great food and extra friendly service.
It was my first anniversary and my wife loved it!
We had a lovely dinner outside. Our waitress could not have been more considerate and helpful. the dinner was delicious and we are looking for to returning often. hopefully, there will be heaters going forward.
Great taste excellent service
Absolutely brilliant 13th birthday dinner for my son... The A5 Wagyu was out of this world, the freshly-baked bread was to die for, and all the drinks and food items were perfect. Our waiter Eric was super attentive, proactive, knowledgeable and overall, outstanding. My kids were talking about how every other dinner going forward is going to get compared with this one - that says it all!!
Excellent food and environment. Definitely prefer this location over the DC one
Great experience. The food was very good, the drinks were large and well made. The best was our waiter, Danny. Very pleasant demeanor and good suggestions for food and drink.
Wonderful. We had a great time before going to Lion King.
We had a wonderful pre-Broadway show dinner. Enjoyed a seafood tower, some great drinks, and the Tomahawk Steak. The service and atmosphere were awesome. Will definitely be back!
The waiter Chris was the best we ever had. Made the entire experience awesome
Went before a show at the garden. It was as good as I remember it. Great staff and attention to detail.
