Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House - Chicago Ratings and Reviews
De’eric you’re a great server very intelligent, very attentive, knew your menu and had recommendations thank you for your kind service.... Unfortunately the food didn’t stand up to the service in any way shape or form, we started with the crab cake and the Lobster bisque....... Crab cake a strong C letter grade (slightly overlooked) even though she enjoyed it.the Lobster Bisque was overly salty and we didn’t something we’ve never done and sent it back to the kitchen....... We decided on the Waygu ribeye (tomahawk) 32 oz. is massive so we decided to share... To my companion who is a steak lover she thought it was slightly too salty, while I disagreed on her opinion of it being too salty for it to be Waygu it just wasn’t as flavorful as other Waygu I’ve consumed in the past at a steakhouse the steak should really standout and it was a total miss..... The sides we had the lobster Mac and cheese and even though it had lobster it was very meh, the brussels sprouts weren’t very tasty either...... We decided on Del Frisco at the last minute and I wish we would have put more time into our thoughts.......
The Best In Chicago... This place is beautiful inside, the food was amazing. Steaks cooked to perfection. OMG.. I will not go anywhere else in Chicago for steak. Very romantic, great service, prices are high end but it's worth it because all the meals are big enough for 2 and the food is just that good.... LOVED IT
My husband and I celebrated our Anniversary here, which is New Year's Eve. The ambiance and service was superb. Many of the staff members made sure our visit was pleasant. The food was beyond amazing. They also gave us a complimentary dessert to celebrate our Anniversary. The experience exceded our expectations. We will definitely return and bring some friends.
We had a wonderful evening, as usual when dining at Del Frisco's! The food and wine was excellent, as expected. This evening was over the top however, due to our server De'eric! He was a true pleasure all evening; his knowledge, his timing skills and his great personality and ability to interact with our family. We will definately request him when we return to Chicago.
The restaurant is very large and very modern. Although we had a large party of 12 we looked rather small as the place was empty. Like other chain steakhouses in Chicago...people are leaving them for newer, smaller, more exclusive steak joints. As for the food, it was average and what you would expect. Good for a business meal, but not good enough for à date. The staff was attentive and the wine was well received.
The food was outstanding, however the customer service left a lot to be desired. Waited more than 10 min to be seated, even though we had a reservation, and the restaurant was empty. Service and timing of meal courses disappointing. Might just have been an "off" night.
Chocolate soufflé was extreme disappointment. Should have been clued in when we asked if we needed to give early notice to order for dessert and they commented that it was not necessary. The soufflé was NOT in any way or version considered a soufflé. It was a dense thick heavy chocolate cake, similar to a molten lava cake.
Had a 7:30 reservation but we had almost an hour past it for table ... food was delicious but long wait from appetizer to dinner 45 minutes... disappointed. Large table next to us was waiting on by several people. No apology or comp for waiting nearly an hour after our appetizer for our food..
Went there for my anniversary. I had the bone in ribeye, it was excellent!! this was my second time to this restaurant and I would definitely go back again . I also highly recommend the macaroni cheese and lobster side dish. EVAN was my waiter and needless to say everything was perfect. This restaurant went out of his way to make our anniversary a fabulous and memorable time.
Dine here on December 6th to celebrating my boyfriend 60th birthday they went above and beyond to make his day and our dining experience wonderful. Could not have asked for a better place to celebrate this milestone. The staff went above and beyond with making his birthday special. I love the extra touches that they give to people celebrating occasions personal handwritten note which I thought was over-the-top and was not expecting. They also gave him a glass of champagne and a lovely dessert well actually three desserts. I also brought in a cake for him they allowed us to take pictures with the cake however they do not allow you to eat the cake in the restaurant which was totally fine. Thank you for making my love feel loved on his Big day.
I ❤️ the food! Shrimp Remoulade, filet, salads....all so delicious! I took my daughters there for a special night and we all loved our dinners. I was happy to find a moderately priced wine on the Wine List. Our servers were attentive and explained the specials well. It is a very pretty venue. A little noisy, though....
Amazing meal with delicious food and fantastic service. Our server Eric had great recommendations, he went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our meal. We haven't enjoyed a meal out like this in quite some time! Highly recommend the onion rings, brussell sprouts and the lobster Mac and cheese.
I can not recommend this restaurant as too many details were missed. We had a party of three and there was something wrong with every course of the meal. We were even told that the soup was cold because the steam table ran out of water and the soup wasn’t being held to temperature. Completely unacceptable for a meal that costs over $125 per person.
Food was delicious. But we were disappointed with our server becasue it took awhile for her to come to our table after we were first seated. Then our entree course took a long time to come out after the appetizier. Otherwise we enjoyed ourselves becasue of the atmosphere.
What a find! Our Thanksgiving/Birthday celebration couldn't be more wonderful.
Food fabulous. Wait staff attentive & friendly. Décor modern elegance. Staff paid attention to my open table birthday cake request. I want to tell everyone, but not because I'd like to keep Del Fresco's to myself!
I've dined here often. I love your steaks and sides. I especially love the lemon cake and the thick sliced bacon. My first time there the waiter had to talk me into trying the thick sliced bacon appetizer because it sounds terrible from the description. Really don't know what else to say, except I wish you were open Christmas Day.
