The food here is absolutely great. Every single time.
It was one of the best meals I’ve had. We loved the waiter!
All around great food and service
went for Washington restaurant week. Waiter was very friendly and offered us a special desert for birthday. However, he failed to bring coffee when requested and did not check our delivered meal which didn't include extra ordered fries and larger steak, both of which were NOT delivered but were on the bill. Steak dinner arrived at table only warm, not hot. There was not much traffic in the restaurant, and we were not rushed during our visit, which allowed us to relax. Unbelievable wine list - never have seen anything as impressive. Dessert was really good, and compared very favorable to other special meals at some very nice restaurants -it was NOT some small tiny dessert, but a fully serving of cheesecake. we did not order for children, but there were some around us and it looked like they had some nice children's meals available
My party came to take advantage of Restaurant Week promotion: what an incredible value. The food was delicious. Also, great service.
It was Restaurant Week on a Sunday: Slower day, colder weather, but not the best service I've had there. I was seated punctually for my reservation, drinks were ordered and choices were to be made. Things went slight awry here by having the drink orders for the table take 25 minutes to receive, we NEVER received any bread, my Steak (FM) & Medallions were undercooked, and the pecan crust on the desert tasted like it was burnt.
Obviously, this is nothing earth shattering, but I do believe they could have done better. Having said that, I would just say this was an off night and would hope my experience would be just a little bit better, Restaurant Week or not. In my prior visits, this was not my experience and service overall was better. This awesome restaurant fell a little short this time around, but I would still recommend it.
The food was disgusting and not worth it, along with the bad service. I will not return to Double Eagle again. First, the hostess was rude over the phone. I thought it was just her tone and I was mistaken, but she was rude in person as well. Then I had to signal valet to come get my car, open my door, etc when that is their job!!!! Back to the food, it was disgusting and with everything I experienced I will never come back to Double Eagle. My 2 friends agreed. Also, the waiter could care less about us. He was gone for long periods of time when we needed things. I’m not sure why because it was not crowded. A waste of time and money.
Incredible food and attentive, genuine service. No complaints!
The food is not what I expected
The steak was not cooked as ordered, but the entire meal was delicious!
Ceasar (our waiter) was absolutely amazing! He was attentive, hospitable, patient, and kind.
The food was deliciously rich and wine was superb! Our overall experience was quite enjoyable. I would most definitely recommend this restaurant to a friend!
This spot never disappoints! The service is just as good as the food. I look forward to visiting again soon.
Restaurant Week. Best food ever. Wonderful and friendly servers!!!
My first dining experience was good. I was just a little disappointed that I sent my fillet back the first time due to the wrong cooking temperature and the second fillet that arrived to my table was still the wrong temperature. I had great service and the manager took care of me by boxing my food, removed it from my check and offered me a complimentary dessert which tasted fabulous.
We had a lovely time taking advantage of the Restaurant Week lunch deals. The food was amazing (as usual), and the service Richard provided was prompt, courteous, and fun.
Looking forward to our next visit already.
Very nice ambiance especially with clear lights on different things along the street in city center. I had the filet mignon and my husband the crab cakes. Both were delicious. Wound definitely recommend this resturant
Miguel was wonderful!!! Food was AH-MAZING! The birthday girl’s dessert trio....OMG so good!!! Coming back with friends this weekend.
Was once one of my favorite places to dine! I had never visited the double eagle in DC. BUT It is a far cry from Del Frisco’s double eagle in NYC. The service was very disappointing- waited for a long time for the waiter to come over, had to ask for bread (never offered), water was refilled only after several minutes passed by after we asked and glasses were empty for 10+ minutes. I have always held Del Frisco’s to be my favorite steakhouse but I’m afraid that’s changed...
Very nice restaurant!
Great food but very slow. It took an hour to get our main entree. It was delicious when it arrived. I’ve worked in the food industry and sometimes things get backed up, but you should let your customers know and apologize or empathize.
It sucks because I’m sure this place is great normally, but leave it to a restaurant week lunch to make you feel the complete opposite. Service was nothing special, food lacked in flavor and my filet had fat on it?! We try places during restaurant week to see if they are worth spending full price. Unfortunately we will not be back to this place
I was having a business lunch and all the steak was undercooked.
A friend and I visited for lunch as a part of Restaurant Week. I was really impressed by their gluten friendly menu and they cooked my steak perfectly. Will definitely go back!
Last time they overlooked my steak. There was clearly a note in my account bc when I arrived for the reservation they promised it would be better than my last visit. The steak was cooked perfectly this time.
I went to lunch with my co workers. The waiter wasnt very attentive nor. We spent about an hour and a half in there mostly just waiting for him to bring the check and pick it back up from us. Two of my coworkers left because they needed to get back to work.
My experience is always great. First time bringing my mom for lunch and also coming for restaurant week in dc. Great food. Loved our waiter, awesome job. I recently discovered I enjoy the staff at lunch instead of dinner.
I booked this reservation for my parents during restaurant week. They facetimed whine they were there to rave about how great the service was. They loved it. I went back in July and booked their reservation because I knew they would love it. Can't wait to go again!
For what we paid the quality of steak wasn't good. I would not recommend this restaurant for steaks
I'm a first timer and happened to attend during restaurant week. And for all the wonderful things the restaurant had to offer, there were just a few things that didn't quite seem to fit within the overall design, ambiance and expectations. Both the mousse and cheesecake seemed like cool whip desserts. Tasty but not worth mentioning nor wasting calories on. As for the butter cake, it was great but ruined by the overly sweet sugary topping and sauce. The cake alone would have been sufficient. As for the meat selection and sides - they were AMAZING along with the bread. Cocktails were new twists on traditional steak house drinks but expensive and heavy pours - I could only do 1 cocktail with my meal. I
After making reservations we had two friends change plans to meet us. Initially we were met with many reasons we could not just add chairs to our party. One specifically was it wasn’t allowed. Only to later watch a total transformation of chair to accommodate another party. The young lady that helped us move was nothing short of grace; however it does not negate the response of those men around her. The meal itself was great.
Ms. Kimberly is the absolute best Manager in The Washington DC area. I simply love that lady! She always puts a that fantastic flavor on my visits to Del Frisco’s and I’m forever grateful to her!
Sam Nasir was our waiter and he was superb! Although I come to Del Frisco’s frequently, the ladies that accompanied me, It’s was their first visit. They too speak just as highly of Del Frisco’s than I do! Sam made their visit very memorable and they look forward to returning. Thank you Kimberly and Sam for a wonderful experience! 🤗🤗🤗
We went for date night during restaurant week and had a GREAT time. The food was delish. We ordered the lobster bisque, crab cake, and cheesecake and mousse. Can't wait to go back.
Overall experience was great. Hostess wasn’t the best and least favorite part of the experience. Food was tasty. Drinks were strong. Service was good.
Very pricey but an excellent meal.
Phenomenal. Always a great experience dining here.
We went for restaurant week and had a great meal at a great price! The specialty maple bacon Manhattan was delicious as was the filet mignon special.
Del Frisco’s was suggested by my husband who often goes there for business meetings with his Union coworkers. He was very accurate in his description of the food and service! Best Filet I have had in a very long time, everyone in our party was pleased with the food and the service. Thanks for a great night out, with great friends!
My husband and I are regular patrons who made a reservation for Restaurant Week to enjoy a usually tremendous meal, and were treated as insignificant. Upon arriving early for our reservation in the early evening when the restaurant was empty, we were seated in the bar area next to a cold drafty window and very close to the revolving entrancing door (it was 22 degrees out after a city wide snow closure). Also the personal heater near the door did nothing to stop the chill. From the time we were seated, it took us over 10 minutes to be acknowledged by the usually tremendous waitstaff, and the food was well below Del Frisco’s standards. We had a total of 3 waiters without consistent service, did not receive bread (though the table immediately behind us with a kind, consistent server did), and as we were handed our check were told to “finish what we would care to enjoy” of our dessert, implying no option to take our half-eaten desserts to go. If they would like even their regular customers to come back, they should improve their experience for those partaking in a semi-annual special they willingly choose to participate in without chastising their customers with a less than sub-par experience. Very disappointed is an understatement.
