Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House - Ft. Worth Ratings and Reviews
We ordered the calamari appetizer. Much like Eddie V’s, It comes with a chili sauce which was good, but the serving spoon was in the dish. So when we tried to serve ourselves we had sticky sauce all over our hands. Waiter brought us a warm napkin which was nice. We ordered a $49 steak entree along with the crab cake entree which was $39. Presentation would be rated a zero. Steak came out on a white plate nothing else. Crab cakes were good but a little bigger than a silver dollar. We also ordered a side of cream spinach which was barely warm. Our waiter was awesome, he took the spinach back and brought another hot dish. For the price I would expect a better presentation and a plated meal instead of everything being ala crate.
I think if this place would take more pride in their presentation and food, and less pride in their prices it would be a better place to eat. It is a popular destination I feel mainly due to the atmosphere, waitstaff and good steak selection, just overpriced for what you get.
The loud, vulgar women and football yelling men at the next table made for an ambiance that we'd like to forget. Their behavior really poisoned what would have been an okay experience. For that price (over $200 for two of us) I don't want to feel like I'm sitting in the bleachers with a bunch of drunks.
I have never visited the Fort Worth location this was my first time. I will say that the Dallas location is much better in regards to the service, food and over all decor.
I was not pleased with the number of times we were interrupted during our dinner by multiple people. The foie gras was disappointing - lacked flavor unlike the times I have had it at the Dallas location. We ordered the chocolate souffle for dessert, the cake was very dry - powdery. The decor looks dingy - carpets look old and need replacing. Not an atmosphere I would want to revisit again, considering all the other options downtown. I would prefer to visit Capital Grille, Mercury Chip House or Del Frisco’s Grille before I ever go back back to this Del Frisco’s location.
I did appreciate the time the wine expert took to help pick out the perfect bottle of wine for our dinner. The filet we ordered was also very lovely and enjoyable and the brussel sprouts were perfect.
I almost wanted to give this review a 1 star because, we were asked to leave because they needed our table for another reservation. I felt like not only was this unprofessional and rude, but shocking for the class of this restaurant. I made reservations and if I wanted to sit there all night I should be able to do that.
I have NEVER been asked to leave any of the other fine dining restaurants in the downtown Ft Worth area. Nothing like spending your money and then being booted out - very disrespectful - I was not even finished with my wine.
We made reservations to celebrate my husbands birthday with the family. Sparing no expense we valet the car, order appetizers and cocktails. Service was great, fast and courteous. 2 of us ordered the salmon special. ($46). Neither of us were impressed and I was unable to eat it, finding the salmon overwhelmingly fishy in taste. My husband’s steak was good, not great and my sons crabcakes had good flavor but were served less than warm, closer to room temperature. Our family meal cost $346, and no one left there feeling they ever wanted to return not having had any one thing they felt was great. The restaurant is nice, server was very good but food is not of high-value or exceptional taste
Excellent food and service. We really enjoyed ourselves. It's far superior to the Capital Grille and Ruth's Chris, etc. My only comment would be that it should be made a bit more "user friendly" for individuals with mobility issues. My husband uses a cane and it was a bit difficult to get him to the back of the restaurant; plus the bathroom is upstairs. Other than that, great experience.
I was very disappointed that I had called the day before to add one person on to my reservation and was told no and then when we arrived we’re seated at at a table for four. When I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass, I was told they were out. My husband ordered a steak that had to be sent back three times before it was right.
One of my favorite restaurants. We have chosen this restaurant as our New Years Eve destination for the last ten years and it never disappoints. The steaks are excellent and the staff is very friendly. I also buy gift certificates for my clients and they love it.
Spectacular food with impeccable service! The filet mignon was cooked to perfection! Food portions were great. The waiter had great personality and seemed invisible when refilling water, drinks. This place lived up to what everyone who had dined there said it was!
