Despite the restaurant not being ready for our reservation, the food was great. The hostess said "sometimes the web reservations sneak up on us." I had made the reservation more than an hour before arriving. Table service was actually a little less than normal. Drinks were slow to come to the table, and had to order coffee twice before receiving. We are looking forward to the renovations.
We had great service and food for a Retirement Luncheon. We were not big enough group for a private room but graciously seated in an quiet area that allowed for plenty of conversation and toasting!
Del's is always great. Great food, great service, always accommodating. Sure its expensive, but you go there for that reason too.
My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful meal with my parents on 3/17/18 at Del Frisco's. Our server was Jeremy and he was great. He was extremely attentive and was quick with information and recommendations. The food was delicious. Everything was top notch. Thank you so much for a great night.
As usual, the food and service were awesome! My nephew was visiting for spring break. He is a steak lover and Del Frisco's was at the top of our list!
Great bday dinner.
The waitress, Molly, was amazing! It made the experience well worth it
For me this was a special occasion meal, but I saw plenty of regulars who dine at the bar on a frequent basis. Excellent food options. 45-day dry aged steak had a concentrated flavor with just enough fat to keep from being overly chewy. The six-layer lemon cake provided a good finish to the meal without being too sweet. Staff was very helpful with menu and drink choices.
We have always enjoyed Del Frisco's even though we live in Colorado Springs. Our son was just engaged so we (I) decided to celebrate at DF. The food arrived but mine steak must have been misplaced as it was not very warm. The gentlemen server noticed my hesitancy and sent the steak back to be reheated. in the meantime, he brought my baked potato, I touched it to see how hot it was. Didn't seem hot but I asked the server to indulge me for a moment while I placed the butter in the potato.....just as i suspected. The butter did not melt very quickly so he knew it was not correct. The table's mashed potatoes were hotter than my steak!!
Both were corrected and the steak came back hotter than I could accomodate in my mouth(but that is what i expected in the first place!) it did not sizzle when the 1st attempt was brought to me. I had a similar situation last year here. We ate at 6pm on a Sunday, hoping to beat the crowds, and frankly; the circumstances like we experienced. Too many very good steak houses in Denver for this to happen...much less twice.
Really off night for Dels. Not at all busy but service very slow, food mediocre. This is our favorite restaurant but so disappointing tonight.
Everything was great until we paid. Trouble with gift cards that were purchased online. In the future will only buy gift cards at the restaurant
Bacon and octopus appetizers were incredible. Don't miss ordering these two.
This is one of our favorite steak houses We have enjoyed 4 locations: Fort Worth TX, Dallas TX, New York City, NY now Denver, CO. The food was delicious and we had great cocktails. The one comment would be that service was spotty with a longer wait between courses.
This particular restaurant has a great, enclosed smoking section for cigar smokers with very comfortable leather seats and highly attentive servers. The dark wooden finish that surrounds the seating and bar area make this look like a really classy place, and acoustics when live music is done with the singer, piano player, and bass guitarist sound amazing. For anyone that wants to relax with a good drink and cigar should definitely try this restaurant out if only to just enjoy the cigar room. Dinner is also exceptional, I definitely recommend the Tomahawk Chop. Very Tender and done precisely the way I like my steak (medium rare). Come on out and try it for yourself, you won’t be disappointed.
Received a gift certificate for dinner. The restaurant is by far at the upper end for style, food, presentation, and customer service. You are treated like royalty the entire time. Steaks are like no where else. Sides are sized for two people which is very nice . Bar menu is extensive . Down side for us with as everything is high end, so is the price. Dinner for two with two drinks and desert was $250. With the tip.
For a steak house of this caliber - for lunch - stick to the salmon. We come here often for the business lunch menu item and expect it to be the one thing they should get perfect every time. This should be the 'gateway' meal that gets someone back for dinner or special occasions. It is not. We both ordered the medallion steak lunch. (I usually order the salmon - but this time wondered why I'm at such a well known steak house and ordering fish.) We each had the full discussion with our server of the exact amount of 'pink' we wanted to see throughout the steak. Then settled in for a long best friend kind of conversation. The Del Frisco salad was great - it always is. Our server was fabulous - they always get that right too. The lunch medallions are thick and the size of a dollar coin around - which I have no problem with if they are impeccably cooked. They were not. I think there are 3 or 4 on a plate - I'm not sure - I only ate one. The plate runner made sure we cut into one of them to see if it looked ok. We did and off he went. The medallion I cut into looked cooked to perfection for me - it was slight pink and had a good flavor but hard to cut and chew. I cut open the others and they were just as hard to cut and completely rare. I get it. It's lunch. It's busy. But with a standard menu item - this is something that should be flawless. Some would argue I should have sent it back until they got it right. But with due respect catching up with a dear friend (for just a limited amount of time over lunch) should not include me sending anything back and waiting for them to either find a sharper knife, better cut of meat or prepare all of the pieces the same. Having said all of that... of course we'll be back. We genuinely like the place. It's comfortable. The staff is impeccable and we get to catch up in a very nice restaurant over lunch. But for me - I'll stick to the salmon.
Cup of lobster bisque and a wagyu French dip - delicious!
Was disappointed in that when trying to change reservation from 2 to 4 people that the website knocked me out of the 7pm reservation forcing me to choose an earlier time of 5:30pm. I notified corporate, who stated that she, a general manager of the restaurant (no name given), would contact me right after Valentine's Day to try to resolve this issue. No one ever called back in three weeks even though I had emailed corporate again that I had not been contacted; and, corporate did not respond either. When the restaurant called me to confirm my reservation, I explained what had happened. That young lady put me in touch with Ryan, a manager, who immediately was able to change the reservation back to 7pm. We had a very enjoyable evening celebrating a gentleman's 76th birthday.
They always do a great job, this dinner was no exception.
We went here and Ruth's Chris for Restaurant Week. Our waiter at Del Frisco's either doesn't like restaurant week or didn't want to be working that night. He sure didn't make us feel like it was worth his time to be dealing with us. I've had longer conversations with the staff at Chick-Fil-A!
Ruth's Chris was an outstanding experience and would highly recommend them! Not sure we'll go back to Del Frisco's again.
I've been here a few times and they never disappoint!! We went for Restaurant Week. Ordered the lobster bisque, Caesar salad, i ordered the filet mignon with their alaskan crab truffle butter, my boyfriend upgraded to the 45 day aged ribeye, we added creamed spinach and the stone crab claw to our meal. Dinner also included the best cheesecake and chocolate mousse. The food was absolutely fantastic, as always. The last time i went, the service was not what you'd expect from a nice place like that. It was disappointing, but this time everyone was wonderful!! Service was terrific! One of the managers even introduced himself in the beginning of our meal. They care about their service and patrons. 6 stars! I can't wait to go back.
While our server was wonderful, I don’t like feeling rushed while dining - especially at the prices we were paying.
Outstanding as per usual
Amazing service, delicious buttery steak, tons of wines and a full bar as well as a cigar bar. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Disappointed in the food for restaurant week and felt very rushed through our meal.
My filet had quite a bit of fat on it. Unfortunately, I didn't notice until the next day when I had the other half for leftovers. The filet was also pretty bland, no seasoning.
I would like to mention that our waitress was fantastic.
Overall, if I had a choice between Perry's or here, I would definitely choose Perry's.
30th Birthday celebration! Wonderful experience
This was the 1st time my husband and I ate at del Frisco's for restaurant week and it was great! My husband had a steak and I had the crab cakes and we both were very pleased. The food was hot, seasoned well and our waitress (Nicole S) was great too.
Our server Jeff was fantastic. I would ask them to hold the pepper on the next round. People probably like a well peppered steak, it was a little too much for mine. We had a great time at Delfrescos. Nice treat for restaurant week.
As always a perfect dinner at Del Frisco's. The food was perfect. The atmosphere was as always good, and the service is second to none.
Meal was fabulous! Drinks were great! Service was perfect!
Dinner was excellent. One of my favorite restaurants in town. A bit pricey, but food and experience was wonderful.
Everything was exceptional, server, support staff, hostesses, environment, appetizer (lobster bisque is best I've ever had). But the main course entree was only fair, unfortunately. I had the filet, my wife had medallions. Neither knocked out socks off. Would probably go back and try again due to outstanding service.
We once again went here for Restaurant Week and were not disappointed. Food was served exactly as ordered and delicious. We would certainly return
We had never been to Del Frisco's, food was very good, service was also very good. We sat in a back room that only had 7 tables, was very happy to be in that room. It was quiet in that room. The main dining room seemed very loud, bar is right there, everyone is standing waiting to be seated, so seemed very congested. It was my birthday, and was very happy that the waiter was able to let me have a dessert that was not on the restaurant week menu. We will visit again!
Excellent food and excellent service. We'll be back.
Great as always!
I absolutely love Del Frisco’s in NY and Boston, and I have to say our steaks at this location were EXCELLENT, as was our server, which is quite impressive for Restaurant Week. I wanted to love it even more in my current hometown, but it was the extras where they missed (lobster bisque, mashed potatoes, cheese cake). If I could give 3.5 stars, I would. Note that I had high expectations that were not met. Perhaps trying it on a less busy night would help.
I never expect much during restaurant week but Del Frisco’s surprised me. The food was very good. Steaks we slightly peppered too much but overall it was good.
Great food - great service - Restaurant Week selection was good - house wine was a bit pricey tho.
