Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse - DC
Book your next event with us
Birthday for my wife
Eden was quite possibly the best waitress we could’ve asked for, she made the experience all the better, she was extremely knowledgeable about all items on and off menu, and made our overall accommodations very enjoyable, we will definitely be back to dine when we are back in the DC area.
The Good: If you are going for drinks, the VIP and the Blood Orange Manhattan are awesome. The mashed potatoes were divine. Banana bread pudding was on point!
The OK: Del Frisco's is a very good restaurant, but for the price point, I feel there are much better options in the DC area. The steaks were very good, but not mouth watering.
The Bad: The service was only marginally better than a fast casual restaurant (the back-waiters are very attentive), at no time did we feel like this was a special dinning experience. Our table cloth had stains on it, and the table was never crumbed. The bread was fresh and hot but had zero flavor.
Ultimately, we finished our meal without any desire to hurry back.
Besides being seated at an very dirty table. That the hostess was aware was dirty because I made a comment and she just stood there while my girlfriend cleaned the table for us to sit properly. As well as in addition to us being served appetizers and bread without utensils, I can say that my overall experience at Del Frisco's wasn't bad at all. My girlfriend and I enjoyed spending time at this established once everything was acommendated accordingly.
The restaurant is excellent, from the first steps into the door to the table. Jason was an excellent server. Went to celebrate an anniversary and not only did the General Manager acknowledge us but servers did as well. Will be back very soon.
I'm not a fan of most steakhouses, oftentimes they're overpriced and the food isn't worth it, but my goddaughter wanted to go to celebrate her 21st birthday, so I took her and her brother for lunch. It was a nice day to sit outside, but definitely needed shade. We were seated in an area where we were all covered by the huge umbrellas on the patio. The calamari appetizer is always good and never disappoints. My goddaughter ordered prime rib, my godson and I both ordered the king salmon business lunch that came with a soup or salad and a side of creamed spinach and asparagus for the table. 2 spoons into his cup of bisque, my godson comes across a piece of plastic. The waitress wasn't as attentive as I'd like, but enjoying time with my godkids so it didn't matter. I went inside and found a server who immediately sent our server out. She was very apologetic, said she'd get him another cup as well as send a manager. 10 mins later still no soup or manager. Another 10 minutes and Kyle, the manager, finally comes outside. He doesn't address us or the table at all. He was too busy/ hurried for common courtesy or good customer service. He walks over within 2.5 feet of the corner of my godson's chair which was closest to the door and says "I apologize for the delay, another soup will be right out" and walks away. Again never acknowledges the table or the issue. A few minutes later a bowl of bisque comes out. After 10 minutes the entrees finally arrive. The salmon was bland and the crab hash was very oily. My goddaughter enjoyed her prime rib and at the end of the day that's what was most important. This is the bottom of my list of steakhouses. There are far too many other and better choices to return.
Servers were very nice. The restaurant manager even came out to greet us and gave recommendations. Would happily visit again
Excellent dining experience!! My favorite restaurant to take my clients out for lunch and dinner.
Dinner was a celebration for my husband’s birthday and they made it special. Daniel provided excellent service.
The service, food/drinks was absolutely impeccable. We were celebrating a belated birthday and it was made so special. Miguel was our waiter and his service is absolutely six stars all the way, he took his time to explain the menu and provided excellent drink recommendations that we took advantage of. Rich provided excellent service as well, he took his time to explain specific wines and whiskeys. This was an a amazing experience. We’ll definitely be back.
I had an issue early in the Meal with service. When the manager found out , he moved rapidly and made sure our issues were addressed. Amazing job. I’ll be back often !
Overall a good experience. Need improvement at receptionists and water server.
Outstanding customer service and great food..I love eating at your establishment. No restaurant is greater in my opinion.
Our waitress was great!!
Food is always great! Please bring back the molten cake.
Service was excellent as was the food
Service was impeccable! The steak was over done although they fixed it, however the Brussels sprouts were very salty
It was very delightful
Food and service was excellent. Our family was visiting DC for the first time and the waiter provided us with a list of dining suggestions for the rest of our trip.
It was wonderful! The food was delicious, Daniel brought us a free appetizer and really talked through our entree choices with us. Freddy, the Somme, went out of his to find the perfect perfect wine for our party of three. Just an unexpectedly special and delicious Tuesday night! We will be back!
Service was very slow!!! Again!!
Lobster Cobb salad was amazing!
Our server was outstanding. She offered great advice on the menu selections. The manager was personable and welcoming. I love Del Frisco’s!
Amazing food and the best waiter I have ever had!! I forget his name but provided amazing service!!
Server was terrible
For a steakhouse at this price point, there was a real lack of attention to detail. My bread plate had crumbs on it when I sat down, dinner napkins were linty, floors were dirty (visible crumbs), and my table was wobbly. The restrooms had not been attended to and it was only 5 p.m. on an early Friday evening.
People choose Del Frisco’s for a dining experience. Because of this lack of care, my experience was sub par. I also wish they would do away with the televisions in the dining area to encourage conversation and to better distinguish itself from an overpriced sports bar.
My server was decent, but did not discuss menu features or make recommendations for wine pairings. Again, at a certain price threshold, those things are expected.
I ordered the lobster bisque, which was incredibly salty, but had a few bite sized pieces of lobster that were nicely done. However, the canned soup palette nearly spoiled the entire dish. I also had the crab cake entree and a side of Brussels sprouts. Both were well done, but the sprouts also tended toward the salty end of the flavor scale. My server asked whether I wanted them served with or without bacon. I requested without bacon because I do not eat pork, but apparently, they are cooked in bacon drippings because they had the distinct flavor of bacon. Another instance of inattention to detail. Servers should alert diners who request “no bacon” with the sprouts that they are cooked in bacon grease. There should also be an alternative preparation.
Overall, I would rate the experience a 2/5 stars. 2.5 if I were being generous. I had hoped to treat myself to a really nice meal after a rough work week and expected Del Frisco’s to deliver. Unfortunately, they did not. I doubt there will be a next time, since there are other restaurants in the city that consistently provide an exceptional dining experience at a more competitive price point.
Everything was beautiful. Thanx
Always great food and service
Great place. Amazing service. Amazing wine menu. The family loved it for my sister's birthday celebration. The only negative I would say is they pepper their steak a little heavy. The steaks are so good they only need a touch of pepper.
A wonderful dining experience from start to finish; tremendous service and excellent food. Try the Banana Bread Bread Pudding! 😉
It was wonderful
Not up to the quality that I expected from my past experience in the Del Frisco's on 6th Avenue in Manhattan. My filet mignon with only okay and the second steak was ordered as a N.Y. strip and served as a rib steak.
Amazing service and ohhhhhhh the creamed corn.
The best restaurant in Dc! Every time I go to This restaurant I have the time of my life. The outside patio is amazing! Nice area for the children.
This was my second visit and o e if the bst rstaurant experiences I've had in a long while. This time we sat upstairs which is more of an upscale dining area. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the food/drinks and the history of the restaurant. He was also very professional, friendly and funny. The food was stupendous - perfectly cooked and flavored!!! Even the matridee was very attentive. It was a great experience!!
Was seated at a table near the bar and the ability to talk over dinner was difficult at times due to the noise from the bar.
Top notch service. I ordered the Chilean sea bass but I didn’t really care for it. Good portion size though. The sides are also good portion sizes.
love love love!!!! Service was excellent. My husband loved his father's day lunch with me.. We will return. Brussels Where a hit!!! STEAK was to die for.. Bone-in Ribeye.... Yum YUM... Double Eagle Margarita topped it off well.....
Had the aged 16 oz strip, it was just okay (as it turns out, it was dramatically undercooked and it took the kitchen 15 minutes to fix the problem, by which time other diners were nearly done). I think it is far inferior to the Palm, and probably more expensive to boot. Service was not very good. The Octopus appetizer was actually pretty good, Tuna 100% missable. It wasn’t a bad meal, just a bad meal for the price.
