On arriving, we learned that management has imposed a new dress code. My friend was denied entrance to indoor dining, because his dress was not up to the code. Del Frisco's can impose a dress code of course, but with a new policy, there should be a phase-in so that people can adjust. Also, it was hard not to notice that so many people being turned away from indoor dining were Black New Yorkers...some of them were dressed for a fancy night out, but the dress code snagged them for things like exposed midriff. As for my own party, we accepted seated outdoors because of the dress code - and we might have stuck it out despite everything, except that service was also slow getting started. After a while, we got the feeling we were essentially being invited to leave. So we left. We went to another steak place, where my friend's casual attire was never remarked on, despite this steak house being more expensive and exclusive than Del Frisco's.
Terrific as always!
Portion wasnt worth the amount t we bad, but the experience and service made up for them.
Outdoor only available and it was not great weather. Staffing of wait staff seems over stretched. Exception was Curtis who was fantastic. Bar was backed up so our pre dinner cocktails took forever and getting a glass of water without ice took three attempts. Food was fabulous as was the wine but expected top notch service for the price.
Wonderful food and service. Prices are high but the food is very good.
The food is amazing and the service and staff are top notch. Worth every dollar. One of my all time favorites!
Excellent service, excellent food. Always a great spot when we visit NYC.
This is my favorite steakhouse and the food is always great. Service was a little on the slow motion side this time around which is not a normal thing for them otherwise everything was great.
Service, food and atmosphere were all excellent! We will be back our next trip to NYC.
Del friscos is always a delicious meal and a fun night out!
Great food, great employees, great time
Our Entrees and dessert were absolutely amazing. Definitely will be back.
We loved everything! Food, ambiance and service were top notch. Excellent place to celebrate a special occasion.
The most lovely and attentive waitress!
Del Frisco's food was amazing. It was my fiance birthday. He also love it. The waiter & waitress was very nice. I already recommended friends lol. I will differently come back.
I'd had a lovely experience here before, but today the service was slow, and we were concerned about finishing in time to miss an impending storm (we mentioned this a few times). Since the Caesar salad last time was mediocre, I ordered the lobster bisque, which was excellent. As before the filet medallion special was excellent, as was the butter cake dessert. The lobster roll my companion had was also excellent. The only issue was that she walks with a cane, and the restroom was upstairs.
Otherwise, a neighborhood find, and I understand they stay open late when theaters are open.
Food was not up to Del Frisco standards.
Main course took a long time to arrive after the appetizers. A colleague ordered the medallions - rare - but she got - rare, medium and well done. Espresso and cappuccino also arrived minutes late after dessert was served.
My family and I came here to celebrate my husband’s birthday. It was our first experience at Del Frisco’s and it was amazing!!! Our server, Sean, was excellent! Very funny! The food was great!!! The steaks were tasty, the macaroni and cheese was on point, and the mashed potatoes were chef’s kiss! Definitely returning to this place on a fancy date night!
We had to sit outside because my boyfriend was in more athletic dressy shorts. Kind of ridiculous. Was so hot out but it finally got cool. The waiter knew we weren’t that happy with not being able to sit inside so he gave us a free dessert.
Celebrating earning my doctoral degree with my best friend. Our server, Curtis was very friendly and knowledgeable. His recommendations were spot on. The food was great except the Japanese A5 which was a little disappointing. I’m aware of it’s high marbling but this steak today was just very well seasoned fat. The tomahawk more than made up for the A5 disappointment as it was cooked perfectly. The creamed spinach and lobster Mac & cheese were wonderful accompaniments. Will definitely return but next time I’ll try the oysters for an appetizer.
Indoor, outdoor and under tent options.
Business lunch is perfect for a business lunch.
Bday dinner loved it
The food was excellent. The service was excellent. The table of 9 guys next to us getting drunk and yelling at the top of their lungs was awful. I could not hear my wife speaking to me at times. There needs to be a way to separate large rambunctious guests from couples that want to have a nice night out.
Hand down the best filet I have ever had. The drinkers were spot on as well!
The food was incredible and so was the wine. Our head waiter was fantastic as well. Great night out!
This was my first visit to Del Frisco's since Landry's bought the chain and while the service and ambiance remain impeccable, the meal itself was not up to the standard I had become accustomed to. Note that when asked if you're ok with salt, pepper, butter for seasoning - tell your waiter to go light on the pepper. The steaks essentially tasted like they had been 'blackened' due to the heavy dose of pepper and the mashed potatoes were overly peppery as well. The quality of the steaks was also inconsistent, as two of our three steaks were phenomenal, while the third contained an unseemly amount of grizzle. The Caesar salad was also lacking in flavor. On the positive side, the seafood tower was fantastic and the lobster and salmon were very good as well.
Del Frisco's used to be towards the top of my list for business dinners, but I'll be prioritizing other high end eateries going forward - I just hope that Strip House and Morton's (Landry's other high end steak concepts) haven't gone down hill as well.
Beautiful restaurant. Dinner was a bit pricey but the food was delicious so it balanced out.
This place is great. The VIP martini is yummy. The Lobster Mac & Cheese is yummy too. And the service is great. We love Natalija so much!
We wanted to celebrate my daughter's postponed graduation from Fordham in NYC, and a good steak dinner symbolizes that in our house! I had noted on reservation the reason for our visit. We first were shown to an outdoor table not undercover in a sweltering early eve, so asked to be moved indoors where we were given a table behind the bathroom next to what looked like a biz dinner, view was of construction cite and a Fox News ticker in Rockerfeller Center. Nothing like images of Sean Hannity and Laura Ingram to kill an appetite . Classic 80s hair rock was playing WAY too loudly and bouncing off the hallway we were seated in as we waited quite awhile for our waiter, who didn't seem to know or care we were there to celebrate a graduation. The food itself was delicious, extremely expensive (which we expected), but the service and especially the ambiance were not great. We only visit NYC once or twice yearly and admire the city's ability to bounce back always, and hopefully Del Frisco's will do the same
Del Frisco's Double Eagle steakhouse in NYC is the best restaurant in NY.
Good business lunch and friendly atmosphere. Always good quality food.
Amazing food and service from the beginning . Will definitely be coming back!
was very good overall!
I loved my birthday dinner. I will definitely be coming back!
Excellent as expected. Unfortunately, the outside construction blocked the view of Radio City and 6th Avenue. Steaks are sublime! Dinner for 4 with drinks and tip cost close too $600. Not cheap and wasn’t expecting such. 25 Anniversary Dinner! A treat for my wife and sons! Never disappoints!
I think I’ve written 2 reviews in the last 20 years but honestly, this one deserves. Best meal of my life. Best service as well. We celebrated our anniversary there last night and honestly there isn’t one thing I would change to make it better. My husband and I both said we don’t know why we bother going anywhere else.
Just trust me, go to Del Frisco’s. It’s really that good.
Great overall experience and everyone was hospitable. Thank you for the experience and food turn around time was nothing to the extreme
Our server Eric was amazing! So friendly, so accommodating. We sat outside and were initially apprehensive about service, but Eric was always there checking in. And we LOVE the new bread! Love the honey butter glaze too, but the bread itself is amazing! This is the first time I’ve ever packed leftover bread.
Food was good but not as good as before. The staff was not as nice as before. The thing that drove me crazy is I noticed towards the end of my meal that everyone else had bread and I asked my waitress about it and she said you have to request the bread. I said damn I wish I knew I love bread and she never offered me after I said that to have some to go. This place is so overpriced and even then they wouldn't even offer me bread as if I was in in and out and there was a secret menu because they never mentioned it in their menu. I understand if they offer it so I can decline or accept but if I don't know then how can I request it. So awful and ruined my experience
